Stayed at Hampton for 3 days and overall was a good experience. The hotel was nice and clean with friendly staff. Bed was comfortable.
Good quality shampoo, conditioner, body and hand wash was available.
The hotel is very conveniently located in which you could walk 2 minutes round the back to the Europa bus station. Everything and everywhere were very accessible with lots of restaurants and bars towards Queen’s University.
Breakfast was reasonable in which you had a good amount of choice but unlike some hotels where there would be greater selection but for me it was sufficient. I did however witness some very unpleasant antics from some people staying at the hotel in which they seem to have no hygiene standards with the food.
Overall it was a good experience at the hotel and Belfast was a fantastic city to visit. The city exceeded my expectations as it was very clean and friendly with a extremely chilled atmosphere.

We stayed here for the weekend of our wedding anniversary and it was a lovely hotel. From the minute we set foot at reception, we found the staff to be efficient and friendly. The hotel has a nice bar area too and its about a 2 minute walk from all the attractions of the cathedral quarter. The standard room was great. It was Clean, modern and quiet. All the usual hotel things like tv, en-suite (which again was clean and the shower was great). Our room was at the back of the hotel and while not a fantastic view, it was nice to see the H&W cranes in the distance and despite a busy road outside and a railway line, the noise was minimal. Breakfast was nice although the only option for the eggs were scrambled, however im sure if I'd asked they'd have done me a poached or fried egg. Its a buffet style breakfast and if I have only one criticism, its that it wasnt topped up as well as it could be. The staples like bacon etc were topped up, but pastries and the continental selection were kind of sp**** and not topped up each morning we were there. That aside, there was plenty to eat and drink and a nice touch is the takeout cups. It meant I could take a coffee on my travels which is great and saves a few quid from the coffee shops etc. I look forward to returning to the Ramada again as it was a lovely experience. Thank you also for the voucher for a glass of wine free for my wife and I because it was our anniversary. That was a lovely touch.

I just spent two nights at ETAP Belfast and I can’t say anything bad about it! Though the rooms are small, it’s fair for the price! What is the best in this hotel is the staff! Always cheerful and keen to help, really professional! Especially Nathan, the receptionist that was working when I arrived! So polite and always making small talk which is very good and makes us feel comfortable. He is the cherry on top of the cake, if there’s any chance make sure he knows about it! He made my 3 day holiday worth it. Thank you Nathan 😍

Been staying in Hilton in Belfast for couple days, I really liked hotel, lovely staff, nice food , nice rooms, the only thing I really didn’t liked, how rooms is being cleaned during your stay, if you can even say they are clean because seems that staff only empty bins and change towels and that’s it, during 4 days nothing else was cleaned, dusts wasn’t cleaned, bathroom wasn’t washed even thought it was dirty , toothpaste in sink and hairs on the floor, shower glass dirty, bathroom dirty , staff that supposed to clean it but just left it like that, didn’t even hoovered bathroom floors. I never been in hotel with such a bad housekeeping. This is really a shame because everything else about hotel I really loved.

Arrived in a taxi from the airport and Checked in around 3pm. The reception staff were very alert to guest arriving from the front door. Jennifer at reception checked me in very efficiently, advised me of the breakfast times and asked if I would like to book a slot. Shortly afterwards gave me an information sheet and I was off to my room. The Room I was in was the standard king with city view. The room was bigger than expected. It had everything you need. A king bed, a large tv, enough space to put my belongings, a spacious 3 piece toilet with amenities and floor to ceiling windows which had view as far as the hills beyond. We had dinner that night at the hotel restaurant called Novelli at city quays. A separate review is on their trip advisor page. That night we ended up in the bar after going out exploring. I decided to have some gin and asked what they recommended. One of the nice bartender advised the short cross gin which I never tried and is now becoming one of my favourites. Am sorry I never caught your name. But Paul who was also working that night rang it through the till should know who you are. Paul was great too, he was kept very busy that night. Everyone was great. Special mention to Mary who remembered what I drank when I asked for another. Morning came and so did breakfast. There was a large variety of hot and cold food. From sausages, bacon and eggs, to toast, cheese and ham. Also plenty of tea, coffee and juices to choose from. Next time I come back I will make sure I book an upgraded room with a view of the river. Overall a fantastic night that couldn’t be faulted. Well recommend.

I booked through *********** for one night as I was attending a football match. I picked this location as I was near the stadium and I had tried other parts of the City previously. I should have stuck with my previous hotel. The room was extremely hot even though it wasn’t in full sun. I was put in room 10 which is at the top of the building in what looks like a converted loft in the roof space. It was 2.30pm when I checked in. I had not been sent the previously notified email with the door entry code and room entry code. It is all done this way as it is supposed to be a self service booking in process. That failed. On arrival at the door having received no entry instruction I called the number on a sign outside. I got no reply. A man then arrived with his child asking was I booking in and he took me through the process. He directed me to room 10 which is on the fourth floor. No lift. At 3.30pm I reported my concerns about the stifling heat in the room to the staff though their whattsapp number. No response for a while and then they said they would send up housekeeping which was the same man who booked me in. I explained the heat was unbearable and concerned for how it would be at night. I also said that when I opened the window the traffic noise was unbearable. He said they were full and there was nothing he could do. Only suggested putting on a plug in fan. I reported back through whattsapp to say that I wasn’t happy and what else could be done. I had a broken telephone call via whattsapp with Niamh who was a bit sarcastic and unhelpful and didn’t offer any solution and basically said they are a city enter hotel so what did I expect. It was rush hour and traffic would die down (which it didn’t). I asked to escalate the complaint. I had a call from Christine Warren who was also unsympathetic, said it was unprecedented weather for Belfast but failed to recognise my concern and that it was cooler outside than in the room. She said all of their other rooms (75) in the city were booked but I could check out if I wanted and find another hotel. Difficult in the timeframe as it was now 5pm and I was off to the match. She also commented “what do you expect for the money you paid” (£85). I asked if she would offer a reduction but this was refused. I felt I had no alternative. When I returned to the room at 10.15pm having left the window open and the fan on, it was no different. I didn’t sleep all night. Aesthetically this location looks good but the lower rated scores here do tell a story of less than luxury and consistent poor staff and management attitude when you raise a concern. The rooms are tiny and definitely not luxury. Towels were thin, dust in the bedside locker and walls paper thin which was also reported. Breakfast was adequate but only cereals, coffee toast and some basic looking cheese and ham with a few stale croissants. A chain I will be avoiding in the future.

Very quiet place, a little distance from the city by car, it's a bit like a family hotel. We were too lazy to move the boxes when we stayed on the 3rd floor, so we just put them in the car and took the toiletries upstairs. This was a bit inconvenient. It was also inconvenient to switch between hot and cold water.

The room I stayed in was a business-style suite facing the main road. It was big and comfortable with a nice bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. There is free, covered parking at the back which was useful.
The windows opened which was good as it was dry and hot in the room. I could not get the TV to work other than BBC World although eventually I managed to tweak the box and get it to work. The room furnishing was incredibly dark (wallpaper, curtains and light covers were all in dark material). I had to ask the reception to replace a broken bulb in one of the ceiling lights and the bedsit lights were so dark it was impossible to read by them.
The cleaning of the room was a bit hit or miss and there were cigarette butts permanently stuck out of the external butt holder right by the front door. The housekeeper did pop by and apologise. The staff at reception were helpful and pleasant and when prompted sorted out the necessary issues.

Excellent service from.the staff. Room is large, modern, well furnished, absolutely brilliant.
Bathroom is great too.
Only negative is the pool area, too busy, the shower there is freezing cold and the pool water is also quite cold to be enjoyed. Both saunas were always full during my visits.

GGuest UserWe stayed here after our wedding for 3 nights and it was lovely! Amazig service from all of the staff we didnt want to leave the hotel bar!! Its also very central and we were able to explore the city very easily on foot. Hotel was generally quiet although being in the centre you can hear the noise of traffic but it wasnt loud and we were able to sleep fine everynight, air con is really good too! Would definitely book again, maybe for a few more nights!
GGuest UserWe arrived late on Friday - around 10pm - and was very tired so disappointed to discover the volume of music being played in the foyer/bar area. However, we checked in with ease and given a little paper bag with tea bags, coffee and milk. There are 4 floors and our room was on floor 3. The room was certainly small as the elevator shaft essentially took up a big chunk of our room. This unfortunately meant that any time someone used the elevator, we heard the pings and the comedy Belfast voice they play when you get to a floor.
I called reception and asked when the music was played until - and I was told 1pm. Shame as we wanted to sleep and its all we could hear - and feel. The bass was that powerful that you could feel it 3 floors up!
Don't get me wrong - it's a cracking hotel in a great spot - but don't stay here if you want to get a good nights sleep. It's a party hotel really.
The service was great and the staff were lovely. Breakfast options were great and the pastries were delicious.
YYuThe hotel is beautiful, with a sense of history, Titanic theme, service is not bad. It is suitable for taking pictures, even checkin male waiters, wearing a lot of Jack. There are many photos of the year in the building, and the manuscripts are very traversing, suitable for Titanic movies and history lovers! Recommend not far from the dot coffee, you can feel socialism when you enterprising, you must pay, and add color to the Chinese. The disadvantage is: because of the historical building, the bath water is small, the room is not big.
GGuest UserThe apartment is big enough. All things are ok. Free underground parking is provided and it’s very convenient to go to the apartment directly via the lift. The staff are helpful. The pan is scratched and they immediately provided the new one. Tesco superstore is just next to the door, very convenient for shopping food. Very good for family trip when you want to cook for yourself.
JjamesHotel was nice and clean. A little on the expensive side for drinks. Breakfast was average and a expensive for the quality. The hotel restaurant ( la scala) was a whole different level. Food was amazing. Especially the lamb shank. My wife had the chicken which was done to perfection. If you are going for a quiet trip then this hotel might be for you. If you are going as part of a trip to Belfast City then it's very far out from the city. About 20 pounds in each direction.
WWolverine154First, the no-front desk touch screen check-in was beyond brutal. You have to type in EVERYTHING (and what they want is WAY over the top) one letter/# at a time w/your finger-whole process took me about 20 mins. Ridiculous. I think management realizes that-hence why they have a mini-fridge stocked w/gratis microbrews just inside the entry to keep guests from blowing their lids. My room was far, far away from any possible noise from the bar on the 2nd floor. Room, bed & bathroom were huge, modern & well appointed. Very quiet. Only issue was the fact that the wifi, like pretty much all of the other 7 properties I stayed at during my 3 weeks in the UK, was pretty pokey-around 10 mbps which barely allows for streaming youtube. Also, they need to provide mini-fridges. Yes, I know, Brits & most of the rest of Europe have no idea what they are just like that strange type of water called ice. My rating would be 4 stars but in the course of about 2 nights/3 partial days I got way more than a sixer of brews (I have never seen this perk anywhere in the world & I respect it deeply as a former homebrewer) so this add on made it 5 stars stay.
GGuest UserVery disappointed with the horrible customer service received at this hotel. Firstly you can’t charge nothing to your room without a card being presented at check in! So far nothing extremely awkward as I travel around the world and with the exception of the hotel chains that I have membership, inhame been asked before to present a credit card to be inserted in the hotel system as a guarantee. The awkwardness start when the receptionist start asking how much you want to put in ?? It seemed more to be on a top up shop than in a hotel! So as I am staying just a couple of nights (already payed for) and being caught by surprise I asked for a 100£ credit to the room, payment went trough etc, got to the bar and was told that I had to pay there for the drinks to which I responded that I had just put a credit in and for the bartender to verify, “computer says nooo” like type of answer, he then called reception, followed by same type of operation with computer still saying nooo. A girl who seemed to be the bar manager, absolutely didn’t bother to come and get involved in order to excuse the hotel for whatever mistake was happening, I ended up paying for the drinks with my card even with a credit of 100£ Worse than this: Breakfast today, received by the restaurant manager who requested my room number, with little to no sympathy at all with a shut face very poor wording took note of room Nr and asked me to wait at the bar area as she needed to prepare a table for me, which was fine. Minutes later a young waitress came and call me for a table already settled. She inform me of the buffet and I request a menu as I’ve dietary demands and knew what I wanted actually. I stated that i wanted to poached eggs on brown bread toast with either smoked salmon or avocado or even a bit of salad. The girl asked me to wait a bit and went to the restaurant manager to ask. I was flabbergasted by the answer of the terrible, horrible and rude creature that is breakfast room manager at this hotel. “ my manger says that we would do the 2 poached eggs, but we don’t have salmon, avocado nor salad” ??? You can do your own toast at the buffet Which I did of course alternative was going and eat out! Coffee machine broken, but mysteriously repair itself after a lot of customers complaint (specially because everyone could see another operational coffee machine at the bar. I think they’re understaffed as I could see the bartender from last night which I saw closing the bar at 23h40, and was there already today at 8h30am ? Staff must be shattered with workload but, they either choose to move (there’s a lot of job offer in the sector) or they take the risk of being frustrated and being rude with customers who keep the hotel running. This besides my colleagues in upper floors being abruptly waked up at 6ish am with construction work on the roof, and when called reception were told “yeah it’s some repairs in the roof and we don’t know until when it’d last” Unbelievable!!! On a positive no
Ssgausden1980Really good B&B on the edge of Belfast which is close to shopping centres and the motorway. The rooms are spotless, large and comfortable. The on site kitchen is an excellent addition with some items available all day long on a help-yourself basis. Quiet and peaceful, great WiFi and a fantastic host in Vivian. Will definitely be returning soon!
GGuest UserApartments were lovely but will never ever go again checked out 7 days ago still haven’t gotten my deposit back, I was not told about the deposit until I was checking in, I was told it was a preauthorisation and would get it a few days after I checked out upon checking out I was told it would be 2 weeks (by a different person) 7 days later no refund it’s January and bills have to be paid so I am not happy! I was also told I had to pay for parking upon check in again nothing on the website about this. A disgrace trying to get money out of people after they have already paid for their trip. Might I also add I emailed regarding the deposit 4 days ago And no one in dream apartments bothered to reply to my email I understand in retail it’s busy but 4 days later no reply what a joke I will never recommend this place to stay ever to anyone
Originally booked Obel 64 on Belfasts riverside for a short stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. Had our transport, restaurants and itinerary for our trip all pre planned and most of it pre booked prior to arriving only to have a message late the night before travelling to tell us they moved our reservation to another location due to ”unforseen circumstances” no other explanation. St Thomas Hall was the opposite side of the city centre to where we should have been staying and there was apparently no other options for relocating us and it was also non refundable. I therefore spent the night prior to travelling, rather than getting a good night sleep, cancelling/amending all our travel arrangements for the whole trip, and reorganising our restaurants and itinerary. Although they upgraded our room to include an extra bedroom, I ended up spending much more money because of the additional transport and cancellation/amendment fees. The good bits - reception staff I spoke to to get key code was friendly and polite, accessing the apartment was easy, the apartment itself was spacious, modern and clean. I had organised a birthday package on arrival for extra which included prosecco, a cake, balloons and banners which was very nicely done 👍, the beds and sofas were comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen had everything we needed, there were some take away and sit in food establishments nearby including a mini coop, regular buses to city centre from bus stop just down from apartment. The not so good bits - no longer had the river view or the main attractions within a reasonable walking distance for my 9 year old son (which were the whole reason I booked Obel 64), ALL the internal doors were so loud/squeaky and no door stoppers provided to prop them open which was not so good through the night, there were only 2 pillows provided per double bed and may as well not have had any as they were so flat and thin, one of the bedroom door handles was loose and threatening to fall off, as the property is on a main road there was so much loud traffic right into the early hours and the windows didn't do much to dampen the noise (should have brought my ear plugs). Overall experience was very mixed. The apartment itself was comfortable enough and served the needs we had for our short stay, however, it's absolutely not the property or location I would have booked for our particular stay and having read other reviews it seems to be a regular thing which is very worrying and it was a very stressful experience. On that basis I'd be wary booking again.
