Great service at the hotel from the reception to the cocktail bar to the breakfast staff. Rooms we’re comfortable with a comfy bed and all you require for a few nights away. Location was €10 taxi from Centraal Station or a 20min walk through a few lovely parks. Great park on doorstep of hotel with ducks and a large pond and 3-4 min walk from Tootbus stop. Variety of restaurants/places to drink outside of the hotel away from the busy central area.

The room size was OK. I was in a Deluxe room on the 2nd floor with balcony and view to the inner courtyard. I had specifically asked for a quiet room on a higher floor (arrival was on a Friday, stayed until Sunday). During both nights there were festivities going on in the hotel (first a bachelor party and the next night the wedding). The noise (music, etc.) in the evening and during the night was unacceptable for such a high standard hotel. Even when the windows were closed, the noise was clearly audible. Around midnight I went to the reception to complain - both nights. I was told that this event would go on until at least 3 a.m. I was offered to move to another room - but I did not accept that, since I expected to be disturbed by the noise in most rooms. I was told that at my check-out a manager would be available to take in person my complaint - which, of course did not happen. On Saturday after lunch I wanted to have coffee/cake with a friend in the hotel restaurant/terrace. It took the waiter almost 20 minutes to come and take our order. When arriving at our table, he just told us that there is a QR code which we need to scan in to see the menu. We did not place an order and left - very disappointing experience! Another issue was that I was travelling alone and was put in a room with connecting doors, which I believe is not suitable for solo travellers, esp. for females. I informed the hotel about all the above and received only very poor replies. The noise situation has to be improved - if a hotel does not have suitable rooms for parties, then don't rent them out when you have paying guests who at least want to sleep at midnight.
Hotel Le Plaza Brussels

I was whisked away to old world opulence as I walked into Le Plaza. The ornate chandelier, intricate carpet, and polished seating created a luxurious atmosphere. I was greeted by a friendly night front desk staff member named Ashley. He checked me in quickly and let me know that I could order something to eat if I was hungry. The elevator ride up to my room was a delight. The hallway was decorated in a vintage style, and my room, 534, felt like a miniature villa. The bathroom was gorgeous, and it had all the amenities I needed. It was a bit of a mix of vintage and modern, with a flat screen TV. The floor-to-ceiling windows let in a lot of natural light, and I woke up feeling luxurious every morning. The food at Le Plaza was delicious. I had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The service was also excellent. I never had to wait long for anything, and the staff was always friendly and attentive. I injured myself during my stay, and Ashley and the other night staff member, Luis, were very helpful. They gave me first aid supplies and helped me get ice for my injury. I was very grateful for their help. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Le Plaza. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. The location of the hotel is great. It's in the heart of the city, close to all the major attractions The hotel offers a variety of room types, so you can find the perfect one for your needs. The hotel has a variety of dining options, so you can find something to suit your taste. I hope this helps!

Louise
We stayed on a Saturday to Monday in June, reception staff let us check in just after 11:30am which was really nice. The room was great and spacious, bed very comfy and large, air con worked perfectly for a hot weekend, the shower was amazing and good power, also the lovely L’Occitane products!! The hotel is modern and clean, good breakfast, lovely lounging bar area outside - although expensive, the espresso martini was a good one and I enjoyed the club sandwich. A couple of times our vodka was forgotten & we were just given soft drinks but they sorted it at the bar, a shame that the cheaper vodka brands were all gone though.. Louise is a good area and also not a far walk to the main grand place central area too. Our favourite restaurant nearby was colonel steakhouse, there are also lots of shops and bars. I wish we stayed more than 2 nights. If we return to Brussels we would definitely stay here again thank you!

Can't fault cleanliness and location but apart from the entrance hall the hotel is tired and needs upgrading. I have been to the hotel many times before and recommended it to friends but this time it was very disappointing and I wont go there again. They seem to have stripped all facilites and service to the minimum and definitely don't seem to care about the customer experience. On arrival the staff at reception were exceptionally slow and unwelcoming with long queues to check in. The staff were neither helpful nor friendly and at times abrupt and rude. They were uninterested in answering any queries and failed to rectify faults throughout our stay. Having booked 5 rooms there were errors and mistakes with rooms offered against had been booked. I had booked similar rooms at the same time and same rate but the quality and size of the rooms we were given was vastly different. They argued that some of the rooms did not have breakfast included despite having booked for all 5 and had confirmation of booking. They failed to explain we needed tickets for breakfast and failed to give them to us at check in. The rooms were clean but needed updating and redecorating. There were no mini bars or tea/coffee making facilities in the room - but the cabinets had been left taking up space but empty and empty with out shelves so had not been repurposed , taking up space in very small rooms. I had about 4 inches clearance between this cabinet and the bed, making moving around the room awkward. The toiletries provided were sub-standard, a small sachet to cover both body and hair wash which was insufficient for either. The towels were ragged at the edges and needed replacing, further evidence that the hotel has cut back on facilites and quality. Catering was sub standard. There was no way to get a cup of tea or coffee in the morning without going to the breakfast room - you could not get tea or coffee in the room before going down to breakfast - and if you only wanted a cup of tea or coffee in the morning you had to pay £12 for the breakfast to access tea and coffee. There was no drinking water available in the room. The breakfast was poor quality with a limited range and the cooked food was limited and cold. What a shame that this ideally located hotel has gone downhill - I would not recommend it to anyone until they get their act together and employ customer friendly, helpful and competent reception staff.
