I thought this place was fantastic on so many levels. Our room was super clean, light, and airy. It was a bit out of the loop of central Bologna but had some really nice local restaurants which were locally orientated. The magic ingredient, however, was Angela, one of the owners. What she lacked in spoken English, she made up for in her wish to communicate, and nothing was too much trouble. We met up with some friends at the Villa, and spontaneously, she hosted a little party complete with parmesan salami and prosecco. Angela - we just love love you xxxx

Our stay at Villa Savioli Room & Breakfast was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the owner, setting the tone for a truly personalized experience. The intimate size of this independent hotel allowed for a level of attention and care that is often missing in larger establishments. The villa itself is a visual delight, with traditional decor that exudes charm and elegance. Our room was immaculate, featuring a comfortable bed that ensured restful nights. We especially enjoyed the delightful breakfasts served on the terrace, where we could soak up the morning sun and savour delicious local flavors. Parking was a breeze, with secure on-site options within the gated property. The owner's exceptional hospitality shone through in every interaction, from providing us with a helpful map of the area to encouraging us to explore the charming streets of Bologna under the iconic arches. Villa Savioli Room & Breakfast provided the perfect blend of comfort, warmth, and convenience, making our visit to Bologna truly unforgettable. We wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem to fellow travellers seeking an authentic and personalized experience in this vibrant city.

always a pleasure...it's like being at home. Very convenient especially for going to the hospital, but also very close to the centre. Quiet and family atmosphere. We have no doubt that we will return again. Absolutely recommended!

We booked this villa because it has secure parking and is an easy walk to the center of Bologna. We were greated by a nice young man , he spoke very good english. We had picked the best room with bath en suite, very nice. We had a good breakfast on the terrace.

After booking, we found out that you apparently have to play €20 to check in after 8pm. Bit weird. The host messaged us repeatedly to ask when we were arriving. This would be understandable if it were an airbnb but it’s supposed to be a hotel. When we arrived, we found that the room was separate from the bathroom. Not a major issue, but the two rooms were separated by the main reception area of the hotel, so if you went to the toilet, anyone in the reception / having breakfast etc could hear you / see you walking to your room. My fiancée was literally shouted at by one of the people who worked here for using the fridge (which another member of staff told us to use) and for not wearing a mask in the 2m walk between our room and the ‘private bathroom’. The whole place stinks of cigarettes, which is very odd in 2022.

My husband and I stayed for one night in this beautiful villa, with a little something to improve. LOCATION: The villa is in a nice area, 20 minutes walk from the center. The decor of the house was pleasant, in a classic style. Too bad that in the corridor (and I repeat only in the corridor!) there was a smell of smoke. Free parking although there are paid parking spaces outside the villa. SERVICE: The person who greeted us was very friendly. He checked us in, showed us the room which I hadn't noticed when booking that the bathroom was private but not in the room. It was necessary to cross the corridor...No problem, but opening and closing the doors created a bit of annoying noise (for other users) ROOM: Spacious, clean, with two single beds pushed together (you could see it from the headboard fixed to the wall ). Plasma TV, table with kettle, cups and infusions, two bottles of water. Cupboard. I think the safe was missing. Excellent sleep quality as the room overlooked the internal courtyard. The BATHROOM: Even though the bathroom was separate, it was still new, beautiful, well furnished and with a glass ceiling that allowed you to admire the ceiling (the owner told us that it was a solution due to the superintendence of fine arts). Wall phone, very well-stocked toiletry bag. Soft towels BREAKFAST: Breakfast is served in a room with three tables, an area for hot drinks and cupboards with cakes, croissants, juices, fruit. Quite varied, although predominantly sweet. You could ask the lady for both hot drinks and savory products. VALUE FOR MONEY: For us it was a deal, despite my mistake about the room without a bathroom. OVERALL OPINION: Recommended, even if I couldn't really quantify the distance from the center on foot

This b&b is about a 20 minute walk to central Bologna so if you don’t mind that, it’s a nice place to stay. One of the two staff members we encountered spoke excellent English and she was there when we checked-in and at our first breakfast but we never saw her again. Her colleague who was there at other times including breakfast doesn’t really speak English but we managed to communicate with her with the help of a translation app. Both women are very friendly. The room was comfortable except for the somewhat dirty floor which wasn’t ideal. Our real issue is that someone there, maybe a guest, was a chain smoker and our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke at all times in the day and night. We kept the windows open to try and mitigate this but it didn’t really help too much.
