We stayed at this hotel over the HOC weekend and from the minute we arrived until we left a few days later, the staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful when we needed advice or extra roll-up bed etc. Rooms were clean and spacious with beautiful eclectic art work thru the hotel and rooms. Thank you for a great stay to Sean and all the great staff at Studio Allston

The good: • Location • Server in the breakfast bar was friendly and attentive • Front desk staff was polite and friendly; offered me an umbrella during the rain The bad: • Room Condition: o Toilet seat – there was a urine stain about the size of a dime on the seat, which I had to clean and sanitize upon arrival o Rug was filthy – when I walked barefoot, dust, lint and random particles stuck to my feet. I had to frequently rinse my feet in the shower to get all the grime off o Thin walls/ceilings – I could hear the guest in room 322 snoring like a bear each and every night. And on Weds night, the room above me (420?) sounded like a heard of elephants o Lights – I could not locate a switch to turn on the wall sconces adjacent the bed o Shampoo/Soap dispenser – the screw was unscrewed so the assembly kept falling apart when I used the shampoo & conditioner o Bar – closed; business travelers look forward to a drink at the end of the day and an opportunity to socialize w/ other guests • Front desk staff did not greet me as a Bonvoy Platinum member nor offer a choice of hotel credit or points. I will not recommend this AC Marriott to my colleagues until these issues were addressed.

The room is suitable for a large family because it is a suite, equivalent to two bedrooms.
The only inconvenience is that it's a bit far from the subway station, but it's not far from Harvard and MIT, which is quite convenient. There is a Whole Food supermarket nearby where you can buy some things. There was too little food at the buffet, but Starbucks gave me a pot of coffee, which was great

Near the medical center, ambulance traffic may be noisy at night, there is a certain distance to the subway station, and it is slightly inconvenient to take public transportation. However, the environment of the hotel is very good, clean and tidy, and the facilities are newer. Overall, the price is high.

Great location and very secure building. Apartment was spacious for us 4 ladies. The check in process was a breeze, especially with luggage drop off. The only thing we had an issue with was that there was 1 washcloth in the entire apartment. Also the sheets in one of the rooms were very scratchy and rough-almost as if they were new. Just some things to consider for the crew. Would still absolutely recommend this rental!
Our newly renovated all-suite hotel is conveniently located steps away from Fenway Park and is the closest extended-stay hotel to Boston University, Northeastern University, Colleges of the Fenway and the Longwood Medical Center. Enjoy our Boston hotel deals paired with stunning views overlooking Fenway Park from the only Rooftop Bar in the Fenway neighborhood, making for an ideal starting point before and after a Red Sox game. We are also close to the House of Blues and the all-new MGM Music Hall – both great venues for catching a show! Explore the city and enjoy some fabulous shopping and dining at the world-famous Newbury Street or at the Prudential and Copley Malls – both just a 20-minute walk away. Stop by the Time Out Market Place and explore dining options from the top chefs in Boston. Alternatively, you can take a bike ride along the Charles River and enjoy the views. Plus, at our hotel near Back Bay Boston, we also have a great indoor swimming pool that is always a big hit for the entire family!

The location is good, just a few blocks away from the East Campus of Boston University, and within acceptable walking distance to MIT. It is also convenient to take the subway to MFA and the city center. It's nice to have a small kitchen to cook your own food. It should be noted that the house prices will be higher when there are games at the stadium, so be careful to avoid them.
The Red Sox Fenway Park is right across the street from this hotel in Bostons Back Bay neighborhood

I arrived at the hotel in the morning. I planned to store my luggage and check in in the afternoon. Unexpectedly, Ms. Carley at the front desk directly helped me check in. Carley is beautiful and enthusiastic, and the other front desk staff I met were also friendly and polite. The hotel's specialty is music, there is a record player in the room, and the bar is very lively at night. There is an outdoor swimming pool and there are customers swimming🏊. There is breakfast, bread, eggs, milk, yogurt, coffee, fruits, etc. Ordered from Ctrip, the price is relatively favorable. The room was very clean.
Unscripted honest hospitality comes alive at the urban-luxe Hotel Commonwealth. The hotel offers 245 oversized guest rooms and suites with effortless access to all that Boston has to offer. Fenway Park is just steps from the hotel entrance with Boston University across the street. You will find this the ideal locale for business or pleasure just minutes from anywhere you need to be in the city.

The room is very clean and tidy, with complete toiletries, but you need to bring your own personal toothbrushes and slippers. The room is very quiet. The front desk, door, and room service staff are very polite. They will proactively provide bottled water and snacks when checking in. There is coffee and tea on the first floor every morning. Booking through Ctrip is very convenient.

GGuest UserAlthough I stayed at this hotel for only 12 hours, the room was quite spacious and confortable and equipped with everything I needed to stay for one night. As I needed to leave the hotel at 5am and could not have breakfast as it started being supplied from 6am. However, staying at this hotel was still worth the price.
EElgin Hero HidalgoThe location is good - accessible to metro, shops and landmarks. The room is small for the price, and the breakfast is a joke - you get either some small sandwich or a plate of toast. On one day, they espresso machine was broken, so I had to take the generic coffee that's very watery. The reception staff was not friendly, just transactional. Same with the breakfast server on that day. My room has a so-so view of the city, it's facing the main street, and the rooms have poor soundproofing - I could hear the partying and the cars from the street and I am on the 10th floor. Moreso, I could hear a couple fighting the whole afternoon in the next room (that's why they have earplugs offered in the room because they know the problem). It's style-over-substance hotel, i.e. the aesthetics has a cool style but the practicality is very IKEA: foldable room desk and chair, hooks on wall instead of cabinets and hangers. For the price I paid, it's not value for money. It's a glamorized hostel for the price of a decent Marriott hotel room. Overall, I would look elsewhere the next time I'm back in Boston.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a very good location, connected to the shopping mall, making it convenient for shopping. Downstairs is the Public Library. There is no buffet breakfast in the hotel. If you want to eat, you need to order a la carte. The Destination Fee of $30 per day can be used for breakfast. It is not enough for two people.
WWallllllyWatch out where you staying !
We’ve been using intercontinental hotel very well for couple years
We live 5 hrs aways from the boston city
Every time when we spend some time in the city we always book intercontinental hotel cause this hotel service, cleanness everything was so perfect. It worth, we loved it But lately we are very disappointed of services.last night we stayed was worst experience ever had at intercontinental hotel
We stayed a night
First. There is No robes. I tried to call lobby so many times! no answer . ( I had exactly same problem couple days ago when we stayed at your hotel. I had to go downstairs to ask for robe)
Second. No answer lobby phone as I mentioned at first we’ve tried to call lobby so many time for services. ( Cart, water, etc) but NO answer
Every time when I need I had to go Downstairs..
(Until last year? You guys were so good! since this year summer! I believe that you guys were NO answer AT ALL)
Third. This is major !! We had a flight next morning so we booked your hotel as usual but we got connection room that I didn’t know even when we are check in there is nothing mentioned
We were about to fall asleep around 12am and we hearing some grrrrrrr grrrrrrrr I thought A/C had something problems and we realized we HEARING someone’s snoring our next door!!!!
And we couldn’t sleep at all stayed all night to go the airport next morning ….
I got so mad… we paid for a night $550 at 5stars hotel and no sleep …no comfort there is no difference $80 inn out there..
So i claimed it next day when I checked out
There is one lady who helped me checked out she told me she cant do anything with it but she will give me Email address of manager so i can claim through them
But Email also Wrong !
What a WORST experience ever
Years of good experiences have all crumbled this year.
Anyways watch out where are you staying the room
HHeatherLocation of the hotel couldn’t be beat! It was within walking distance to almost every highlight of Boston. Typically we pick a place to stay with free breakfast but there weren’t many to choose from for the location we wanted. Our room didn’t have a view but that’s to be expected in a downtown area. Also would’ve been nice to have a hot tub or something to sit in at the end of the night.
Only random complaint I have was actually the size of the bathroom. This might be a weird thing to complain about but I think because the bathroom was so large and didn’t seem to be heated well and when I did try to take a bath (yes I bathe in hotel bathtubs) it got cold very quickly.
I was disappointed they don’t have all ADA accommodations. The captioning didn’t work for half of the television shows, there were no flashing lights or doorbell for my husband who is deaf. I understand the building is old but it seemed like some of those things probably could be added.
We didn’t interact with the staff much. We kept our privacy door hanger at the whole time so I can’t anything about housekeeping except the room was clean when we arrived. Overall the stay was good for the cost. And we would definitely pick this hotel again simply for the location.
CCollie WifeI’ve been attending an event at this location for the last 3 years and this was by far the worst one yet. The rooms are SMALL… a suite is the size of an average hotel room. The queens were hardly enough for a couple. Their run rooms are literal closets. It is very clean, staff was great about replenishing towels and providing extra within a reasonable time. However, I was a little taken back when management refused to accommodate the event and often shoved us out of the way to prioritize 2-3 pilots coming in from the local airport. We are a 2,500+ person event and staff seemed to go out of their way to make things extra difficult. Elevator lines were ridiculous and when we tried to use the stairs, one of the managers lied and said they didn’t have any. Luckily we found them ourselves and just proceeded to use them as necessary. I was taken back by the bell hops who literally shoved their hand in your face demanding money before you could even take your bags off the cart… certainly made me not want to tip them at all especially after watching them man handle our luggage and throw it around. When it was time to leave, one member openly groaned in annoyance when we had requested our bags be taken to valet. Nobody wanted to do their job without extra money being tossed at them. Finally we got our luggage to valet and before I could even get my wallet out one member scoffed in disgust and tossed the cart at us… certainly not going to tip after that tantrum. 3 years ago this was my favorite location but you can actively see the decline in service and respect toward patrons. The location is ok at best. It’s in walking distance to great restaurants and such, however it’s impossible to park and unload on the main busy street. I’m glad we have a new hotel for next year…
AAnonymous UserIt's connected to the mall, so can do everything without going outside. The facilities are a bit old, but room is spacious and the windows don't open. I highly praise Mr. Augustin(?) at the front desk. I'll never forget him kindly finding me a beer opener.
I will definitely go again because of him:)
MMatthew PapinoThe hotel room's thermostat was set at 68 degrees F when we entered but we found it to be quite warm, so we turned the thermostat down to 65 degrees, then further to 62 degrees because the room was still quite stifling. Around 2:00 a.m., uncomfortable and sweating while trying to sleep, we called the front desk and told them that we had lowered the thermostat to 60 degrees F but that the heat was just as warm as when we first entered the room (there was no way to measure it but I'm guessing it was close to 80 degrees). The front desk told us that the thermostat only controls the heat; that is, lowering the temperature will not actually cool the room or turn the heat off. They told us that the only way to stop the heat was to turn it OFF. We were also advised to open a window, which we did; but the noise from the city outside did not help us get a good night's sleep at all, and the room took a while to cool down enough to be able to sleep comfortably. This one issue---the extremely warm and uncomfortable room---is enough to make us not return to this hotel in the future.
AAJ PaulineThe hotel was clean and self service- just wish there were more options for room service/ vending machines, we ran out of water and had to run to Trader Joe’s across the street to buy bottles of water.
GGuest UserI am a Marriott Ambassador level member and have stayed at the Liberty several times. Took the family to spend labor day long weekend. While most others have dropped the ball and use Pandemic as excuse for reduced or even zero service, the Liberty remains tops on my list of Boston hotels. Service is flawless, food is amazing and this hip hotel gives you many reasons to stay in-house in the evenings. Fun lobby DJ, and great bars within hotel make it truly stand out. The front desk is amazing and did and incredible job with pre-stay communications. Special shout out to the one and only Mirko (chief concierge) who is super knowledgeable and singlehandedly makes the stays at the hotel, world class. You can't go wrong with this hotel
