The best customer service I’ve had for a long time. Staff were so nice and friendly. The night and evening reception staff were great and the young man in the restaurant serving the breakfasts “Abhisher” was a credit and so good with all the customers. I really enjoyed my stay

Great position. We have been here a few times but this was the first time since it lost the car park round the back and had the upgraded rooms. It wasn’t a problem to leave the car in the central car park, just £6:10 for 24hrs. The first room. 500 was right next to the lift shaft and although it had a balcony there was no view. The noise would have been intrusive do we asked to be changed which Gassel on the front desk delt with promptly. 403 much better room. The upgrade is good, very large room, bathroom still tiny. The mattress had seen better days and was creaky and the air conditioning didn’t work. As you can’t open a window this made for a stuffy night. Not too bad for one night but no longer.

This is the usual hotel that we stay when visiting family. In the past it has been lovely. Standards seem to have slipped. Our room wasn’t ready on arrival after a long journey from the north east. Lift not working (apparently been broken for months) We had to use a tiny inadequate lift to get to the 6 th floor with a young child. Long wait for the lift. Some Staff didn’t seem interested in helping and seemed to be thin on the ground. Room was clean and decent. Breakfast was good but cold. We will give it another go when visiting before we will reluctantly try elsewhere.

Don’t stay in room 500 which is a premier inn plus room. The Only working Lifts shaft is behind a wall in the room and you can hear it opening closing and going up and down etc all night. Bed was hard and pillows not great and the room should have been supplied with coffee pods and water, which it did not have. Certainly not a great night sleep! The main benefit of the hotel is its location, but that’s it.

The internet reception was ridiculously poor (to the point that there was none at all), there was a severe lack of staff and the staff that were there were very inexperienced and very unhelpful. The food was pretty good, but other than that, a bad experience.

Stayed here for 2 nights for my graduation with my family and had a great stay. Tom was on reception when we checked in and really improved our experience. Thank you Tom for the upgrades and making our time here even more special, we really appreciate it!

We have stayed here on a regular basis to visit family. Our last stay was awful but we had already booked and paid for this stay. Staff on reception were great. This time our rooms were clean. There was a horrible smell like sewage in the reception area for the duration of our stay. The main lift was broken and the smaller lift temperamental. We have been staying here for at least ten years but sadly it now feels very neglected which is a shame as it used to be lovely. I hope premier inn decide to spend some money on it and bring it back to life.

No staff, the room was in a very bad decorative order. Paint peeling from the walls and the flies and dust The lifts were not working and all in all the place was scary and depressing for a lady travelling on business on her own. Room 316. Disappointed and oh yes it was freezing as the AC broken.

This hotel has improved somewhat on its previous rather dowdy condition. It was very clean and the breakfast was good. The bed was also extremely comfortable. However they had one small lift working, the integral heating system in our room, and that of our friend had failed completely, so we were given oil filled radiatirs instead, which were effective. Finally if a check in time is specified in the published information it should mean that rooms are available then. Ours wasn't;we had to wait a further 40 minutes.
