Nice hotel and great room…except the noise from the bar kept us up and some drunk guy was yelling in the hallway. The z shower was very weak. All in all everyone tried their best and the hotel is very nice. Maybe it would be quieter if it wasn’t Friday night.

Lovely but Avoid Noisy Discos on Race Days Lovely central location means all the town centre is walkable. Lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby. Room was comfortable with a view of the square. Breakfast was delicious. Staff polite and friendly. I would recommend the hotel BUT when we arrived at the there were about 100 + party goers waiting to go in the disco taking place on the ground floor which we had not been told about. This went on to midnight. I am not sure if this is a regular Saturday night event or just when Beverley Races are on.

I rarely review unless I’ve had a particularly memorable experience. We called at The Kingshead for a drink today because it looked ok from outside. Somewhat disappointed with the interior, a mismatch of random furniture that wasn’t shabby chic just shabby. It was only a quick drink so didn’t leave, my wife selected a table and I waited to order. I wish we’d not ignored our initial thoughts. I ordered a pint of Guinness and a half of Peroni….. £12 ! A ridiculous price for a tatty Yorkshire bar with stuffing bursting out of the furniture. Both male and female loos left much to be desired too.

Just what we wanted for an overnight stay. We were able to leave the car in the car park prior to check-in. We stayed in the Ironside room, which was large and comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. The staff were on hand if you needed anything. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant which was delicious and plentiful. There was no problem with us leaving the car after we had checked out (until 2.00 pm) which was very helpful. If we are ever in the area again we would not hesitate to stay here.

Room was clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly and helpful. only issue was car parking. the pub/hotel had a small car park to the rear. cars needed to park in the square that was a pay and display free from 6pm-8am. but was a short stay park.

Enjoyed my 2 night stay, but there is no lift, you have to walk the stairs, however the staff did carry my suitcase for me.
