A pleasant surprise this hotel next to the San Mames stadium, close enough to many points of interest in Bilbao. Very clean and with everything you need in the room and good quality as well. Breakfast was excellent with everything you could want, local specialities, champagne and wine, orange juice freshly squeezed, hot chocolate, a wide range of special teas, home made cookies and pastries, everything so tasty and diverse that it was a very difficult choice. The staff everywhere in the hotel was polite and helpful. Highly recommended for services and quality.

The hotel is unique in design, novel, and the front desk service is good. The reception processing speed is relatively slow, the elevator is less inconvenient, sometimes it needs to wait, and the overall stay is quite satisfactory.

The location is great. In the core of Bilbao New Town, there is a parking lot on one or two streets. The overall decoration of the hotel is simple and warm. It has just been renovated in recent years. However, due to the old facilities of the building, it is inevitable that you can smell some kerosene-like smell in the bathroom. The location of the hotel is particularly convenient to go out, the breakfast is also rich and varied, the service is warm and friendly, stayed for 4 nights, the room is clean and tidy every day, it is to catch up with the cooling and rain, the hotel does not have an umbrella to borrow.

The room is relatively compact. The location is very good, just by the river, within walking distance from the main attractions in the city. There are no vegetables for breakfast, mainly custard and cereal. No ironing board, laundry room, no unsolicited provision of disposables. The gym is in the basement, very small with no windows. The elevator has ladder control, but it is not very sensitive.

We had a lovely 4 night stay at the at Mercure Bilbao Jardines de Albia - Great welcome, Our ‘Privilege’ Room on the 7th floor was lovely very spacious with a very comfortable King size bed, large closet with hanging and shelf space and a large safe. There was a minibar with complimentary water 2 still and 1 sparkling, 2 beers and 2 Coca Cola which was replenished every day. There is a coffee machine. Good controllable air conditioning. The Bathroom had a large walk-in shower. There is a nightclub nearby so there is some noise at night so if you are a light sleeper you should ask for a quiet room. Perfect location - The hotel is 15 min stroll to the Guggenheim museum and its about 10 minute walk from the centres of both the old and new towns, there is a Corte Ingles about 10 mins walk away on the main street and the hotel is just a couple of minutes from the river. The Lobby bar is great and the staff are pleasant and helpful and prices are very reasonable – it was lovely sitting outside having a glass of wine. It is very easy to get to from the airport A3247 bus stop, Journey from the airport is about 20 minutes. Great staff All the staff we met were helpful. Reception is on the 3rd Floor. Breakfast is on the 4th floor with good coffee machines and a great fresh orange juice machine. Thank you to all the restaurant and bar staff especially the manager and also Pedro. The housekeeping was efficient, and everything was spotless. There are so many amazing restaurants and bars in Bilbao serving great food – We were lucky enough to be in Bilbao for the start of the festival and we really enjoyed the amazing firework display on Saturday night. We are already looking forward to returning to Bilbao and the Mercure Bilbao Jardines de Albia.

The hotel is centrally located, clean, new... In that sense it is very good but they put us in a handicapped room, the closet was very low and you couldn't hang anything long, the shower had a curtain and it stuck to you when you showered apart from that was flooding. The receptionist, very nice and friendly, apologized to us and told us that there was no more free room and that in that hotel the disabled room was considered a normal room.
