Very good location. Owner was very friendly and helpful

After reading reviews and looking at pictures I booked for a night on 23rd December as I was attending a funeral. Was in a single room, named Yew up in attic. Ceiling badly stained with damp, floor was absolutely filthy, a dirty, used elastoplast on floor in bedroom and allsorts, carpet on stairway and landing covered in dirt . Paid £40 for bed and breakfast and didn't get any breakfast, dining room locked up. Myself and another guest knocked on doors and called their local 01253 phone number and got answer machine. Avoid🤬🤬 not even worthy of 1 star

This hotel is in a great position for the promenade just 10 mins walk to the central pier. We were on the top floor in the cedar room. The room had everything it needed for a comfortable stay. The en suite was compact but perfectly functional. On arrival the toilet seat was very loose but was sorted quickly once the landlady was informed. The taps move the wrong way too. When we booked we thought a breakfast was included, in truth it was but it was cereal and toast. A fry up is available for £7.50. we had this on Friday and it was very good but on the Saturday morning it was virtually inedible. This is a value for money hotel and it will get better. The landlady was very helpful and had good local knowledge.

i dont like to give bad reviews especially when someones livelyhood depends on it but this is not a 4star maybe a 1star at best i will not be staying here ever again i think the new owners are trying to decieve by using the previous owners ratings !!!

We looked at the photos of the hotel prior to booking and it looked really comfortable and well decorated however the reality was somewhat different. The staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming but alarms began to ring when the landlady reported that the card machine had accidentally been dropped in water so it was cash payments only. The dining room ceiling near the front had issues with damp (?) and some of the wallpaper was peeling from the walls. The downstairs toilet was extremely dirty. Our room however was very clean and smelt nice. The bedding was substandard and the bed itself was made out of plywood, blocks of wood and carpet tacked round it. The built in wardrobe had a hole in the ceiling. Two pieces of furniture looked quite new but a bedside table had seen better days. The toilet seat was only fixed on one side and there was a very old fan heater nailed to the bathroom wall. There was plenty of hot water but the bathroom was extremely small. The cooked breakfast was very good but I didn’t see any fruit? The price of our room was £60 but it cost us £19 to park in the multi storey car park so in hindsight I would have preferred to have paid more for the room and have on site parking. It was however, very close to the tower.

very pleasant stay room was nice and clean . the owners can not be more pleasant and very helpful i would recommend this hotel who wants a cheep place to stay in blackpool .close to all the main shops and tower. i will be going back to stay there again.
