very poor tiny family room and the worst bed i have ever slept on,paid £180 for one night in september,take no notice of the lovely sea view in the picture our room said sea view but you would have to stick your head out of the window to see the sea,rip of price,never again.

Wonderful staff, very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Supported me with my needs. Great location, very convenient and great price. So close to the sea which makes it easy for early morning and late night times on the beach, and easy to drop things back during the day!

I had 3 nights with my sister at Strawberry Fields, Brighton. The twin room was very nice and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the shower, it was old and needs updating. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again though and maybe ask for a room with a better shower.

Friendly helpful staff. Great location for what we wanted. Bus stop at end of road takes you to the station. Room was ok. Immaculate bedding and towels. Unfortunately TV had no signal and no hairdryer. Carpet needs attention as does toilet seat. All in all good value for money and would definitely use again for short stay!

A very good hotel. It’s a bit tired but the price reflected this. The rooms are nice, location is fantastic and the staff are lovely and helpful. It can be a bit noisy with people going up and down the stairs but I’m happy to put up with that. I will definitely stay here next time I visit Brighton.

The room seemed like it had been renovated in the 80’s and kept clean since. Check in at 4 seemed strange or pay an extra £25. The room was clean but tired. Street lights really lit up the room throughout the night through the partially broken shutters. The double bed was two singles pushed together with a big uncomfortable ridge in the middle. The shower was warm but the head was semi blocked. The radiator turned on early evening as the room was freezing. It wouldn’t turn on in the morning, the room was freezing. For £85 it was ok but won’t be visiting again. There’s a far superior one just a few doors up.

We stayed for 1 night and would happily book here again! Firstly, I did my research and saw from each room description that some had shared toilet facilities which my husband and I didn't want so we deliberately booked a room with an ensuite bathroom (anyone complaining about shared facilities should read before they book!). Our room was clean and exactly what we expected for such a cheap price! The furniture and carpet were old, but the bed was made beautifully & the bathroom was clean and there was a kettle with coffee etc which was perfect. Other reviews complain about no parking included, again this is explained on the website so again, we did our research beforehand and knew our options. We managed to park right outside the hotel from 4pm until 9am for about £9.40...a bargain for Brighton!! (There is also parking at a underground car park nearby and at Buzz Bingo about a 10 min walk away). The location was perfect, a 10-20 min walk into the centre depending on where you're trying to get to. And finally the staff...the check in guy was smiling, polite, chatty, funny & helpful and the night porter was polite & helpful (I would never mark anyone down for not smiling at 1am 😄). We unfortunately lost our phone and they couldn't have been any more helpful, we really appreciated the effort they made to try and help us. All in all we would very happily recommend this place and stay again. Thank you if you read this!

Booked a last minute trip to Brighton and decided after several searches to book the Strawberry Fields and I’m glad I did. Location is ideal for the sea front and Central Pier, and for what Brighton has to offer. It is about a 20 minutes walk from the station and a short walk from several restaurants and bars in Kemptown. On arrival we rang the door bell and were quickly checked in and given the key to our room. I booked a twin room and was given room 13 which was up a few flights of stairs. Room was bright and airy and spotlessly clean. amenities in the room included Tea&Coffee and small glasses for water. Bathroom in this room was clean and functional but old fashioned. the shower and flooring itself looked in need of replacing. However the water pressure was fine and water was hot. I would definitely recommend and stay here again the next time I visit Brighton.
