Friendly efficient staff. Everything was quality and spotlessly clean . Lovely served breakfast. Evening meal was excellent too. Will certainly recommend and we hopefully will return before long. Very good quiet location near the coast.

We stayed in pod no 35 and ate in the restaurant. Initially we were shown the pod and it looked beautiful and I have to admit it was. The welcome pack was a lovely touch the robes and the slippers for the hot tub were also a great addition. My main concern was with the bed and the broken mattress on one side it felt like a broken spring and it gave for an uncomfortable nights sleep. The pod was also slightly sticky and over the white walls it looked like coffee or tea stains were splatted all over them. Re the stickiness it could have just been the cleaning product that was used but may be worth a check. At dinner we loved the little Canopies it was a lovely touch. My wife enjoyed her pork but my fish and chips were greasy not enjoyable at all. I did mention this to the waiter and he took 10% off the bill.

The food at the hotel restaurant is delicious - good choice and huge portions! The rooms are clean, comfortable and perfect for a few nights away. The hotel staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Lovely stay in one of the pods, we stayed under the Serene Sundays offer which included dinner and breakfast and the food was great. Dinner included everything but one main and one starter which were a supplement. Very reasonable and spotlessly clean pod which was very high tech including under floor heating and lights all controlled by a panel inside! Also need to mention how lovely and friendly the staff were

The location is perfect for a Northumberland country house stay. The staff and service were first class. We stayed 2 nights a d ate in the restaurant on the first night and had 2 breakfasts...overall the food was ok but could be better. The classic room was spacious but do not stay in room 19 as it's directly above a very noisy extractor fan which comes on around 6am and doesn't go off until 11pm.

We said the last time that repeat visits were essential - so this is our first REPEAT visit - as promised. Same beautiful room (Room 1). This was our wedding anniversary and we were again made to feel very welcome. Excellent point - they remembered us from our previous visit - a lovely touch we thought, especially when James (the "Porter") popped in to the bar to welcome us back! Choice of meals was even better. Lots of options from formal dinner to light lunches and room service. Not much else we can say - except that we have already booked for March next year.
