Hotel Brisa

Firstly, the location is great and value for money. Stayed for 5 nights in a suite with two bedrooms and one bathroom. The balcony was a good size. Per pictures expected bung beds and got an uncomfortable settee. The other beds were hard but paper thin walls with next door snoring and tv you could hear from next door. This hotel doesn’t cater for English, and we found the majority of the staff to be unhelpful and looked miserable. The bar staff were under pressure at nights and you struggled to get a drink. The day we left there was a very helpful lady on reception who organised a taxi for us. The food was ok, normal gripe that it’s not that warm but find that in Spain. They put on a Christmas Eve banquet which was very nice, maybe by charging more every day the food could be at that quantity. We found the entertainment wasn’t that great and it looked like the same two acts returned every week.

Definitely not a 4 star. Family of 4, children being 16 and 10. Rooms small and the bathroom has no air-conditioning so is very hot which adds to the crap air-conditioning in the main room. Food was OK for breakfast and there was plenty of options for dinner, even though it was not the nicest. Food was Luke warm and questionable pink meat. On day 5 of the holiday I started to vomit and diarrhea. This was none stop until I arrive home to belfast. My 16 year old daughter was also vomiting and had diarrhea. Once we got picked up for the airport we got chatting to another guest from the hotel who was also sick and she knew of at least 10 other quests who had also been sick. My husband ask reception to help with anti sickness tablets and was told they can't due to policy. I'm sure they also have a policy to keep food at a high standard so no one gets food poisoning. My daughter and myself were vomiting on the plane on the way home and had to contact our GP to get an anti sickness injection. My GP advised it was mostly likely food poisoning and as the incidents of sickness was told to reception, the hotel would of also been aware of guest vomiting. We will never do all inclusive again out if the fear of this happening again and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Some of the bar staff just got on like they couldn't be bothered working and laughing and speaking in there own language when I was ordering drinks, which made me feel uncomfortable. Please think again before staying here.

Fantastic hotel with a great central location . Reception staff super friendly in particular Amanda who helped us resolve an issue with our transfers . Pool area very busy and the usual stampede for sun-beds in the morning , but we always managed to get a bed somewhere . Pools are saltwater and there is a smaller splash pool suitable for kids , there is also a lovely terrace above the pool with more beds . The pool bar was great with seating available and prices were very reasonable with good stock of local and premium drinks . Bar staff were friendly and helpful. The tropical bar inside hotel was also good with friendly staff and same range of drinks, there was entertainment available in both areas throughout the day. The restaurant was very busy but large enough to accommodate the amount of diners. The food was excellent with plenty of choices , we had breakfast and dinner each day and there was plenty of choice and high quality . The hash browns were particularly good !!! There was often a long wait for the lifts but to be expected as hotel was very busy . The rooms were bright and spacious and well presented with a modern theme . There is a safe available for a small charge . Tea and coffee making facilities are available but if you want to refill this incurred a charge of 5 euros. There is plenty of storage and the bathroom is modern and spacious with a good powerful and large walk in shower. We had clean towels each day with room being cleaned daily also . Our room overlooked the main ***** and was next door to western saloon bar but once patio doors were closed we heard little noise. Hairdryer provided along with plenty of mirrors including full length and plenty of sockets available . Nice feature of mood lighting which had adjustable colours , air con worked well . Bed was very comfortable and large screen tv provided plenty of English Chanel’s , There are no irons in the room but available from reception on request subject to availability. The hotel is fully accessible and great for families .

I'll start with the good. First impressions; the hotel was very clean, quite modern and secure as you couldn't even use the reception toilets unless you had a room key. We had access to the pool and facilities straightaway even though our rooms weren't ready and you can hire a towel for a 10e deposit. The rooms were ready on time (3pm), clean & quite spacious. The shower was super powerful. The checkin was quick & easy with the polite & helpful staff. Venturing out into the world of Benidorm we quickly realised the hotel was perfectly located. Close enough but still quiet enough for a good night's sleep. The pool was a lovely temperature and there was always somewhere to sit or lie. Drinks in the bar reasonably priced too. On to the bad. The rooms keys kept having to be reset and the air-con in the room only just coped. Cleaner barely cleaned and little things like the tv remote not having batteries in and the shower, although powerful, was so low anyone over 5ft tall had to bend down to use it - slightly annoying but not a game-changer. What was really bad for us was the ummm level of hotel visitors... Most were ok but I can see why people complain and our weekend was almost completely ruined by a very angry Liverpool man who wanted to kill all southerners and threatened to slit our throats over Liz Truss being in charge. He only asked if we had a lighter and then went crazy. Clearly had issues. This was 5pm in the afternoon by the way. I would stay here again but avoid all other guests. Equally I would probably pay a bit more and hope for a 4 star hotel (and 4 star guests).

We had a great time. We have chosen an instance with breakfast and the truth is that it has been quite good.
