Hazelwood House

lovely hotel surrounded by trees with very nice gardens. very well maintained. the hosts were very friendly. father and daughter im guessing. room clean and tidy, cant fault anything really. about a mile outside of bridgend, would definitely book to stay here again.

Lovely B&B. Very friendly staff, great facilities and amazing value for money. I will definitely stay again when working away. Much more of a homely feel than a corporate Hotel

This place was faultless, they had thought of everything. Was given a very warm welcome and throughout our stay. It's definitely value for money, we will be returning soon. The room No6 was spacious with a king sized bed, needed a Sat Nav to find my other half LOL. Cooked breakfast was 10/10.

Ease of booking. Owner Tony was always pleasant and courteous when I called. He was the same in person. Nothing was enough trouble. Would stay again.breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Very good value. Bedding was very clean. Many amenities to make stay comfortable.

Can't really understand the reviews on here. Booked a room here for a night stay and having seen the room, disgusting, walked back out. I have done lots of stays everywhere but have never encountered a room with such bad cleanliness as this one. Shocking. We not offered any refund either be warned.

A lovely little guest house and an excellent location. The rooms are not very modern looking but the room I stayed in had plenty of space, beds were extremely comfy and the room was clean. The bathroom was spacious and I had a lovely hot bath! The breakfast was delicious and a nice choice of foods for the continental breakfast. Staff are really friendly and welcoming and always seem happy for a chat. They were also very helpful when it came to trying to find taxi's. The guest house is a small drive (5 mins or less) from bridgend town and a Tesco, but I feel you would need to drive there as I didn't see any train or bus stops. there is also a small spar which is about a 5/10 minute walk. I would definitely recommend the guest house and would stay there again

After an horrendous experience the night before, staying at Blanco's Hotel in Port Talbot, it was wonderful to return to this smart, comfortable, beautiful guest-house that we had stayed in some years previously. Tony the owner welcomed us in like old friends, our room was clean, bright and very comfortable with added features such as a fridge, microwave and even wine glasses for guests who don't want to dine out. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff who have all worked at Hazelwood for years were attentive, polite and friendly. The breakfast was amazing, with a choice of cooked or continental breakfast, served in a cosy, beautifully set out dining room. I loved the 'proper' tablecloths and napkins and matching crockery, a stylish touch that made breakfast feel like a real treat - which it was! We left feeling that we had had a really relaxing break. We have already decided to make this our base when we return to Wales in September. Excellent value for money too! Highly recommended.

Excellent position for exploring the area, close to the main road to the motorway junction, but little noise from it. Peaceful and calm gardens. The décor is perhaps a little dated, but it's all immaculately clean, and the room was full of extras for our convenience, including a fridge and a microwave! Breakfast was well-cooked and substantial, with lots of choice in the "Continental" option. The hosts were pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Again, an excellent stay here for 6 nights. As usual the hosts were fantastic and very welcoming. If anyone is considering a stay in Bridgend I can highly recommend the accommodation and hospitality.
