Fabulous stay. The welcome we received was out of this world and set the tone for the next two nights. Yes the drinks are expensive but it matches the ambience and the drama of it all. Actually can't wait to go again. Could easily spend the entire time in the hotel.

We had an absolute fabulous night. The hotel and restaurant were beautiful. Our food was delicious and beautifully presented. All the staff were attentive and professional. We’d been looking forward to the evening for quite some time and it was beyond our expectations.

One of my favourite places to visit for a meal or a drink. The decor is luxurious, seating comfortable and the staff are attentive and pleasant. However I have just one small complaint, my Pina Colada cocktail was not as delicious as usual . There was too much ice and it tasted bitter, very disappointing. I wonder if they have they changed the recipe? Otherwise it was the usual enjoyable experience .

We popped in on a recommendation just to have a look at the décor, and I must say it was stunning inside, it was a shame we didn't have enough time to stay for a drink, because it had a really nice atmosphere. We will defiantly go back back for a drink one day.

We had a wonderful night in the Merchant Hotel on Saturday night. The welcome was professional and very friendly. The room was superb and the entertainment in Berts Bar was first class. A particular shout out to Samuel the excellent bar tender in Berts. He epitomised all that is good in the hospitality industry and he is a credit to the hotel.

This is hands down the best hotel experience I have ever had. I ordered breakfast to the room and it was such a treat. The room was huge, it’s on second floor so had the tall ceilings z is highly recommend the art deco rooms . The staff are amazing. I couldn’t recommend highly enough. I can’t wait to come back.

Huge rooms great service and perfect location breakfast was fabulous , recommend the merchant for special stay. Enjoyed roof top jacuzzi and the cocktail bar. Handy for bars and attractions , beautiful decor and sumptuous beds and bedding.

Our room was spotlessly clean and huge. There is a large comfortable bed, a large settee and a very large bathroom with a bath and a huge walk in shower. There is a walk in dressing area, if there was anything to improve then it would be the number of hangers provided, a few more would help. The dining room is stunning and has to be seen to be believed, the breakfast is excellent and cooked to order. All the staff were friendly and helpful. A definite stay if in Belfast.
