The most satisfying thing about the hotel is its safety. The street in front of the hotel leads directly to Bolivar Square, and there are street vendors across the street. There are no street vendors, no street performers, and no homeless people in the section in front of the hotel. There are police fences in front and behind the alley.
The hotel has a good breakfast, with hot water, and a good atmosphere in the courtyard with colonial imprints.
The only drawback is that the room facilities are a bit old. The decoration style is old-fashioned.
The room price is a bit expensive (stayed for 3 nights, one night cost more than 800 yuan).

Perfect for my first encounter with the historic and cultural capital of Colombia. Ancient architecture, hospitable staff, smiles all around, unique surroundings, centered in la Candelaria, concierge queen, generous breakfast buffet, best hot chocolate and the list goes on.

Gut gelegenes Hotel im Kolonialstil in Bogota. Das Personal zeichnet sich nicht gerade durch Herzlichkeit aus, ist aber auch nicht unhöflich. Das Zimmer eher klein und dunkel. Unseres hatte aber Balkon, was ganz schön war. Das Frühstück ist südamerikanisch - diverse frische Früchte waren das Beste. Das Brot und die Gebäcke das schlechteste. Kaffee gab es nur aus der Kanne und wir fanden den Frühstückbereich/Tische etwas schmudelig. Für ein paar Tage in Bogota aber eine gute Wahl.

Very well located hotel - art deco rooms are very spacious and mine had a lovely view over La Candelaria (Room 701). Spa area is relaxing and the treatments are good. Breakfast was average, the bar wasn’t open while I was there and the restaurant offer is limited (although there’s a lot of choice in the area).

Good sized updated rooms. We had 2 different rooms during our stay, the first the bed was very soft which isn't great for me. The second was much better. The bathroom is also large. The shower doesn't get hot, it got warm, but not warm enough for a comfortable shower for me. Bathroom was also quite grimy . I understand mold grows, but it definitely was something that could be cleaned better. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Some have limited English, but Google translate can help. The breakfast buffet is nice to have. Great fresh fruit options and they change up some of the food every day which is nice. No air conditioning in the room and the sun was beaming in the room all day, so it was quite warm (26`C, thermostat for heat only). The staff brought up a fan which helped significantly after we had opened the windows to allow the evening cool air in. We had a great view, but with the main square just a few blocks away it was insanely loud with the music from there in the evening, the room actually vibrated. The windows did an ok job of sound proofing but we needed them open for a while to cool off the room first. Noise did stop around 9pm. After that it was quiet. Overall a pleasant stay in a great location.
