It's okay, the view is good and the location is remote

Super satisfied! The front desk was very friendly and polite. The room with two single beds was changed to a double bed room. The view was perfect and I didn't want to leave the window at all. The breakfast was rich and the Feldon-style bacon was delicious. Dinner was relatively not my type, but the service experience for two nights was also very good. Although I missed the official 2-night stay event, I was generally satisfied. I may come again on future anniversaries.

Would not recommend Feldon Valley. I booked as a birthday present for my partner. Unfortunately the pictures are not what the hotel looks like. I specifically asked for a room with a view and this was promised on booking. Safe to say this was not what I turned up to. We stayed in room 14, which had a slim window looking out to some old trees there was litter all over the forest floor and it was so unastetically pleasing. The staff were having their own personal private jokes on arrival, we had a note in our room informing us to go to reception to claim a free glass of Prosecco.. this wasn’t fulfilled. Feldon Valley supposedly have a lady called sally who does ‘spa treatments’ we never once heard or saw sally, and her “spa” is an old gypsy caravan. Heartbroken to have spent £195 on the room alone, I could camp in the new forest and have a better experience.

We can't recommend this hotel highly enough. From our check in with the lovely, friendly Tsepho and Jeanette, to the fantastic restaurant service, led by equally lovely and friendly Martina who showed an interest in the reason for our visit and helpfully recommended places to go, the staff were fantastic. We loved the peaceful environment and the views over the golf course from our suites, the restaurant and the terrace with fire pits which Tsepho willingly lit for us to enjoy our prosecco near. The food was delicious-lots of choice and beautifully cooked and presented. Breakfasts were a particular treat with plentiful fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries as well as the cooked options. We didn't need to eat at lunchtime!

Ok. Reviews. Let's get this out of the way. They do not have TVs in the rooms. I find this hard to believe that's a reason to give a lower rating. We stayed at an apparently 4 star prior to here and they had a TV in the room and they've refunded us our money because the stay/room/service/hotel was bad. (Not going to mention them). They didn't even quibble, they acknowledged it. So if this is a massive thing for you,  take a tablet or laptop. We all have them. There you go, done. So in summary, they do not have TVs but  have the most amazing walks, staff and surroundings. Lovely welcome in reception. The rooms were clean and bathrooms mastic mould free!!! Doesn't happen in many.  Beds were lovely and comfy, reception give you any extra coffees you want, there was no quibble. 24 hr bar if you wanted it for residents. In the main bar area, it overlooks the golf course, the restaurant also. The restaurant services approx 36 people ish (at a time) don't quote me, this is a guesstimate. The bar lounge also has 25 people to sit? Again, don't quote me, it's a guesstimate. (Make sure you book a table though) You can also just go for drinks and you don't have to eat if you don't want to. There are many places within the area if you wanted to eat out. (You have to drive or taxi for this though, not walking distance). The quality of food they serve is not a Wetherspoons menu. This is fresh and locally sourced and not cooked in bulk. If you're looking for piles of food on a plate for £10, probably not the place for you. The food was amazing and the best I've had for a while. The waiting staff were there in a blink of an eye if you wanted something. You are roughly 30 mins from visiting places of interest. But you could expand further, it's very easy to access places. The area is a stunning place, Feldon valley I would recommend and would definitely return to.

Lodges and surroundings are nice, but, there's always a but, the rooms have no Aircon or windows to open during the night. I found a fan in the wardrobe which helped, but in the summer air is needed! The bed very comfortable, the bathroom an accident waiting to happen - nothing in the bath to stop you slipping when showering as it's an over the bath shower. The complimentary bath robe would fit Barbie but not the average person. Restaurant ok.. breakfast - the bacon and sausage have obviously been pre-cooked and kept warm which is not nice and like chewing leather. Presentation is everything. Chef needs to up their game sorry to say.. The place is all geared up for golf and the 19th hole can get very busy at lunchtime. I didn't dine in the evening so can't comment. Staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Who ever cleaned my room did an excellent job!

A very comfortable retreat in the middle of the Cotswolds. Comfy king bed and pillows, modern en-suite bathroom large sliding doors and a veranda overlooking the golf course. Food is served in the golf club which is a 50yd walk away, there is also a bar in the lodge reception for 'after hours' sundowners. Food is of very high quality and hot breakfasts are cooked to order.

Before our visit even began, we experienced superb service from Jeanette on reception. She was thoughtful enough to email me to ensure the room was suitable for my elderly parents and offered options and support equipment prior to our arrival. A very nice touch. The hotel and surrounding area was quiet and restful. We booked 3 hotel rooms, all of which were spotlessly clean, smelling fresh and had everything we needed. Over the two nights we stayed, we met members of the housekeeping team, reception team, restaurant and bar staff and found everyone to be friendly, helpful and cheerful. Thanks to all for helping to make our family get-together a memorable one.

My wife and I stayed here with our 2 little dogs in a woods view lodge. We had a fantastic stay, everything was perfect from booking to check out. We stayed for 1 night. It is such a peaceful setting. All of the staff are amazing. The breakfast was delicious, top quality fodder and an amazing choice, something for everyone. We will definitely return here as there is so much beauty in this area. Only 20 minutes away from diddly squat farm and hawkstone brewery.
