I’m glad that we chose Amane Gahama for our family vacation because it’s spacious and the private hot spring was awesome with both in and out door options. It’s a little inconvenient that breakfast was located in the sister hotel next door, but the hotel had arranged buggy for transport which the kids are happy about it.

We changed room type when we got to the hotel (from Seaside Maisonette to one of the Tower apartments) and this was seamlessly offered to us by the night staff. Service is top notch. Great for families. The food is wonderful and there is private onsen in every single room.
Highly recommend for families of up to 4 persons to stay in the tower apartments. They are very new and well furnished.

At the time of reservation, there were only rooms left in Gahama Tower and Wing Villa, so I reserved Wing Villa. I had good memories of staying at Seaside Maisonette in the past, so I expected other types of rooms to be a good experience as well. However, part of the air conditioner in the living room ceiling leaked, and the bath in the room was smaller than expected and the drainage was not good. The terrace was partially obscured by trees, so the sea view was partially obscured, and because there were camping vehicles parked nearby, I could not open the bedroom window blinds. The meal was great, but when I ordered a drink, I ordered a beer, and I was a little concerned that they served the most expensive beer without checking the menu.
