Premier Inn Blackburn Town Centre

The Hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Blackburn ideal for the Cathedral, shopping or St Georges Hall. Room was nice and clean with a good view of the Catherdral. Bus and Train Station very close, Staff nice and friendly and did not feel uncomfortable being on my own

Stayed late in the evening last minute with family whist travelling. Don’t know the area of Blackburn at all, my first time here. Parking is free and the hotel car park is situated a short walk across the road from the hotel. Self check in machine was broken but we waited less than 5 minutes before being checked in by staff member. Room was high on 5th floor so had great views from window however the windows obviously don’t open due to safety so therefore the room did feel warmer even with air conditioning on. Room was a good size with plenty of room for one night for my family of 4. It had a double bed and 2 single pull out beds. Room was clean and had everything we needed for one night. We opted for breakfast which was tasty and good value with kids eating for free when paying for an adult. Staff were friendly. Only negative was unfortunately sleep was interrupted due to the smoke alarm going off. Siren loud ringing and warning light flashing. Utterly terrifying us all at 2am in the morning. It then went off a further 4 short times! Reception staff trying their best to fix the problem and clearly harassed when we spoke to them but my youngest was really scared and shaking. Unfortunately we were informed that it seemed someone had set it off on purpose! Possibly Punching the alarm in the hallway. Makes you wonder what type of person would do that? Puts me off returning, probably my first and last visit to Blackburn.

The AC did not work making the room very hot, my room was not ready and then moved into a unsuitable room for the 3 of us other guests were given the room I had been moved into so walked into the room during the bedtime of my youngest child was not a a very good experience at all the only thing good was the breakfast in the morning

Price really good! Staff absolutely wonderful - they definitely go the extra mile. Food - fabulous. If you think you have a big appetite, try their mixed mixed grill.

It’s in a great location, the staff seemed helpful and friendly enough and even moved my colleague when he complained about his room(air con issues). The room was clean, no complaints there even though it’s now getting slightly dated. My only gripe is that at night the air conditioning made a right racket (I decided to stay), In the end I had to turn it off which wasn’t great as I was too warm to sleep. Not the worse Premier Inn I’ve stayed in but definitely not the best. Could also do with some USB charging ports in the rooms.

As always our room was super clean, stylish and comfy. The service and professionalism shown by the wonderful Katie was outstanding. We enjoyed an evening meal and Kay was all efficiency snd smiles. Another fantastic stay with Premier Inn… thanks to all your team that make it happen!!

We stayed here for radio 2 in the park.Unfortunately the Sunday was torrential rain and we were soaked when we got to the hotel.The girl on reception was brilliant.Booked us in so quickly and got us some wine ( very important) Our room was lovely and warm and after a hot shower we were back on form.Breakfast the following morning was plentiful and freshly cooked.Would definitely recommend.
