The hotel is very comfortable, but it has a swimming pool which is a bigger plus and the rooms are in fact small apartments with kitchenettes living and very pleasant room. The big negative point of our stay is that unfortunately we had booked a typical cabin in the region (which is in front of the apartments and seems to be new). In contrast to the other hotels where we had been and where we had stayed in the same type of place, this cabin was poorly placed, just at the entrance of the residence 200 metres from the road. The first night was a succession of cars that passed, music strong up to 3-4h, dogs sticks etc. that have hardly prevented us from sleeping. What is not seen when it comes is that the cabin gives on a storage facility (see photos) and the day passing the heat brings up an unsupportable smell of dust, dirty food and piss. It was just impossible to stay in this housing. I've been talking about it to the manager who has ”gently” proposed to go to the rooms in front ...but that the next day.it had to re-support a night in noise and pestilential smell without much sleep. We finally changed our room to our great happiness, with the apartments beautiful and mostly isolated from noise and no smell. However, at the time of the surprise checkout we have to pay the difference in price between the two rooms, which has not been explained to us and most of all seems abuse because providing a noisy and that puts the waste is not at the normal base. However, as the responsible, who is saying by the way, has become angry and began to raise the tone when I wanted to talk with her, the smell is not their fault (which is surprising because when you make a cabin the minimum is of clean the waste before installing anything), noise nor (even one room can be insonic and if you cannot provide services at the height you do not have cabins) We were not sure that we were not going to sleep and the airport never removed the smells. It seems scandalous that a hotel manager provides such answers, not deny the problem but re-emphasizes the client's back. De plus, elle pousse le bouchon jusqu'à dire que le prix de la chambre ne couvre que l'électricité (ce qui est en soi une aberration comme justification) et que je ne pouvais pas du tout me plaindre. A hotel is not only infrastructure but also a suitable treatment of customers and their problems. Rent and let people sleep in this pestilent and no-sonic place is just disrespective of customers but also of the standards to which

Definitely not my favourite hotel - in fact I left after the first night of my 3 night booking & forfeited my payment for the remaining nights. BED... If you like sleeping on a FIRM bed similar to a timber floor, then the bed will suit you fine. If you prefer a more luxurious softer bed then book a different hotel. Even when Housekeeping put 2 comforters between the bed & the sheet, it was still HARD. BATHROOM Again very different to usual Filipino standards. On the bed were 2 face washers & 2 towels (about the size of typical western hand towels), plus in the bathroom was 2 ”Bath Towels” (narrow long flimsy open weave fabric) for exfoliating your body not drying it. Getting dry after the shower was definitely a challenge. BREAKFAST For a westerner, there was no cereal to start the day. The buffet containers for both the fried eggs & the back were empty, so I asked if they could be replenished. The hostess immediately went to the kitchen & promptly returned with a plate of fried eggs & another plate of bacon. I thought YIPPEE, I will have fresh hot breakfast, but I was sadly disappointed as both the eggs & the bacon were cold - obviously left on a bench in the kitens after being cooked sometime earlier. If you want butter to go with your sweet toast, you have to ask for it. Vegemite on sweet toast is a strange taste. Cappucino coffee is NOT included in breakfast. POWER OUTLETS If you have travelled to the Philippines you will know that their power outlets are two flat vertical pins. NOT HERE, they are the Korean recessed circular pins which made charging my devices a challenge. Thankfully reception had Korean/Filipino adapters. POOL It was nice!

Henann Resort Alona Beach

We had a very pleasant stay at Henann Alona Beach. The hotel is big, and it was very busy during checkin, however they have so many pools that you don’t notice the amount of people. We had a great time in the poolbar at happy hour, and spent all our time at the resort! Restaurants could use a bit more healthy options and breakfast some more vegetarian (there wasn’t even a plain yoghurt or granola bar, and more unhealthy choices) options. If you go out of the resort you directly walk into a street full of bars and restaurants! Gym was very well equipped and rooms where good. Please improve the curtains, since they were not blacking out the room.
Bathala Resort

This resort opened only in December 2022 and is a sister resort of Amihan (directly connected). The French owner together with his attentive staff are doing a great job of starting a new property just minutes away from the main beach and restaurants located on the main street. Both Amihan and Bathala feature great outdoor spaces, lush greenery and very spacious rooms. The rooms have a very minimalist, modern design (but I would personally add art work or plants inside the room). In Bathala you can swim-up to the bar and select from many of cocktails offered. My only two recommendations for improvement would be the breakfast and providing electric mosquito killers. Breakfast selection is simple, with too few healthy options. Having more healthy options would be great. Regarding mosquitoes, unfortunately you have to be ready for plenty of them (or at least in the season we were travelling in). Electric mosquito killers in each room would make the sleep even more pleasant.

Cozy, quiet hotel) without a restaurant but 2 minutes away there is a trip top hotel and it has excellent cuisine and is relatively inexpensive. On the territory there is a wonderful swimming pool, parking, billiards and barbecue areas, which is nice)) we went to the local market (public market, tricycle drivers know) and a couple of times we had a barbecue party in the evenings)) as I understand, all the rooms have kitchens, but there are no normal knives and barbecue tongs (I bought everything at the market for pennies, I’ll leave it right there in room 19😀) it’s a long walk to the beach, about 15 minutes through annoying types with Pandora and excursions. There is a construction site right opposite the hotel, but in the back of the hotel where the rooms are, you can’t hear or see it. There are a lot of kamars, geckos don’t cope well with them, even though they scream for half the night😀 when you go to the Philippines you need to take a fumigator)) I haven’t seen them on sale here. The staff is friendly, helpful and chatty. There is a laundry service for 50 pesos per 1 kg of clothes. We visited all the sights by renting a car. You can ask the tricycle drivers, as I understand it, they rent out theirs, but we took some Toyota from Saferide for 1600 pesos (it’s just that there’s at least some kind of agreement there). Delivery to the hotel is 150 pesos. On the website the prices are more expensive than if you just come to them (the tricycle driver had to be shown where to go by turning on the navigator because the council of local drivers did not know where it was). We rented a car for two days, it was easy to drive, I didn’t find it particularly busy. You can visit all the sights in one day because they are all on the same road. On the second day (since this was our last island) we went to the local supermarket to buy hotels)) there the prices are cheaper and the range is such that you can walk for half a day) the hotel has transfer services, including to this supermarket.
