Hotel Brynton Cameron Highlands

We stayed in this beautiful boutique hotel in the Centrum area where it is surrounding with all the eatery restaurants, bars (The Brew House), convenience store (7-11 & Family Mart), cafe and etc. The check in process is smooth and the receptionist are kind enough to brief us what are the nearby amenities and attractions. Our unit comes with free breakfast and they actually collaborate with Bungkus Now and Lao You Gui Gui whereby we can have options to choose what we want for our breakfast. The choices are mainly local delights (Nasi lemak, toast bread with half boiled egg, mee siam, porridge and fried noodle). Drinks like tea or coffee also available. Our unit also comes with a reserved parking lot which is just right in front of the hotel. We booked the 3 bedroom suite and this cosy unit comes with a big living hall and nice island table for the kids who want to have their snacks. All 3 bedrooms comes with 1 x Queen size bed with ensuite bathroom. There is a study table and chair in case you need to check your email or do some paperworks. What I like is every side of the bed also comes with AC plug for us to charge our phone. There is no aircon in the unit and only comes with ceiling fan which is good enough as the natural breeze is already cold enough! Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone which want to stay in a new property. For those who visited Cameron Highland before should know most of the hotels here are very old and doesnt really comfort to stay.

Please, hotel owner, ensure that your personnel does their jobs correctly and the room is prepared before welcoming the guest. Dust is all on the walls. I've captured a photo as evidence. It smells musty and hasn't been occupied for a while when you open the door. My room 205. The receptionist charged RM30 when I asked to change rooms. The housekeeping was fortunate to arrive and remove all the dust. a waste of time.

1. Room - Terrible! My mum ended up sleeping in the living room instead due to unbearable smell in the room. - The pillows are so smelly that even with pillow cover, you can still smell the stench. The smell of the pillow is like the sweaty shirt of which you kept for weeks before washing it. - The mold starts to grow on the pillow. - We ended up buying a new pillow outside from nearby grocery store. - Futon beds provided are full of spider web and smelly. - Bed sheets are full of yellowish stain and even blood spots. - The cleanliness is at worst that the bed stand even has mold! - My family got sick immediately the next day staying in this place. If you have allergy or low tolerance to weird smell, this is not the place for you. 2. Kitchen - Very dirty with cabinet door is broken. - There are mushroom growing inside the cabinet and the door is broken and unable to close it tight. - When I opened the cabinet door, unknown insects flied out with a very bad smell inside the cabinet. - The kitchenware is horrible, oven is rusty and they place the big black dustbin in the kitchen next to living room, so basically if you are sitting in the living room, the big black dustbin is next to you. - Electric kettle is rusty 3. Toilet - Cameron Highlands is a cold place but the centralized heater is not working well. If you have more than 2 people staying, the third people will have to bath with cold water. The hot water is very inconsistent and when the hot water in the tank runs out, you will have to bath with icy cold water in the middle of your shower. - The ceiling of the toilet is full of mold. - All the toilet covers are broken! 4. Surrounding - Right outside my room looks like a dumpsite. I cannot open the window, else, the whole house will smell like dumpsite. - Refuse room is a few feet away and once you open the door, the stench is like dead rats. - Refuse room door is left open wide and you need to hold your breath once you are out and walk to lift. - In front of the apartment looks nice but when you go to the back, rubbish is all over the road. 5. Management - Notice stated that the management closes at 8PM, I called them at 7:35PM to request to change a new pillow and they hanged up on me and SMS me ”Can't talk now”. I replied the SMS to request for new pillow but until I checked out, no one responded to me. - No housekeeping at all. I do not see them around. 6. Wi-Fi - Even the WiFi is bad, I was staying at Level 1 and the router is in Level 2. Two levels of houses share 1 router. There is no individual router in your house. - All the rooms has NO wifi coverage except living room.

The location is halfway up the mountain, empty ‵ Qi fresh, I like the decoration design in the homestay very beautiful, very new, there is a fairytale feeling, the photo looks beautiful, except for the narrow room space, other equipment is very satisfied.

It’s a shared building that consist the hotel itself with some restaurants, laundry place and few more small stores. Location wise, About 10minutes walk to big red strawberry farm and cactus valley but to the nearest mall (CentruM) will take about 20minutes walk. (a bit away from the city). Hotel itself are quite old, bed & curtain were torn but they maintain the place quite tidy and clean. Breakfast selection were decent, two types of noodle, nasi lemak & congee with plenty option of side dishes. Its a place for someone who wanna save budget.
