Motel 6 Branford, CT - New Haven

Though this motel building is older, it still looks contemporary and the grounds looked well kept and well lighted. Check-in was quick and the staff person was friendly, pleasant and efficient. The overnight room rate was very competitive and reasonable. The room was recently updated in a contemporary style with new laminate flooring throughout, new furnishings and fixtures. The mattress was especially comfortable. Though the bedding seemed to lack a comforter or extra blanket available. One obvious deficiency was that only 2 pillows were provided. Making it difficult for us to sit up against the headboard to watch TV. The TV was a good size, and came with hundreds of regular channels and HBO. The room came with a microwave and refrigerator which was useful and thankfully the refrigerator was quiet when the compressor was on. The bathroom sink faucet had a water flow restrictor on it which was disappointing, adding a lot of time to fill the sink bowl, or to wash your hands or face quickly. Overall, the motel and room were pleasant and a very good value for the cost. But the one significant thing that prevented us from giving this motel 5 stars was the smell throughout the building hallways and room. It is difficult to describe. It didn’t smell like cleaning products or fragrances, but more like rotten food or garbage. It took some getting used to.

Budget friendly motel. if you are looking for luxury this is not your spot, however if you are looking for a nice comfortable place to lay your head you found the right place. Fernando was very helpful and made the check-in process effortless .beds are comfortable.

The only good thing about this place was the staff. The place needs an upgrade real bad. There are a bunch of people who just basically live there it's strange but it worked for what I needed which was sleep. Im only giving five start because Fernando was so pleasant and made sure I had extra linen and pillows, he was so nice.

My stay with Motel 6 was great, I came in late night with friends and was greeted by Fernando who assisted my friends and I with accommodations. We were a big group, we were hungry and he found us places to eat was very helpful. He made the check in process smooth and quick. The hotel room was small and can use some upgrades but it was clean and quiet.

I have to say whoever hired the young man in the front (Fernando)deserves a trophy. he is very helpful, respectful, funny, and overall just a pleasant person. was great that he was the first person I encountered after a horrible flight and even worse uber experience. the motel was clean and accommodating. i must say room size is a plus. i liked that this place is pet friendly .no complaints i would recommend this place for short stays

Great place to catch a good nights rest after being on the road for hours. Having a smoking room option was a plus. Water pressure in shower could be a little bettter aside from that no complaints at all. A+ to Fernando for his food recommendations...much appreciated.

HAVE STAYED HERE MANY TIMES. I HAD NOT BEEN BACK FOR A WHILE.THIS PLACE HAS IMPROVED A GREAT DEAL.MUCH CLEANER THAN I REMEMBER.FERNANDO AT THE FRONT DESK IS SUPER FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.VENDING MACHINES KINDA SUCK AND LACK OPTIONS THATS MY ONLY COMPLAINT. WILL DEFINETLEY BE STAYING HERE MORE

Best bang for your buck!!!Fernando at the front desk is excellent.rooms are comfortable.By far the best motel 6 i have ever stayed in.management here must be amazing.the place is room so well. Staff are great. Place is clean.pillows are perfect.and rooms are a good size

The motel location is ok. Place is clean and beds are comfortable which is a big plus for me. Fernando at the front desk is pleasant and extremely funny.all the staff we encountered during our were stay were friendly and helpful.i don't have any complaints about this property me and family will definitely stay again
