I only wish I could've stayed longer. It's a beautifully renovated manor house where the atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed. It doesn't feel like a hotel, but rather as if you're staying at a friend's house. The gardens are perfect for having a sit down and contemplating the view –trees and fields as far as the eye can see– or going for a walk. The staff was phenomenal as they are always available and super friendly but let you relax and enjoy some moments of peace on your own. I got the best sleep in probably years since the beds are comfy and there's nothing to disturb the silence at night. Stargazing is also a must as the sky was crystal clear. I got room 15 which faced South towards the valley and had a great view of the sunrise. The room size felt generous and the bathroom even had a nice view of the manicured gardens. The area around the hotel is good for long walks or runs and I would recommend checking out the 'Rego dos Muiños' route.
