Sierra Blue Hotel & Swim Club

Super cute remodeled hotel. I’ve lived in Big Bear for 17 years and remember the old establishment. They did a good job updating. Room was clean, spacious, smelled good and the AC was a plus. Plenty of towels, hand soaps, shower products etc. You have a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and blow dryer. They have some snacks you can purchase and drinks, not bad priced if in a hurry and it worked out perfect for snacks for my kid on the go! The front desk clerk was a very nice gentleman who had me checked in super quick. The hotel is older but worth the great price and stay!

My mom and I took a little sun-Mon trip to the mountains of Big Bear and we really enjoyed staying at the Sierra Blue Hotel and Swim club. It has the cutest modern boutique vibe. Very clean and safe and we also enjoyed chatting with the friendly manager! The bathrooms were also very clean and the shower had good water pressure. The mattresses were very comfortable. We loved our room and how we could easily walk to the village! Good ventilation in the room when we slept. We also enjoyed watching Hulu. We will be back!

Rooms were clean, lobby had coffee, the hotel is within walking distance to the village… it was a great stay! The staff was very kind and helpful. We were recommended oakside for our dinner the first night and that was the perfect recommendation.

Great location in Big Bear Village. On the west side of the public parking lot, you can walk to all the shops and restaurants. Very clean and friendly staff. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Week end rates are quite high but if you can do Sun - Thurs you will save $.

Really enjoyed my time at Sierra Blue & Swim Club, the location is absolutely perfect if you are staying in Big Bear. Close proximity (many within walking distance) to restaurants, shopping and activities. We attend the Big Bier Takeover, Big Bear Crawl and Oktoberfest every year during the first weekend of October and this year was a little touch and go due to the fires but Sierra Blue was great to us, helped with keeping us informed and when warnings were lifted and we made the decision to come up, the treatment we received was first class all the way through. We loved the pool and hot tub after a long day walking and our room was perfect. This is an older property and you can tell they are upgrading it and turning it into a pretty cool boutique hotel for the area. I won’t pretend it was perfect and if you’re standards are extremely high you may find things like being able to hear guests walking above you not to your liking or notice the odd chip of paint that needs attention but if you’re more hang loose and your concerns are a clean, fun and accessible to stay while you’re in Big Bear than absolutely this would be a great place to stay.
