The Stone House Hotel

We went 7th December for 1 night look OK on the pictures but god how we were wrong got there went to check in and the guy at reception was so drunk it was shocking he gave us our keys for our rooms and they were disgusting the rooms spelt of wee the sheets were stained and the quilts were stained the walls had dried blood on them looks like people had been fighting and the hotel didn't clean it don't no what u could catch we didn't even stay there for that night we check in to another hotel this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in I wouldn't let a dog stay in there and they shouldn't be allowing a drunk person on reception that's bang out of order and he was that bad he was sprawled put on the floor at the next hotel and didn't even no that we had left absolutely disgusting avoid like the plague

ANTS! Upon arrival the staff were hostile and rude following a misunderstanding with check in, they would be dismissive and even make sardonic comments while rolling their eyes. when we managed to get our keys the door was jammed shut, and three staff members had to kick/push the door down to which they then turned to us and said we weren’t pushing hard enough; they then started fixing the door while we unpacked. The shower door was broken, and leaked everywhere onto clothes and towels. The room was not cleaned as when looking for something we had lost we found socks, a plastic sword, a dummy and other items under and at the sides of the bed. there was ants everywhere! in the beds, on the doors, and over the carpets we would find them wandering around everywhere so much we suspected a nest to be somewhere in the hotel. We decided to check out early.

Acceptable for price and location The property is in an excellent location, the room may need a little TLC, but for the price you pay it’s understandable and acceptable. Located just a few minutes walk from the sea front, in the Golden mile, overlooked by the blackpool tower and minutes from central pier, it’s an ideal location to be. The staff were polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, access to plenty of tea or coffee. The room was clean apart from a few missed bits that are easy to overlook, and very comfortable. Ideal for laying your head in comfort before exploring Blackpool on the doorstep

Staff was friendly. Spoke to us upon arrival and throughout the stay. Room was on the small size for a family of 5. If you're just wanting a room to rest your head then it's not bad.. Paid £135 for 2 nights and having kids aged 1,5 & 6 and being on the top level didn't help.

Absolutely disgusting the place was filthy rips in bedding holes in walls mould in shower door wouldnt close properly couldnt get into reception till 10am the man on desk wasnt friendly and was drunk in our 1st night his wife wasnt much use either said she had come to help him god knows what to do cos ckeaning doesnt vet done

Absolutely horrendous. Travelled on the 22nd august. Greeted by a lovely man but that was the only thing that was nice. On arrival it smelt musty but thought we'd see how it is. Got into our room. Well wallpaper was ripped all over,bed sheets stained,bathroom hot water didn't work. Bedroom window didn't close properly. Same night there was a game force winds and we couldn't sleep as window didn't close properly. Came to 5am and we left. I definitely wouldnt recommend this hotel.
