Popular Berlin 4-star Hotels

Located in central of Berlin, this is probably the tallest hotel in town. They have a really nice view over the city. Very convenient with metro and all the restaurants and shops around. Rooms are clean but if you live high up, it’s hard to get mobile signal. Wifi doesn’t work so well when a lot of people are using it. One of the biggest issue if you live higher than 20th floor, the elevator won’t stop at your floor for so long. Not sure how the elevators work, you may have to wait 10 mins for getting down to lobby at busy hours (etc lunch/ dinner hour) Check in was easy and quick, and staff is friendly also.

Everything was perfect until the morning of departure, when the service staff knocked on the room door at 8.30 in the morning to tell me to check out because they had to clean, although on Booking, check-out was provided until 12 o'clock.It somewhat erased all the charm until then.

This hotel has 5 room types, i booked an Executive apartment, which if the second top room type. I am a solo traveller, but liked the room layout and the extra space. I checked in on 30/03/22 for 3 nights and was allocated room 107. On opening the door i immediately thought it did not exactly resemble the pics i had seen for an Executive Apartment, it was big enough, but just not what i was expecting. The kitchen area was locked up with a shutter over it, which i thought strange. I literally just in the room for 5 minutes and went out exploring. I checked with reception about the kitchen being looked and they asked if i wanted it unlocked to use, yes, that's why i booked that room type, the fridge with freezer compartment for ice and cold drinks. I came back about 5 hours later and the kitchen was indeed unlocked. I was going to shower and looked for the bath robe and slippers which should be in the room, but nothing was there. it was at this point i was sure this was not the room type i had booked. I checked on my phone and looking at the specifications was sure i had been given the wrong room type. I went to reception to enquire and spoke to the duty manager, he printed off 2 pages to show the difference between an Executive Apartment and an Apartment (the top room type), although the same pics had been used to advertise both room types, there were some differences and he stated that my room was larger than most in the hotel. I was still unsure, but accepted what he said and i collected a bathrobe and slippers, the reason they are not already in the room was due to ongoing Covid restrictions. I still felt that i was in the room room type, it was large, but a lot of the room was taken up by a wet room, which was adapted for a wheelchair user and this made the room an awkward space with a lot of dead space. As it turned out, my flight home was cancelled and i ended up staying only 2 nights, so didn't pursue things further. On returning home i checked the room specifications on the website and room 107 is not up to the specifications advertised or as soon in the pics. two main reasons. 1) Executive Apartments have a sofa/sofa bed and can sleep up to 3 people, room 107 had no sofa/sofa bed and this room could only sleep 2 people max. 2) Executive Apartments have a separate seating area, a table and chairs where you can sit and eat, this is clearly shown in the pics too. This was not in room 107. The only seating was a chair at the desk and one other chair. I think room 107 is a superior room adapted for a wheelchair user, but was given to me as i was a solo traveller and dd not need the capacity to sleep 3. I wanted the sofa/sofa bed to sit on and relax, that's why i booked a room with that in it. I am only writing this review, as 3 emails have gone unanswered, one to novum hotels 10/04/22 and two direct to the hotel 12/04/22 and 20/04/22. During a stay I found that hotel has a huge problem with hot water, very frequent was only cold water. Windows are not isolages and you lissen from outside all also wind a cold from outside, heating is only via climatisation.

This hotel is an ideal residential neighbourhood, but also central to many attractions. Seconds from Liebeskind’s Jewish Museum, a short walk to Potsdamer Platz, etc. Superb breakfast, tidy modern rooms and excellent staff. Very comfortable and user friendly across all criteria. I would stay here again any time. Quiet street for the centre of Berlin.

Stayed here for a weekend exploring Berlin. The location was good just a short walk to the train station which take you into the centre of Berlin or you can catch a tram from Miles outside the hotel to the train station if you don’t want to walk. The rooms were clean and spacious but a little tired however we thought this was reflected in the price we paid. We booked 2 rooms and ended up next to each other which was great, whenever I book 2 rooms in the UK we end up on different floors. We did have a 5am fire alarm wake up call where we were evacuated from the building for some time with no communication. There is a Lidl nearby to pick up supplies if needed. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Berlin.

Located only a few minutes away from the Berlin Hbf. Accessibility is perfect. The room is clean, the lift (elevator) is properly functioning, the shower is well functioning, people at the front reception are nice. 立地：ベルリン中央駅から徒歩数分です。駅からホテルまでの道にもさほど大きな段差もなく、良い。 清潔度：良い。 外観：良い。 エレベーター：稼働。 ベッド：良い。 ミネラルウォーター（ガス入り）：ガス無しがいい方は駅で調達されてください。 エアコン：あり。 シャワー：稼働。。 周辺環境／治安：駅から近いものの、フランクフルトやミュンヘンやハンブルクなどの大都市と比べるとかなりマシです。昨今治安が急激に悪化してきており、駅周辺には重度のアルコール中毒／薬物中毒と思しき方々がたむろしています。重武装の警察官が駅周辺をパトロールしておられます（お疲れ様でございます）。路上喫煙OKなのでどこもかしこもタバコの臭いと煙が漂っています。歴史ある街がタバコの吸いガラで汚されていくのをみると心が痛みます。歩きタバコをしている方々もおられます。大麻の臭いもします。 周辺レストラン：多数あります。治安等々気をつけてご利用されてください。

Parking is convenient, check-in is quick, and the room is relatively comfortable. The details touch people's hearts. Everything they touch and look at makes customers make unexpected discoveries. The service attitude at the front desk is also very good. When entering the hotel, the environment is just like the photos, clean and well designed. All in all, a very satisfying stay.

This Crowne Plaza is definitely showing its age and is ready for a fairly comprehensive refurb. It does have a very handy location, however, and still delivers a pretty solid product. Check-in was quick and efficient, although trying to pass off a standard room on a higher floor as an upgrade always feels a bit disingenuous. My IHG status was recognised and we were also able to check-in early. Most of the public areas of the hotel are quite dated and gloomy. The rooms were refurbished in the 2000s and are a bit more up to date, as are the bathrooms, but could also do with a more modern feel. No USB sockets here for sure. That said, the room was very clean and everything that was in it worked – including a very efficient HVAC system. Sound proofing was also reasonably decent (although we were on the quiet floor and you could still hear doors slamming) and the blackout curtains did their job. The room did feel quite cramped, particularly for a hotel originally built in the 1970s. The restaurant area has been updated more recently and the breakfast buffet was extensive, well stocked and enjoyable – definitely a highlight. We did book quite a long time in advance, so the room rate of around EUR130pn felt pretty good value for what we got. I would return if the rate was right.

Very nice and clean hotel. Good bed and room overall. Very competitive price. Tram stop right in front of hotel. Definitely recommend for stay in Berlin.
