Paseo Del Mar Seaside Inn

If you have to spend a night in Jagna (if the ferry to Camiguin is cancelled for example) then this place is a Very nice option. The buildings are a bit old so don't expect a super modern facility but the rooms are clean and spacious. The garden is nice and the staff friendly. You can also have breakfast if you want to. If you are no a pet person than this is definitely not a place for you. They have a lot of cats and dogs here. Don't worry they're super friendly. If you are into diving they offer this service.
Island Tiki Paradise Resort

This place has become somewhat of a regular hangout for me. Really good value food (both local & European), cold drinks, super friendly staff and Robert the owner is always out to please. They have 6 or 7 screens with Cignal satellite TV, plus the ability to live stream numerous channels on multiple screens. Robert or Nina are always happy to find your favourite sport, from the Aussie Supercars to US Super Bowl. There is also a billiard table & swimming pool for paying guests to utilise. I haven’t stayed in the accomodation and while not 5 star I know they are clean & comfortable.
Bluewater Panglao Resort

Great service and amenities! They always make sure they attend to the needs of their guests. The only cons is the beach that is not swimmable. I hope that the beach will be rehabilitated because we will definitely go back to Bluewater if given a chance. Cheers!
Golden Palm Resort

The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. They arranged a tricycle driver to take us on the countryside tour. We also appreciated the breakfast staff preparing a takeaway version, bacon and scrambled egg sandwiches, when we had a very early morning start for the island hopping tour. One slight issue we found on entering our room for the first time was there were no towels and a unclean sink but this was not a major and quickly addressed when we pointed it out. The landscape and gardens were immaculate and serene. It was interesting to see a collection of bonsai trees there, which I assume are a passion of the owner and there was also a display of shells in the waiting area to look at. There is a nice and deep pool just out front of the accomodation building. This is aside from the main pool area, which appeared very nice but we didn’t get around to using. There is a bit of a walk to get to the main beach area with no short cut through that I’m aware of. The positive side is that it feels detached from the throng. The driveway which is shared with other nearby hotels is in quite a bad state, I’m not sure why no-one is fixing that up, perhaps everyone considers it to be someone else’s responsibility. All in all it’s a beautiful and serene resort with great staff for a very reasonable price and I would absolutely recommend it to someone looking for accommodation near Alona Beach.

Bohol Tropics Resort

very poor experience during our stay - wish we booked with another hotel, but had no choice as other hotels were fully-booked very poorly maintained facilities in the room terrible smelling toilets toilet bowl not flushing well rusty/dirty shower heads / bidets / pipes rooms full of flying insects stained curtains airconditioning too noisy breakfast very ordinary and very limited choices staff were generally polite, but didn't really fix the issues we raised for the room we booked I would definitely not book there again. my whole family, kids included, share the same sentiments. feels awful to give this review, but it has to be said so management does something to improve its facilities and also avoid Bohol getting a bad rap from an utterly poor experience at Bohol Tropics
