Excellent hotel with a wonderful location - on the Loboc River. Near the hotel there is a pier, from which in the evening we went to watch fireflies. The room was on the 2nd floor with panoramic windows and a view of the garden.

Bohol is still too commercialized. The Firefly Hotel is far away from Panglao. The environment is very good and the service is very friendly. The food inside is delicious. I heard that the fireflies are beautiful, but I didn’t see them.

We spent 4 nights in this wonderful ecological and exotic establishment. The staff is lovely, the food is very good for attractive prices. We also booked the night paddle to go and watch the fireflies, it was a great experience!

We went to eat at the restaurant. We were not staying there. What happens when a restaurant gives you a warm beer? You say it, they apologize (even if they don't agree) and they change it for you, right? Well, here they told me that since I had already drunk, I couldn't return the beer nor could they change it for another one. At most they would offer me ice (ice for beer!!!!) So nothing. After paying 1000 pesos for the meal, they make me pay the 100 for the beer that I didn't drink. That says a lot and makes it stand out as good service or not. Because it doesn't mean anything to them, and they leave a customer happy. Even though the food was delicious, I didn't enjoy it because of that mishap. You have to know how to treat your customer.

Beautiful ecolodges with a good restaurant, but it has to suit you….. the rooms with outdoor shower and toilet look nice from the outside and are quite fine inside. Big disadvantage: due to the lack of air conditioning everything is clammy and humid; sheets, towels and also your clothes cannot escape it. The fan provides some relief, but we felt sticky almost continuously. You can only cool down in the river. Because of the open sewers that we saw there, in our eyes not very attractive. Sleeping between the clammy sheets was not really relaxing. The activities on the river and the mountain biking are fun, especially the fireflies! The village has nothing to offer. The island was a bit disappointing. The chocolate hills are beautiful, but in fact this is limited to a single viewpoint… visit the weaving mills!
