"This hotel is absolutely not worth it, especially for the room we booked. We reserved a sea-view room with a pavilion, but when we walked in, the sofa on the balcony was completely soaked, and to top it off, there was no roof over it! I went to the front desk to ask for a sofa replacement. The cleaner they sent only offered me two towels to put on it?! I went back to the front desk again, and they apologized, saying they'd try to find a dry sofa for us in the afternoon and offered two complimentary dinner buffets as compensation. We waited for an hour, but no one came to replace it. The phone in the room also wasn't working, so I had to go back to the front desk. Finally, they brought a 'new' sofa, but it still felt damp when we sat on it. After three hours of back and forth, I was utterly speechless and just gave up. We paid over 1400 (tax included) for a room with a balcony. If there's no usable balcony sofa, a regular sea-view room costs less than 700. What was the point of paying so much extra? The room size and interior furnishings are identical (my friend booked a standard room, so we compared them). I thought the complimentary buffet might be worth something, but it was a disaster. There was hardly any food, and what was there was covered in flies. It was the first time I've ever left a buffet feeling hungry. The food was terrible, and it felt like a wasted opportunity to try better local cuisine. The nearby beach was also very dirty, with plastic bags floating everywhere. Overall, the service and facilities are extremely poor, and it offers terrible value for money. Maybe it would be acceptable if you booked the most basic room."

"Even though the hotel looks a bit dated, it didn't dampen the kids' spirits. The seaside views are beautiful, and the white sand is super fine and clean. At night, you can hear frogs croaking, which the kids absolutely loved."

"The rooms were really clean. They even did turn down which was not expected. The beach club was super fun. The pickleball and padel courts were not yet ready. Kids loved the kiddy pool and for outdoor playground."

"Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of food. The room was soundproof, ensuring a very good night's sleep. The only minor drawback was that the beef and chicken we ordered for lunch were very tough and hard to chew. However, the staff were attentive and provided excellent service, which made our whole family very happy. We would definitely come back again."

"Doulos Phos the Ship Hotel is a place of total serenity and peace. Upon arrival ,we were greeted by the warm hospitality of the hotel team. Andri, the hotel manager gave us a good overview of the activities that we can enjoy at the hotel. He personally conducted the tour and the ship hotel and briefed us on its interesting history. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious. The sunset and sunrise were beautiful. In the evening, we had a 10-course Rijstafel, an Indo- Dutch semi fine dining comprising a welcome drink, appetizer,, main course and dessert plus a very special brew of coffee. Overall, it has been a wonderful weekend getaway for me and my wife. Will come back again to explore the surroundings more."

"My second time visiting beautiful Bintan Island, and I chose the Grand Lagoi Hotel once again. Its location right at Lagoi Bay gives you seamless access to a gorgeous beach. I also highly recommend the food and vibe at Warung Yeah! nearby. My only critique is that fresh fruit is very hard to find here. It would be a huge improvement if Plaza Lagoi could bring a mini-market or supermarket into the area."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommended It's about an hour and twenty minutes from the pier, which isn't super close, but the hotel offers a shuttle service. Booking it in advance made things very easy, especially traveling with family. The environment is quiet with great views, and the rooms are clean and spacious, making for a comfortable stay. The snorkeling experience was good, and the staff were incredibly patient and responsible. I definitely have to praise the restaurant! The traditional Indonesian dishes were super authentic; we ate there two nights in a row and still couldn't get enough. Overall, we were very satisfied. It's really suitable for a family vacation!"
