DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston - Downtown

I stayed at the Double Tree Downtown Hotel in Boston for six nights. The location is very convenient, very close to Chinatown and the subway. You can go to Common Park and many attractions. The service attitude is very good. When I arrived at the front desk at 11pm, I was provided with water and welcome cookies (very delicious). Because I am a gold card member, I was given a daily breakfast of $18 per person, which was basically enough. The weekend limited menu lobster benedict is delicious, I recommend it. There is also a Starbucks downstairs, which is very convenient. The disadvantage is that the room rate in Boston is too expensive, and the facilities in the store are also relatively old

This Hilton hotel is a bit too outrageous. I booked a room from 9.4 to 9.6, the room fee was 3516, and I had already charged my credit card in China before I went there. After I arrived at the hotel, a black receptionist asked me for my card, thinking it was for a deposit. And strangely, he also asked for my phone number in China. Just the day before yesterday, I had been back from the United States for about a month and a half, and suddenly received a pre-authorized deduction of 611.01 US dollars, which is 4300 RMB. I was very surprised, and hurriedly called the bank to ask the merchant who received the payment. The bank customer service told me that it was Double Tree... So I asked the bank to see if I could recover it and help me get a new card, and at the same time I sent an email to the hotel to ask what was going on. As a result, after sending emails for a few days, the other party did not give me any useful information, even what the pre-authorization fee was, they just didn't say. Instead, they asked me for a lot of information. The email that was just replied to me today said "Prepayment is not accepted, so the deduction is based on the reserved customer credit card information." What does this mean? But the amount deducted is not right... Although I am not sure whether it was a fraudulent purchase, I would like to remind friends who are about to check in, remember not to provide credit card information if you can, or if you have already provided it, be sure to lock the card after returning to China!

The hotel is under renovation, even the room number is written on a small piece of paper and posted next to the door. The room rate is not high, the window is not easy to open, and the room is old. When checking in, each person was given a cookie, and bottled water was only given after asking the front desk, 2 bottles per person.

The location is good, the supporting facilities are complete, and parking is convenient. Although it is a little expensive, the only drawback is that the windows in my room are half blocked and half covered with film, which is almost equivalent to fake windows. I hope that they can improve and explain it clearly in advance in the future.
