"We stayed here for a business trip. It's very close to the Seoul outlets, which makes shopping super convenient. The only downside is that the dining options nearby aren't great. We arrived at the hotel around 9 PM, and the only place still open was the fried chicken restaurant run by the hotel on the first floor. Everyone there was Chinese, too."

"I had an excellent 6-night stay at ENA Suite Hotel Namdaemun. The hotel is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of City Hall Station, Namdaemun Market, Deoksugung Palace, and many restaurants and convenience stores. It was very convenient for sightseeing and using public transportation throughout Seoul.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, especially by Seoul standards. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well maintained, and housekeeping did a great job every day. The in-room amenities and reliable Wi-Fi made the stay even more enjoyable.
What impressed me most was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They were always helpful, courteous, and willing to assist whenever needed.
The hotel offers excellent value for money, combining a convenient location, comfortable accommodations, and quality service. After spending 6 nights here, I can confidently recommend ENA Suite Hotel Namdaemun to both first-time visitors and returning travelers to Seoul."

I also really enjoyed the view from the hotel, which made our stay even more pleasant and relaxing. The hotel service itself was outstanding. We arrived early in the morning, around 10 a.m., and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They allowed us to check in shortly after arrival without any extra fees or complications, which we truly appreciated after a long trip.

Excellent Stay at Roynet Hotel Mapo — Great Location & Wonderful Upgrade!
We had a fantastic stay at Roynet Hotel Mapo during our family trip to Seoul. The location near Mapo/Gongdeok station is absolutely perfect — easy access to the subway made exploring the city effortless, from Gyeongbokgung Palace to Hongdae and Myeongdong.
We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a Premium Room, which was spacious, well-appointed and very comfortable for our family of four. The room was spotlessly clean with modern amenities and a lovely view.
The highlight was access to the Executive Lounge — a wonderful bonus that we truly appreciated. The lounge offered a relaxed atmosphere, great refreshments, and attentive service. It made our mornings and evenings so much more enjoyable, especially with two kids in tow!
The staff throughout were warm, professional and incredibly helpful — nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast spread was impressive with a good variety of Korean and Western options.
Mapo is a great neighbourhood — safe, vibrant and full of great dining options just steps from the hotel.

"I stayed at this hotel while visiting Korea for a health check-up at Korea University Guro Hospital, and my first impression was excellent thanks to the incredibly kind front desk staff. Since I needed to drink a lot of water for my colonoscopy preparation, they generously provided plenty of bottled water and showed such warm hospitality throughout my stay.
I stayed in Room 803, and the small private balcony with a beautiful city view was absolutely wonderful. I stayed with my mother, and the bedding was so clean and comfortable that I was able to forget my worries about the health check-up the next day and sleep very peacefully.
Another thing I really appreciated was the taxi stand located right outside the hotel. Since I did not have a Korean phone number, it was difficult to call Kakao Taxi, so having taxis readily available made everything so convenient. It only cost about 5,800 won to comfortably get to Korea University Guro Hospital.
Thank you again for the kindness and wonderful service. I would gladly stay here again in the future."

"Very thankful that they are English speaking PLUS PLUS PLUS they help store our bicycle boxes (6 of us) until we return after our ride to Busan. However we also note that thy have limited space which is why best to use soft bicycle case which can be folded up and stacked nearly. I trust that they can help handle bigger groups, just need to call them up and ask nicely.
Love the hotel rooms too, though a bit tight but the space is generous enough for us to navigate even with unpacking and packing our bicycles with 2 person in a shared room.
Thank you Best Western Premier Gangnam for making our first and last day in Seoul pleasurable for we have the best sleep in the single bed."

"Traveling with kids means location, transport, and dining options, catering to both crowds and quiet spots, are all key considerations. First off, the location was perfect – the airport shuttle drops you right at the hotel, just across the street. We noticed fewer Chinese guests and more European and American visitors. Right opposite the hotel, there's Olive Young, McDonald's, and a fried chicken joint. To the left and right of the hotel entrance, you'll find a 7-Eleven on each side. The streets behind the hotel are packed with restaurants. Just about 200 meters to the left of the hotel entrance is Mapo Subway Station, which is only one stop from Yeouido Department Store – super convenient. If you head right from the hotel, you'll reach Gongdeok Subway Station, where you can find the popular Egg Drop sandwiches, which are a great value for breakfast. The hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste, so it's a good idea to bring your own set. If you forget, there's a machine on the first floor where you can buy them. For your return journey, you can catch the airport shuttle to the airport right in front of the McDonald's opposite the hotel. You can buy tickets on-site by scanning a QR code or paying with cash. Highly recommend this hotel for families with children."

"This hotel was perfectly located for exploring Seoul. On my first evening, even though I arrived a few hours later than planned, I was still able to enjoy an evening walk at Changgyeonggung Palace, followed by dinner at Gwangjang Market, a stroll along Cheonggyecheon Stream, and a walk back to the hotel via the charming street of cafés and bars beside the walls of Jongmyo Shrine. Public transportation was very convenient, with several bus stops within a block or two of the hotel, and there were multiple convenience stores and restaurants nearby as well. Despite being so centrally located, the area did not feel crowded, noisy, or especially touristy. It is also close to SNUH, which may be a plus for some travelers. My favorite part of the stay was the view of Changgyeonggung Palace from my room.
The room was comfortable and perfectly adequate, though not especially fancy. My main complaints were that the bedside plug was awkwardly hidden behind the mattress, and that the toilet did not have a bidet, which was particularly inconvenient given that toilet paper cannot be flushed."

Check in took a while as the reception takes every guest personally to their own rooms to give a thorough explanation of services and amenities. I was worried I’d be cold in the room but the heating is excellent - quiet and efficient. Breakfast is self serve - you cook your own eggs and make your own toast and cereal. The microwave and pantry was greet for late night noodles and snacks! Lots of convenience stores, restaurants and shops nearby - you can eat and shop till you drop! A great stay and I will definitely be back again. Thank you Ara125!

GGuest UserThis hotel's location is absolutely perfect! It's right by the Hongdae subway station, and downstairs you'll find Olive Young, Adidas, and Musinsa. It's truly in the heart of Hongdae, the 'universe center.' You can also tell it's popular with international guests because they provide universal power adapters, disposable slippers, and even a capsule coffee machine. Aside from the room and bed being a bit small, everything else was 100% perfect. I'm so satisfied!

LLion SLocation is the best possible. I've been to Seoul before, but Hongdae is the best location in the city for me, so many restaurants, shops, and cafes around. The rooms are clean, but I didn't like the slippers the hotel provides. They are so thin they're practically useless. The walls are thin as well, so your neighbors might wake you up. Breakfast needs to include more vegetables. Most dishes offered are carbs, and that should be changed. The staff are helpful, kind, and professional.

GGuest UserTraveling during the May Day holiday, prices were inflated, and after comparing a few options, I felt Nine Tree offered the best value for money. I stayed for 4 nights and saved almost 2000 KRW compared to staying in Mapo, which I then used for taxis – a good deal.
The hotel is quite close to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village. For other destinations, we took taxis. A taxi to Myeongdong was only about 10-odd thousand won, so taxis in Korea weren't as expensive as I imagined.
The surrounding area is very quiet, giving off a vibe of a developed place that's also peaceful. Jogyesa Temple is right across the street, and Insadong is nearby.
There were many foreigners staying here.
The service, facilities, and cleanliness were all good.
My only minor complaint was that the duvet cover felt a bit stiff and crinkled loudly. Also, the windows couldn't be opened, making the room feel a bit dry.

YYuenahezhujishiI've stayed at this hotel in Kyoto before and wanted to see if the Seoul branch had the same great environment, but there's a noticeable difference. The air conditioning was simply unacceptable; it was so hot! The AC system is clearly outdated and couldn't regulate the temperature. Even with outside temperatures at -5 degrees Celsius, I was sweating in a short-sleeved shirt and couldn't sleep. The breakfast was pretty much the same every day and quite mediocre. It's fine for a day or two if you're in a pinch, but having it every day at the hotel was a bit much for me. ☹️

The hygiene is just okay; I found a hair on the bed, and the bedding felt a bit old and worn. The duvet was also a little thin. The bathroom has a bathtub, which isn't very convenient; I think it would be better to remove it, though that might be too costly. The hotel's location is excellent, right near Dongdaemun, with plenty of shopping malls and restaurants nearby. The price isn't too high either, so overall, it's great value for money.

I was traveling with two kids, and they told me I had to pay an extra 550,000, claiming a room is only for two adults and one child, and an additional child incurs a fee. I accepted it, but then they tried to charge me again for an extra bed! Meanwhile, they were super friendly to foreigners – what a bunch of chameleons.
The dust in the room's wardrobe was super thick, and the top surfaces were also dusty. The tissues in the room ran out on the first day and were never refilled; we went without tissues for the next three days.
Oh, and when I arrived at the hotel at 12 PM, they told me check-in wasn't until 3 PM. But once I paid the 550,000, I could check in immediately, haha~

MMattyFThe room is small and a little boring but you’re paying for the location, and it’s comfortable and clean. There’s a good beer bar, Seoulista, on the ground floor. There’s is an aerial walkway connected, which goes to Seoul Station. You can also use the metro Exit 7 (I think) but it will charge you just for walking through if you are coming from the AirPort Express. The breakfast arrangements are quite eccentric, but I had a good breakfast.

GGuest UserThe room was comfy and there was bidet available. The location was strategic, near convenience store and you can easily find restaurant, good coffee shop, and also access to MRT. There was washing machine in the room and you can buy the detergent at GS25 at the lobby area. The minus point was the space on the service area is narrow and you have to bring your luggage downstair and believe me It was really hard to bring big luggage from downstair because the stair space was also narrow.
