Hotels Near Al-Nur Moschee in Berlin

I stayed in the hotel on 8 December for one night with my wife, 3 years old son and 2 months infant daughter. Upon check-in we received an upgrade and a welcome drinks voucher being a Platinum member of Accor. I informed the reception that I would like to have a late check-out up to 2 PM because I will be outside at other part of the city for a meeting and might be late in afternoon. The reception agreed to it and told me that Platinum members have free late check-out. I also asked if the hotel honors Accor Ambassadors and the hotel refused that they are a franchise and they do not. The room given to us was Room 54 and it was good and hot as per the weather condition, 0 degrees outside. The beds were comfortable. After check-in and leaving the luggage in the room, I came to the lobby and I was working on my laptop when my wife informed me by phone that the bathroom was having a bad smell and the shower area had a problem, the water does not drain. I checked it and came back to the reception. The manager herself was available at reception and I informed her about the issue. She said she will get it checked. I went back to the lobby to work on my laptop. Despite complaining, the issue was not solved neither we were given any feedback. Next day I could not take a shower before going to work because there was plenty of water from the previous day. I tried to fix the drainage by myself but the water was taking a lot of time to drain. I left the hotel for the meeting. Around 11:45 AM my wife called me and said that the hotel wants her to check-out. I told her that I will send an email to the reception, if they come again tell them that I sent them an email and if they insist, come to the lobby with the luggage but it was difficult for her to come out with the luggage and the infant at same time. My wife had a health issue and it was not possible for her. I did not had local German calls allowed on roaming. I only had an internet SIM for EU. I excused the Deputy GM of the company I had a meeting with and sent the hotel an email. The Deputy GM asked me if there is a problem and I explained her that the hotel wants my wife to check-out now and being a Platinum member the late check-out is possible and I already had it discussed yesterday. She offered me to talk with the hotel directly using her mobile. She dialed the number and phone was on speaker. The phone was answered by the manager herself. I was told by the hotel that the hotel is fully booked but they lied, I checked later and several rooms of all categories were available including the one I stayed. I made a reservation for the same category of the room I am staying in just to show them that they lied and that the hotel is not fully booked. Reservation was late canceled as cancelation was free until 6:00 PM. I returned to the hotel as soon as I can and we checked-in to another Accor hotel. We are staying in Accor hotels since a long time and we never had such issues. In short the said hotel is

We were left a little confused about this hotel. My husband and I stayed here for 8 nights visiting family close by hence the reason we had to stay in this area. We had mixed feelings about the hotel but I would stay again. It appears this hotel belongs to a chain of hotels. I suspect that the write up of this hotel on booking sites is generic to cover all of their hotels. The internet shows it has a restaurant and considering the guests can come from anywhere, the word restaurant means different things to different people. In this case it meant the breakfast room and not somewhere you could have lunch and dinner. However the Italian restaurant next door Il Nouvo is amazing. I had emailed on two occasions previously to ask whether or not they supply any type of transfer from the airport as it is quite expensive. I never received a response. That was disappointing. I don't necessarily know if the request goes to his hotel or to the head office but it is poor poor service. We booked directly through the hotel, and it was reasonably priced for the area and included breakfast. On arrival we were treated great and service was great. There is a nice seating area in the foyer and at reception there is water with lemons for guests as well as a fruit bowl full of fruit. I note that staffing changed regularly at the desk within the time we were there so service wasn't always consistent. I'm not sure if there is an employment issue as we were told that some staff weren't familiar with the hotel as they were from another site. At one point I went to get a water, this may be trivial for some, but it hadn't been filled for a day. There were just lemons sitting on the bottom. I did ask reception if I could get some water. She filled it but it was the same lemons that had been there for 3 days. I note the next day it was refreshed. The bar which has drinks available was another mixed feeling. The reception staff operated the bar, it was situated behind them. I don't think it's their fault but they didn't know some of the drinks that were on the menu nor did they know how to make some of the drinks. One find young man was going to make an Aperol Spritz, with orange juice, as this is what the recipe said. We stopped him from doing that. There was a great little sparking drink they ran out of which was never replenished. Some of the drinks on their list, they didn't have. When a wanted a small sparkling wine, first time I was charged for the bottle and provided with the glass and the small bottle. Second time round served by a different staff member he poured me a drink and charged me the bottle price but kept half of it. Again, I don't think it's their fault, it's some sort of lack of training. This doesn't take away from their kindness and their effort. The hotel is very good, more than 20 minutes from Berlin city by S train. After buying the tickets on the platform, you must remember to plug in the machine next to it to check the time~ If it is a small group of 5 people, it is recommended to buy a team ticket~ more cost-effective~ The service staff is also very patient. We deducted 25 euros per room one or two days before check-in. We asked about things every day. The hotel staff explained to us very clearly. In contrast, the Ctrip staff showed their shortcomings. I only talk about things. Our own process: After discovering these deductions, we contacted Ctrip's customer service and responded to the question. Ctrip said to help us understand the situation. After a while, we replied to us. Afterwards, Ctrip called: 1 did not contact us hotel. 2 They can help us ask questions as friends. We are a little angry at the end. We are wondering why we are ”helping” as ”friends” to ask? Instead of being an official booking platform? We believe in Ctrip. However, we are not satisfied with the previous resolution of this matter. It is hoped that Ctrip can have a better communication and handling mechanism in handling timely problems in the future. People who are away from home are most afraid of things that they don’t understand. They thought they could find a platform to communicate and deal with it in a timely manner. . Thank you~

Für zwei Nächte an einem langen Wochenende haben wir uns das IBB Berlin Airport ausgesucht - vor allem, weil es das letzte Hotel mit verträglichen Preisen war. Das Hotel liegt etwa 12 Minuten Fußweg von der Haltestelle Schöneweide entfernt. Der Weg ist eben und flach. Eine Straßenbahn (27/67) fährt von Schöneweide aus bis direkt vor den Hotel-Eingang. Von Schöneweide aus gibt es reichlich Verbindungen zum Flughafen und in die Stadt. Bis in die Stadt, z.B. Potsdamer Platz, ist man allerdings mindestens eine halbe Stunde bis Stunde unterwegs. Im direkten Umfeld des Hotels gibt es absolut gar nichts von touristischem Interesse: Keine Bars, Kneipen, Clubs, Restaurants, Imbisse, Dönerbuden, Supermärkte, Kioske, Spätis. Das ist alles an der Haltestelle Schöneweide. Das Hotel ist ein flacher, langer Klotz mit Zimmern auf beiden Seiten eines Flurs. Die Zimmer sind schlicht und funktional eingerichtet: Bett, große Ablage, Hocker, zwei kleine Nachttische, eine kleine Schrankwand. Das Bett ist relativ hart, und wir fanden es etwas klein. Das Zimmer lässt sich durch große Vorhänge zwar abdunkeln, es wird aber nicht ganz dunkel, da auf beiden Seiten vor den Fenstern Lampen stehen. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern wird es relativ still, bei geöffneten Fenstern muss man mit mittlerem Verkehrslärm rechnen. Lauter ist es vom Flur her: Die Zimmertüren fallen auf den letzten fünf Zentimetern laut krachend zu, so dass teilweise die Wände wackeln - und so ab acht oder neun hört man das dauerthaft. Neben dem Bett gibt es Steckdosen und individuelle Nachtischlampen. Auch an der Ablage gibt es eine Steckdose. Das WLAN fanden wir stabil und schnell, der Speedtest sagt 50 MBit. Video-Calls waren unterbrechungsfrei möglich. Die Zimmer haben keine Klimaanlage, und wurden selbst im Mai schon relativ warm. Das Bad ist mittelgroß, und mit einer relativ großen Dusche ausgestattet. Am Spiegel gibt es eine große Ablage, sonst gibt es im Bad keine Ablagen. Den Wasserdruck fanden wir gut, die Temperatur blieb stabil, war jedoch eher warm als heiss. Die Dusche hat eine Handbrause, wir haben es jedoch nicht geschafft, diese zu aktivieren. Da die Dusche offen ist, findet sich danach ein wenig Wasser auf dem Bad-Boden wieder, man muss ein bisschen aufpassen. Bad und Zimmer waren sehr sauber, alles Mobiliar in Ordnung. Das Personal ist freundlich und zugänglich. Wir würden rein vom Hotel hier erneut übernachten, und es auch für Flughafen-Anfahrten berücksichtigen - für die Lage am Rande von allem ziehen wir jedoch einen Stern ab.

Stayed here while visiting our daughter, it is literally a couple of steps from a U Bahn station so could not be more convenient. The staff were very helpful and professional, with a 24 hour reception. You have a code to enter your room which is great so no keys or cards to lose! Our room was spotless and there were nice quality sheets on the bed. The room was very warm which was great as it was -6 C outside but we were also able to open the window for fresh air which we loved as a lot of hotels do not allow this.We didn't eat breakfast so cannot comment on this but there are snacks and drinks available to buy in the reception if you need them. Will definitely stay again when we visit.

I stayed only two nights at a&o Berlin Mitte with Contiki, the stay was comfortable. The four-share rooms were very small and a bit tricky to fit our four suitcases. We also had a run-in with staff at the front desk. For a four-share room, we only got two keys. When a member of our group asked for a spare key, she was denied then given a temporary card and was rudely told to bring it right back - but how could she get back into the room to bring it back??? Others in our tour had the same experience. Besides that, the breakfast was great.

This is a modern functional hotel (which we booked via BA holidays) apparently popular for conferences, so you get the picture. Four of us went for a city break. The hotel is well situated within easy walking distance of Gendarmenmarkt. Spittelmart U-bahn is 2 minutes away. Easy and welcoming check-in. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious. The bathroom had an excellent walk-in shower although the wash basin had the depth of a birdbath. What was surprising was the amount of wasted space in the bedroom with a great void between the bed and the door which could have been used for some proper drawers and shelves. As it was, there was only 1 drawer and 3 shelves, one of which was useful only if you were 2 metres tall (see photo). The wardrobe, if you could call it that, was an open hanging space, but it was situated at right angles to a padded seat (see photo) making accessibility difficult and there was only one chair in the room. Tea-making facilities were available but instant coffee only and powdered milk. We used to take a small jug of milk from breakfast and keep it in the fridge. There was a very good and comprehensive breakfast with just about everything one could want. As a morning tea drinker I cannot comment on the coffee which came from a machine, but there was an excellent selection of leaf teas. The hot food was OK, but nothing cooked to order so that eggs were either warm scrambled or hard boiled. Staff were very helpful and dishes promptly refilled. We didn’t use the restaurant for dinner as the menu looked pretty basic but there are restaurants within walking distance. All in all, nothing special but I would still recommend it for a short stay.

This hotel has 5 room types, i booked an Executive apartment, which if the second top room type. I am a solo traveller, but liked the room layout and the extra space. I checked in on 30/03/22 for 3 nights and was allocated room 107. On opening the door i immediately thought it did not exactly resemble the pics i had seen for an Executive Apartment, it was big enough, but just not what i was expecting. The kitchen area was locked up with a shutter over it, which i thought strange. I literally just in the room for 5 minutes and went out exploring. I checked with reception about the kitchen being looked and they asked if i wanted it unlocked to use, yes, that's why i booked that room type, the fridge with freezer compartment for ice and cold drinks. I came back about 5 hours later and the kitchen was indeed unlocked. I was going to shower and looked for the bath robe and slippers which should be in the room, but nothing was there. it was at this point i was sure this was not the room type i had booked. I checked on my phone and looking at the specifications was sure i had been given the wrong room type. I went to reception to enquire and spoke to the duty manager, he printed off 2 pages to show the difference between an Executive Apartment and an Apartment (the top room type), although the same pics had been used to advertise both room types, there were some differences and he stated that my room was larger than most in the hotel. I was still unsure, but accepted what he said and i collected a bathrobe and slippers, the reason they are not already in the room was due to ongoing Covid restrictions. I still felt that i was in the room room type, it was large, but a lot of the room was taken up by a wet room, which was adapted for a wheelchair user and this made the room an awkward space with a lot of dead space. As it turned out, my flight home was cancelled and i ended up staying only 2 nights, so didn't pursue things further. On returning home i checked the room specifications on the website and room 107 is not up to the specifications advertised or as soon in the pics. two main reasons. 1) Executive Apartments have a sofa/sofa bed and can sleep up to 3 people, room 107 had no sofa/sofa bed and this room could only sleep 2 people max. 2) Executive Apartments have a separate seating area, a table and chairs where you can sit and eat, this is clearly shown in the pics too. This was not in room 107. The only seating was a chair at the desk and one other chair. I think room 107 is a superior room adapted for a wheelchair user, but was given to me as i was a solo traveller and dd not need the capacity to sleep 3. I wanted the sofa/sofa bed to sit on and relax, that's why i booked a room with that in it. I am only writing this review, as 3 emails have gone unanswered, one to novum hotels 10/04/22 and two direct to the hotel 12/04/22 and 20/04/22. I do note that the hotel responds to some reviews on here, so perhaps you could get back to me, as I would

Everything without a problem. Good breakfast. Elevator. Only a few parking spaces. You can park on the street. Pleasant surroundings of single-family houses. Perfect for a short stay. Quiet, no parties.

By the time this incident happened, I have already completed a 4 days stay in the hotel and was willing to increase my stay. For that purpose, I went to Mrs. Hausweld and asked to please consult the availability and the price of the rooms for extra nights. In response, I was told that the final price, including the city tax for 3 additional nights would be 350 euros with breakfast included. Consequently, I was willing to go along with that reservation and requested to pay by card. Afterward, then Mrs. Hausweld offered me the POS terminal to go along with the payment, and the amount ascended to 419 euros. Due to that unexpected difference, I kindly asked for an explanation and was told that 419 euros were the final price, and if I was not happy with it I would need to leave the hotel immediately. As a result, I kindly refused to pay that amount and asked her to please consult the price for two nights instead of three. In response to that, the front desk manager told me that no more rooms were available for me and that I needed to check out now and leave the hotel. Following that conversation, I went on Booking.com and reserved a room for the same days, without breakfast, and surprisingly rooms were still available. Next, I went to the front desk and asked to please pay for my booking Mrs. Hausweld looked at me in an unfriendly manner and told me she could not find any reservation. After 5 minutes of searching, she could finally open my booking. Then, although I already provided a credit card in my booking, she asked me to show it to her because she was not believing that it was not mine. I answered that the card was in effect mine and offered her to have a look, but it did not have any numbers on it. So she got ahead to request me to write down my credit card details, including the CVV code, on a piece of paper as ”a security”. Afterward, I was asked again by her if I would like breakfast or not, despite I selected the no breakfast option on booking.com. A moment later I was offered the POS terminal to pay by card, which stated an amount 30 euros higher that the price I booked the room for on this site. Due to the reoccurrence of the same, previous situation again, I refused to pay and respectfully asked her why the price was higher again. Mrs. Hauweld answered in a very disrespectful manner that I asked her to have breakfast included and that I was confusing her again. After that situation, I kindly asked them to speak with her supervisor. She answered, that she had no supervisor and was the only person working in the hotel for the whole weekend. That experience left me in complete disbelief of her professionality and her being in that important role in the hotel. However, despite that bad experience with that particular staff member, I would like to note that the other front desk managers were very friendly and helpful at all times.
