An excellent hotel in a great location - beautifully situated on the coast and freshly renovated. Fantastic family apartments and soothing surroundings of a pine forest. Very nice staff speaking English :) The food in the All Inclusive version is very tasty and diverse, including meat and vegetarian options, seafood, local dishes, fruit and vegetables, as well as pizza straight from the oven, sweets and ice cream. I highly recommend it!

Just returned from a 12 day holiday at Bluesun hotel Berulia. What a wonderful place this is. We are a family of 4 with 2 daughters in their 20's. Had 2 x standard sea view rooms (321 & 322) overlooking the pool and beautiful sea view with dinner and breakfast. I am a little confused over some of the reviews on here. I think in a 5 star hotel you are always going to have people with unrealistic and unnecessary expectations and take it from me (and everyone else we met on this trip) that this hotel is absolutely perfect for singles, couples, families young and old. You are right on the sea front with steps down to the lovely promenade that meanders for a few miles either side of the hotel. The lovely pebbly, clean beaches are at the foot of the hotel which we visited and swam in each day. The food at the hotel is probably the nicest we have had overall (we have been to many hotels) and what we all loved is that EVERY person who worked at the hotel gives you a smile and says hello. The manager of the hotel is quite promenant and is there all the time, greeting people and helping his staff team. He and his team all seeming to love their jobs (I love that). Lovely atmosphere in this hotel and would thoroughly recommend. Definitely one to go back to. Noticed local cafes closing down from 1st October- but still a few dotted around that were open. Also, important to mention that the hotel allows you to wear smart shorts at dinner. This is always a must for my hubby as he wears shorts throughout the winter even in the UK. The hotel is fabulous, love the decoration of rooms and general areas.the staff from reception ,bar ,waitress,cooks and house keeping are really friendly,they are all very welcoming.The breakfast is superb and evening dinner is first class .we were on bed and breakfast but eaten in hotel restaurants on a few nights which was really good. The spa area is good but has a few issues which I am not pleased about which needs addressing,why being here they had 30% off spa but was not advertised,we only found out when we went to pay for a massage,when my wife paid for her predicure she was charged full price ,I complain about this to spa staff but it only apply to massages not anything else but I was told by one spa lady it was for everything then another it’s only on a Monday. So be careful the 30% is only massages but then I got court out ,I had a massage for one hour the they charge me the half hour rate twice €40 x 2 =€80 but other massages were €70 for an hour but were similar in treatments so if you are booking one hour go for €70 treatments ,so they made an extra €10 .oh yes you don’t get receipt for cash , but credit card you do.it looks like it’s going elsewhere. Now my other issue is Jacuzzi ,indoor pool area ,all the tiles are coming off in bottom and making the bottom sharp ,this is dangerous and should be closed someone is going to have a accident so be aware. The resort area is wonderful,the walks around bay and all restaurants. You must so the Waterfall trip ,it’s fabulous, book with hotel not Tui,it’s cheaper. Just one other thing that could be improved, a welcome drink would be nice on arrival after a long travel to get here but nothing .this is the first place in all my travels this has happened ,I was in Croatia last year and 5 years ago and we got drinks in both hotels but not here ,it just would be nice as a welcome to our hotel .very poor otherwise hotel first class.

My thoughts about the hotel, where I have together with my wife just spent 9 nights with half board. Pros: - Great location and views (maybe not in all rooms) - Modern, clean and nicely designed rooms and facilities - Very good room cleaning service - Kind staff Cons: - Poorly managed dining service - Mediocre and sometimes simply unsatisfactory cooking - Not really suitable for vegetarians (you will get by, but your options are very limited and very repetitive) - Atmosphere of pretentiousness that makes the experience at the hotel a bit tense. The staff managment is probably desperate to make the whole thing seem top-class, but lacks both the experience and know-how which often creates grotesque situations that manifest especially during dining. - Rooms need a couple more tweaks regarding practicality, the same goes for spa. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommed the hotel, but you would be smart to have dinners some place else.
