What a lovely stay. We visited to attend a funeral and the staff were so welcoming and warm. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were very clean and the food absolutely lovely. The village is so lovely and the hotel has character. We will be back

We received the warmest of welcomes from the lovely family that are running this hotel. Recently moved into the village and went for Sunday lunch after a glorious walk at Holy Island. The food was fab. Tasty, flavoursome, good portions in front of a a roaring fire it was utter bliss. Can’t wait to visit again.

We ate here for the first time since the kitchen reopened and food was being served again. Bearing in mind that all the staff are trying so hard to get this beautiful building up and running again to make it a lovely place to go for residents and visitors alike. Our experience of a family of six, including a three year old, was outstanding. The Sunday roast dinner was absolutely lovely and I have to say the roast potatoes were the best I think I have ever eaten. Plenty on our plates and even supplied a small plate for our three year old member followed by a small bowl of ice cream. Nothing was too much trouble for them, never ending jugs of gravy, sauces and whatever you needed. I hope the people of Belford give this hotel another chance under the management of Harvey and his parents. They are doing their best to make it fabulous again and it’s a lovely way to spend an evening. Would definitely recommend!

Needs a bit of remodeling Charming town to stay in for a trip to Bamburgh castle. Old hotel so some quirks to be expected. It was a picturesque view from our hotel room and our beds were comfortable and clean However, toilet didn’t flush reliably and shower was not functioning. Glasses by the kettle were grimy and there were several spiders taking up residence in the bathroom. The food was very good and the women running it was lovely and clearly doing everything herself.

Blue Bell An elderly Coaching Inn - which, sadly, is starting to show it's age. Staffing levels do not seem to be adequate; there are known problems with the hot water supply and the meal menu was limited. Nevertheless, the room was quiet and comfortable enough and the hotel is very well situated for visiting the coast and numerous local attractions such as Bamburgh Castle. Useful bus services to Berwick, Bambugh and Newcastle.

Lovely night spent at the bluebell hotel. Comfy bed so had a great night's sleep. Staff very warm and welcoming and gave advice on where to eat as the kitchen was closed. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely return

Great stay at the Blue Bell Hotel - extremely attentive staff and comfortable rooms. Family was spread across three rooms that were clean and comfortable. Also they went above and beyond in their hospitality especially with the continental breakfast despite the kitchen being renovated due to a recent fire. I also really liked the cosy attached pub and good amount of parking right out front!

The building is old but in a good shape, interior of the hotel is so aesthetic and full of historical pictures and vintage things. Backyard is full of rabbits and flowers, in spring it must be beautiful place to have breakfast there. Room was cozy, warm and clean. All personal are so cheerful and kind, so attentive to every need we had. We would definitely recommend to stay here for a few days to enjoy delicious breakfast, nice beer and friendly atmosphere.
