What an amazing find! Clive and Kate were great hosts, nothing was too much trouble with great advice on places to visit during our stay! The breakfast was great, cooked by Clive who serenaded us with snippets of Bowie! We had the best relaxed stay! Will definitely return!

What a great location. Comfortable bed and good sized room and facilities. Delicious breakfasts cooked by Clive using their own produce. Hosts Clive and Kate were really great and caring. Wonderful suggestions on what to visit and see. Really nice to chat with them. PS thanks for the egg. ❤️

We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend others to stay at this wonderful cottage. Clive and Kate were superb hosts who went out of their way to help us feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. It is an ideal location for those considering visiting Bath as a bus stop is very close.

This is the second time I have stayed at Kate & Clive's cottage to enjoy their idyllic backwater little bit of heaven! As before, I was made to feel so so welcome, almost like home from home, but with the bonus of staying with oh so friendly helpful and accommodating hosts in a lovely quiet and peaceful rural setting!! The cottage stands in beautiful grounds occupied by a multitude of wild fowl together with chickens, a very friendly swan (well to Clive anyway), a pair of rheas (a sort of ostrich) and several small groves of tall exotic banana plants!! Lovely bedroom with en-suite and a generous breakfast rounds off a lovely experience. Thanks again for making me and Sarah so welcome guys - we will be back and hopefully soon! xx

Clive & Kate at Meadowbrook Cottage are lovely hosts who gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived for our 3 night break. Our room was nice and comfortable with plenty of condiments that were refilled every morning. We had a brilliant view from our bedroom window of their well kept grounds and ducks, hens etc. Clive serves a hearty breakfast which kept us going throughout the day. Kate and Clive were very welcoming and we very much enjoyed our time at Meadowbrook. It was a very homely experience, we especially enjoyed seeing all the animals! Great location with easy bus link to Bath. We will definitely be back in the future.

I had a fantastic Easter 4 night stay at this delightful B&B. It is situated on the edge of the village of Box, in a beautiful, peaceful and quiet country location, and is part of a nice, well kept smallholding with lots of chickens, ducks and geese. My room had views over the smallholding and was clean and tidy, well furnished with a king bed, en-suite shower room and t.v. Clive and Kate are two of the friendliest, helpful people it has ever been my privilege to meet, and looked after me so well! Breakfast was great, with eggs collected from the bantams and Clive's homemade marmalade! All in all I had a great stay and would recommend Meadowbrook to everyone. Thank you Clive and Kate for such a lovely stay.

Fabulous little gem. Situated just off the main road but incredibly quiet. Hosts (Kate & Clive) could not have been more welcoming - as was Midge (the dog). Breakfasts were delicious (pick up some freshly laid eggs when you leave by the way). A really well situated location for so many places. We were advised Bath is not the easiest place to access via car - but literally three minutes walk to the main road - great bus service to Bath. Plenty of places to eat locally - but best to book just to be on the safe side. Delighted we found it - will definitely return.

Excellent break. Lovely hosts. Made to feel very welcome. Home from home. Amazing breakfast. Room warm and comfortable. Everything you needed plus more. Nothing to much trouble. Would definitely return. Perfect location. Thanks Clive and Kate for your amazing generosity. P.s. fresh farm eggs are a must.
