Bowness Bay Suites

A very comfortable clean and spacious suite with a balcony view to the lake. Everything was as described and the owners were helpful and attentive. We will definitely go back.

Is this a ****** hotel? Due to some schedule problems, I could not arrive at the hotel very early, but I drove as fast as possible on the way from Edinburgh. Most importantly, I called the hotel twice in advance, explaining that I would arrive at 11:30 to check in, and the hotel said that he would wait for my arrival. However, when I arrived at 11:30, the landlord came out and scolded us and told us that the reservation had been canceled, and his attitude was very, very bad. There were two middle-aged men in total, their expressions were very fierce, and they treated us with a very bad attitude after the trip. As a young girl, it was difficult not to be afraid when facing such a scene in a foreign country. As the hotel did not inform us of the cancellation in advance, and only on short notice after we arrived, where the humanitarian was, it was hard not to suspect that they were ****** towards us. The last-minute cancellation left me with nowhere to go for a night in Windermere, and I really don't recommend booking this hotel unless you want a scary, ****** experience on your trip.

My wife and I booked a last minute trip away over the weekend 2-3 November. We've stayed at a number of hotels and B&B's over the years, in a leisure and business capacity so can be quite choosy. After some due diligence we decided to give Bowness Bay Suites a try. To say we were not disappointed is an understatement! This place is fantastic, the room was spotless, spacious and extremely comfortable. We stayed in the Hilltop Suite - one of 6 in the building and I suspect every one will be of the highest quality. What made the stay extra special was the customer service. Our host Howie met us outside and helped my wife inside with the suitcase as I went to park. (They also offer a great deal for car parking) He is such a lovely guy and you can instantly tell he takes great pride in putting the customer first. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and wants nothing more than for you to enjoy your stay. We would not hesitate to book here again if/when we ever get chance to have another free weekend away from work/grandparent duties :-) Great place, great location, great hosts!

Perfection!! The room was immaculate and had everything you could need, the attention to detail was amazing. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bowness Bay Suites. Howie and Martin were the perfect hosts and the bonus of £5 parking permit Just added to an amazing stay.

We can't fault Bowness Bay Suites at all. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. The amenities were great and so many thoughtful touches were included. The room was cleaned daily and towels, tea,coffee ect replenished every day. The view of the lake was beautiful. The location perfect, within easy access of everything. The discounted parking pass was a bonus. We had no trouble finding a space within a 5 minute walk. We were also able to use it at many other carparks nearby. Our host was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will definitely stay there next time we visit the lakes.

The room was extremely clean very well kept, the hosts got us a beautiful bottle wine for are arrival as requested and chilled in the room ,nothing was to much trouble for them will definitely be returning soon .lovely view from the suite over the lake Keep up the great work xx
