Woodberry Inn

Absolutely beautiful inn. It was immaculate and clean throughout. The whole building was decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Plenty of free parking and a lovely quiet location just a few minutes walk from the town center. We were given a warm welcome and check in was fast and easy. We were absolutely delighted with our room. It is one of the few places that the hotel actually looks like the pictures! Just beautiful. The breakfast menu was extensive and the food and drink was delicious and of high quality. All staff we met were welcoming, friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend the Woodbury Inn to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

The hotel felt welcoming and warm and a great location for us. The things that let it down were the most important elements. The bed, had a very poor mattress. You could feel all the springs, it clearly needs updating The breakfast was also poor, although included in the rate it wasn't good and quite sparce. Usually charging £9.50 it sadly wasn't value for money. A nice hotel but unfortunately let down by the above.

Booked Mothers day Sunday lunch for 5 today. We felt rushed to the table and informed we were 1st sitting of 4...so needed to get to table. Order was taken promptly but then meal took quite some time to arrive (30 mins) the roast beef was very tough and over cooked, turkey was dry.... very dry and medoly of vegetables was tepid to say the least. Wine was £24:99 a bottle for an £8:99 bottle front Sainsbury. Overall a very disappointing average meal with a very inflated price tag, shame as had heard good reviews. Won't be returning.

Went with my wife for Sunday lunch on 30 October 2022, we have been here several times and had some nice meals but on this occasion it was not to be, everything seemed to have been bought in ie:- the roast potatoes, turkey and the vegetables all seemed to have been pre frozen plus we had to sit in a noisy bar as they had a private function on in the restaurant which we weren’t told about until we arrived. Apparently a few days later I learned that they hadn’t got a chef hence the pre frozen food.

Stayed one night on our way to west Wales, but would definitely stay again. Really clean and comfy room, with nice en-suite. We were overlooking the beer garden and over the bar. It is a working bar and restaurant, so we expected some noise, but there was nothing excessive, just the normal rumble of voices, and to be honest I had the best nights sleep I have had in a long time! We ate in the pub the evening of our stay, and the food was lovely - no complaints at all. Breakfast (which was included in our room cost) was also excellent and plentiful. There was a large wedding party staying in most (all) of the other rooms, and sometimes the service was a tiny bit slow, but nothing that detracted from our stay

Good - Location is OK, 10 min walk to centre. Reasonably quiet residential road. Parking. Bad - Terribly uncomfortable beds - springs poking into you, no support whatsoever. Same as my student beds! Ugly - Service at breakfast times is short and burdensome. If ordering a hot breakfast after 9.30 staff seem put out. On one occasion at 9.50am requested more toast to be told - sorry chef is closed up that area! Summary, High rates for quite an average accommodation and under par service.
