3-Star Hotels in Boracay Island

My third time going to Boracay, my first time was in Fairways & Bluewater Resorts, however it was too far, 2nd time we stayed in Villa De Oro, and for my third time, we stayed here at La Carmela. Our stay here at La Carmela was a clutch decision but a truly memorable one. We celebrated New Year's Eve 2022 at La Carmela. We stayed there for 9 nights. But I must say, some employees are not that dedicated and passionate with what they do, except for the security personnel who were all very accommodating. I myself, I am a front office agent, I can't even feel the sincerity with the service they provide. I was actually expecting a lot from La Carmela since Mr. Boy Abunda has always been promoting this resort during all his shows, in addition to that, so many celebrities and even influencers have stayed in La Carmela and seemed to like their services. But, to my dismay, all my expectation weren't met, unfortunately. Food is average, our daily breakfast was always served ice cold, pool is massive and beautiful, location is priceless since it's near the beach and just near to everything else where. I just wished they can step up their services including personal services to their guests, most especially that there are already a lot of hotels booming as their competitors. I know La Carmela has been there for countless years already, so why not make their legacy a good one. Overall, our room was okay, we waited for so long for our MUR, plus the ac in my mother's room is not functioning well. Would love to consider this hotel once more as it is perfect for budget travelers like me. stayed for 9 nights with my partner, mother, and my sister, and we only paid PHP 25k for everything including their plated breakfast. I hope you consider all the points I have mentioned, See you soon, La Carmela. :)

The staff are very polite and helpful ! Although the hotel is a bit old and you can hear people speaking in the room, the hotel swimming pool is great at the 7/F. Location 100/100! Dear to D mall and along the main road of Boracay! If you are finding a bargaining hotel with average experience go to Lime Hotel!

Alta Vista is our go to place at Boracay! We’ve been to boracay 4x and we always love staying at Alta Vista!!! We tried staying at other hotels in between but Alta Vista outstands the hospitality of all the other hotels we’ve stayed in. The bed was so comfortable that it’s hard to get out! The aircon was so cold that it refreshes us whenever we came back from the beach. The room was always clean and tidy each and every visit! The jacuzzi pool was so relaxing after a long day from the beach! Kindly look for Rochel, Ike, Jhona, Joy as they are the warmiest people who’ll be there to assist you! For our shuttle service Herbert, Ray, Genesis and Acer are always on the go whenever we needed a ride! We thought we love Boracay but our heart goes to Alta Vista! We’re surely to come back soon! Good spacious room and spacious bathroom. Awesome location beach front located at station 3 plenty of food options, they offer buffet at 299 pesos mostly local crowd, walking distance to 7/11 and other convenient stores. Only thing is there is a loud music band at the hangover food festival on the left side of the hotel which plays music till midnight this wouldn’t be a problem if you enjoy music. 3rd floor on the left side of the hotel doesn’t have a good or pleasant view due to abandon side or side under construction. All rooms seems to have a balconies. Worth the money & awesome and friendly hotel staff

We stayed here with my family and my brother's family from March 29, 2003 to April 2, 2003. To tell you quite frankly - as the tile of this review goes - our stay was really a pleasant surprise as after booking, I read up on reviews which were really not that good which made me think if we had made the right decision in booking accommodations from this hotel. Our experience was quite the opposite: the road to the hotel from the jetty port (which according to a review I read was muddy) but no longer was when we went there. The hotel itself, when we arrived, as far as I am concerned looked great and was well maintained. The front desk staff were quite accommodating and cheerful and ably assisted us in our checking in to our rooms. We booked 3 rooms and checking in was a breeze. The hotel staff service was excellent. The rooms that we checked in to were great but it would have been better if it had a view but this is just my preference and does not in any way diminish our experience. The restaurant in the hotel was oftentimes good but can leave you wanting for more. This is a beach front hotel but there was a only a short stretch of sand when we stayed there. We were a bit let down I suppose but this was cleared when one of the locals clarified that it was high tide season during this time was being washed away to sea. To see a wide stretch of sand, the best time to here would be around September, but if the lack of a decent beachfront is no issue to you then anytime except the rainy season would be a good time to visit and you can easily reach Station 1 via a 5-10 minute walk. Since this hotel is on the western side of of the island, I can guarantee that you would experience sunsets like no other. If you prefer the peace and quiet of a homey ambience, nestled in a small nook at the far end of the western side of the island, then this hotel is perfect for you - alone or with your family and friends.

We were given a free upgrade from Shore time hotel annex station 2 to shore time hotel station 1 because the twin room is no longer available in the annex branch. We were transfered to Station 1 Shore Time Hotel the same day we arrived. The room is big. The airconditioner worked well. WIFI is not consistent. Hot shower was not working. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Free use of beach towels. I love the welcome drinks. For the price, it was perfect. It was located near restaurants. Will stay here again next time! Highly recommended!

We had a nice stay at Rob and Fred's Resort in Boracay! It's especially convenient that the hotel offers a kitchen where you can cook your own meals, helping you save money compared to eating out. The charge of 100 pesos per kilo seems reasonable, and the operating hours of the kitchen from 10 am to 8 pm provide ample time for guests to prepare their meals. Additionally, the provision of a free water dispenser is a great amenity that allows you to fill up your own bottles instead of buying water every day. This not only saves you money but also helps reduce plastic waste. It's always good to see hotels taking steps towards sustainability. It's wonderful to hear that the staff at the hotel were accommodating and made your stay magnificent. Their hospitality certainly adds to the overall experience.

The room we got was room for 2 and all the essentials were provided. There was a free breakfast included which is a plus. It:s just sad that we didn't have the time to explore the island as much because there was a low pressure area that time so mostly we stayed at the hotel. That time, the wifi wasn't working and TV channel only shows Chinese channels and no local channel. I don't know, maybe it's because of the weather. But I would still recommend the place. It's located at D Mall and few minutes away from the beach.

The hotel itself left quite a pleasant impression. I had a room on the 4th floor (there is no elevator, you need to climb the stairs, but this is not a problem for me, besides, the receptionist helped me lift my suitcase). The room is cozy, bed linen, mattress and towels of good quality, clean. The room has a mini-fridge and a jug of clean water (watch out for ants, they can crawl there and in general they are present in the room). The bathroom is large enough, there are bathroom accessories, there was always hot water. Good stable wi-fi. The view from the balcony is quite nice, but the balcony itself is small in size and I had one side facing the construction site (the next building is a hotel being built). Sometimes there was a lot of noise coming from there. Also, strange insects sometimes appeared on the pillows (not ants, a bit like caterpillars with legs), so carefully inspect your pillows. I saw them in one night. The location is 2-3 minutes from White beach, the path goes deeper and not all tiles are even, but this did not cause me any problems. Breakfast is acceptable, you can choose from several types of breakfasts - continental, Filipino, Asian, they can also combine different dishes. There is also a laundry service (for a fee) - things were in perfect condition in 2 hours. Beach towels are provided, which can be changed every day after the beach. Very nice and friendly staff, always ready to help with all questions, for this special thanks!

The Tides Hotel Boracay (room 324) +Location. In the middle of 'D Mall' with many stores, supermarket and restaurants around. 100m walk to the beach. +Friendly and helpful staff. +Swimming pool, bar, restaurant, toilet and shower on top floor (3rd floor). +1 bath towel per person can be changed once per day. +Air condition (little noisy), Refrigerator, TV, good wi-fi. +Check in time is 14:00 (not 12:00 as in the booking confirmation), but we could get bath towels and stay at the swimming pool before we got the room. +Live music at night on top floor. +Can wash the feets at the entrance from all sand from the beach. +Water machine in the hall for drinking, also boiling water. -No elevators. -No breakfast buffet, order from a menu, not much to choose from, see my picture of the menu. -The shower head was loosed, and didn't stay in place on the holder. +/- Toilet and bathroom is separated, also the basin is outside the toilet/bathroom. Didn't try their barbeque buffet, kinda smokey from the barbeque when sitting by the bar. When room is booked, there is no refund or cancellation available. Didn't check the gym, I think it cost as there was on a post (see my picture), maybe free for us who stays there. Transfer from airport cost 1800 php per person if booked from hotel, but we used MyBoracayGuide instead. Remember you must book a place to stay to be able to take the boat to the island.
