There are only four floors in the hotel, and you have to pay an unknown tax every day of your stay. A breakfast starts at $70 bbd. The hotel environment is average, and there are unknown bugs in the elevator.

Vistited as first time day pass guests on Emancipation day. Room and food were nice ,however, the atmosphere was VERY unwelcoming and unfriendly. From "The-Tired-of-Day-Pass Guest Attitude" Reception Guy, to "The-I-Don't-Give-A..."restaurant staff Service from staff was piss POOR! Had to walk up to a restaurant staff member to get help, even though they looked around and saw us there looking lost. This slim mature-looking guy said "Yes this is Centro, you can go and have a seat " offering a table inside, while others looked on. I asked to sit on the outside because it would be less cold,he said nothing, we went outside . 10 minutes later,NOTHING. I watched 2 staff coming out and going in in that time .Got up and looked through the glass door to see if everyone went home, someone looked across from the counter. I sat back down, still nothing. We went back inside after 15 minutes total, only the cashier was still there. Stated what happened and that I didn't understand. She said nothing. Just "Do you know what you want to order?" afterwards. She looked for the menu, took the order, gave us a bill to sign and eventually said "You can go back and sit down " ,after someone handed us 2 drinks. We got cups and went back outside. The mats came with the food in tow. Food order called out, placed down correctly, and not another word! Another eventually came by to ask if the food was good. I nodded yes ,as my mouth was full. Still no water though. I left questioning the standards.

Went on business last week with a diverse group from all over the Caribbean. It was an excellent trip. Extremely courteous staff throughout all areas of operations. Many small gestures done. Buffet breakfast were large, varied and tasty; included an omelette station, fresh baked bread / pastries, etc. Rooms and bathrooms were always cleaned every day and properly re-stocked (small handwritten notes to guests). They brought in fresh coconuts one day during one of our business sessions!! Beach is across the street, 5 min walk. My only peeve was the stay was not recorded on my Marriott BonVoy account despite pointing it out on arrival (I’ll have to follow up). Will look forward to next visit there. Great value for money.

My recent trip to Barbados was elevated by my stay at Courtyard Marriott. The professionalism of the staff, coupled with clean and comfortable rooms, made for an unforgettable experience. The attentive restaurant staff added to the charm, and the hotel's convenient location provided easy access to transportation. A special congratulations to the General Manager for maintaining such high standards of hospitality. Courtyard Marriott exceeded my expectations in every aspect. #BarbadosTravel #CourtyardMarriott #HospitalityExcellence #TravelExperience

Do not use lobby ATM. I need to get local currency for a day trip and taxi fare. I used the ATM in the courtyard lobby which was the only place I used my bank atm. The next day while we were on our trip, my bank called to review transactions. 3 fraud transactions occurred on my card and I had to close the account while on vacation. Luckily I had a credit card with me.

After travelling for 15 hours we were looking forward to chilling out. On arrival we were told our room was not ready despite the booking confirmation stating 3pm. It was eventually ready at 6pm! This is obviously a regular occurrence as we were given a poorly photo copied slip offering us a free meal in their grill restaurant or reward points. As we were exhausted we decided to use the meal voucher but the food was mediocre, although the staff were lovely. Our room (211) was very dark and tired and in need of an update with a very noisy air con unit. We fell into bed and the following morning threw the curtains back to find somebody lying on a sunbed 2/3 feet from our full length bedroom window!

The Hotels is close to Bridgetown. So approx. 45 minutes to walk to get to downtown Bridgetown. Nice beaches are close, so in walking distance. The hotel itself is not direct on the beach, separated by the main street to Bridgetown. It is a typical Courtyard, not yet modernized, so old styled bath etc. But it's clean and well maintained. So depending what you are looking for. It not ideal for a relaxed vacation on the beach but for short stay a good choice.

The hotel and staff were amazing. From the moment you walk through the door you are greeted by the front desk staff with a smile. I was helped by Janelle & Shaquille they were helpful and gave me a lot of good information about the hotel and the surrounding area of what to do and eat. I also met the front desk manager Vernita and the GM Kelly-Ann who were very accommodating with any request i had. They were so helpful with getting us into a room with a nice view of the sunrise & set. They wanted to upgrade us to a suite but unfortunately none were available for the full 7 nights we were there. If you dont know about the Marriott Bonvoy program you should register. Even working with me to decorate the room while we were out for my girlfriends birthday. The food was great and reasonably priced, i cant remember having anything we didn't enjoy and we tried almost everything on the menu. Its not often hotel resturants have great food. But more importantly the staff was very pleasent and helpful. Chanel & Tranisha were sooooo amazing. Greeted me as soon as they saw me by name. It was a pleasure speaking with them and being served by them. The hotel also has a localncar service company with a desk on-site for your transportation needs. From car rental to taxi service. You can even book and have the charges added to your room bill for added convenience. Even though this property isnt a beach front. You still have views of the ocean from some of the rooms and it is a short walk from 2 different beaches. The entire staff was just simply amazing and really made our experience that much better. I would definitely reccomend staying here on your next trip to Barbados.
