"For a birthday treat we spent the weekend at Belmont and used it as our base to wine and dine our way through Beechworth. Belmont was the perfect spot to rest and recover after a great pub meal at Tanswells Hotel, pizza and some craft beers at Bridge Road Brewers, and the highlight of the weekend - the degustation dinner at Provenance Restaurant. The comfy bed and big bath at Belmont felt like the perfect luxury space to recharge, ready for another meal. Thank you for a great stay!"

"This is a very comfortable hotel situated in beautiful parkland. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the shower with its large diameter shower head that makes for a good shower. What spoilt my stay was the occupants in the room next to mine returned late at night and had their TV at such a loud volume that it was like being in a cinema. The walls between the rooms have no sound proofing."

"Actually nothing wrong with the place. Bathrooms were clean, bed was comfortable and location was great. Obviously bikes can’t be kept in the room, I don’t have a problem with this in any way. There was a secure bike shed available, but given the site was self checkin no one had any idea how to access the shed. Quite poor given the bikes had to be kept in our cars overnight! WiFi was horrible, mobile reception poor, room was 2m x 4m and just a bed. Breakfast was cereal, toast & coffee. There was no milk for cereal or coffee. It was interesting for one night but I’ll go elsewhere in future."

"Had an overnight stay here in a triple room last week. This is a great motel, lovely spotlessly clean newly renovated rooms with quality linen and furnishings. Check in and out is easy, parking right outside your room, short walk/drive into the town centre. We slept so well here. Highly recommended."

"I had a really wonderful time in the great location of Beechworth.  From Beechworth I drove to other great points of interest namely Yackandandah and Bright. I walked along the Canyon Walk in Bright, followed along the Beechworth Gorge and the Woolshed Falls.  The Sambell Lake had a very good walking track around it. Both Beechworth and Yackandandah had great shops and eateries. The Armour Motor Inn was very central for my 3 day stay and the host was very helpful."

"Per the photos, superbly renovated and fully stocked. Very short walk to the middle of town, but in a very quiet street. Perfect base for one or two couples. Rooms are enormous, and the individual bathrooms even larger (Almost comically so, but did appreciate watching the afternoon news from the bath). The little things like bedside chocolates and port show the owners have thought of everything."

"I’m a solo traveler on my motorbike. This accomodation was more than adequate for my needs. Comfy bed and warm shower.bit I felt I was part of the next door neighbours conversation as the walls seemed very thin and unable to keep any noise down from the other side. The drinks were cold,but the restaurant was closed for a private function the night I stayed so no review for the food side of things. So yes,the stay could have been more enjoyable but it’s a good option if you do choose to stay there."

"This hotel is rather gothic and has a certain kind of charm. It is a few minutes walk from the centre of town and a variety of cafes and restaurants. Don't expect anything fancy. Our upstairs room was very sparse and basic. No cupboards (or anyhting to hang your clothes on or TV, kettle or a fridge. The room was very small and contained one double bed and a bunkbed (it would have been very crowded if we had had 2 more people in the room!) and one powerpoint. However the Wifi was very good. Shared bathrooms are down a very long hallway which I found very spooky at night. There is a large kitchen area in the basement with a microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle and where you can help yourself to a basic breakfast of cereal, toast and tea. There are a lot of stairs and they are very steep. So if you have any mobility issues or are elderly I would recommend booking a downstairs room. There was no airconditioning. Just a fan in our room. So luckily the weather wasn't too hot during our visit! I can imagine that it would be freezing during the winter months. I can't comment on the management because we never saw them: our keys were left to be collected on a sideboard in an envelope with our names written on them in the foyer entrance. Overall we enjoyed our three day stay at this hotel. But considering the price of the room they could do a few upgrades and renovations!"

"Made a last minute booking for days. Cottage was fantastic - very spacious with a wide verandah to sit on and enjoy the warm evenings. The cottages are clean and equiped very thoughtfully - from the provision of DVDs to mossie repelling candles. Kitchen is very functional and there is a great BBQ. Bed was very comfortable and was dressed in nice linen. Bathroom and spa bath excellent and a fully equiped laundry. The cottages are set within beautiful gardens which ensures a quiet environment and privacy."

"We stayed two nights at this gem and from the moment we were greeted by Heidi we felt at home. Heidi immediately upgraded us to a superior room with no stairs – next to the amazing pool and courtyard - as my wife is pregnant and from there it was perfect. This set the scene for the perfect stay! We were looking for a relaxing getaway and this place provides everything you need. The accommodation is so good you feel like you are in a Mexican mansion, the marble tiles are amazing, the bathroom and beds are just spacious and comfortable, you will treat the place like home and it is spotless. Plenty of room and the common rooms are fantastic too. The attention to detail in the renovation of this hotel is amazing The accommodation is on the main st and a close walk to all the restaurants and Heidi will provide recommendations for dinner and places to go. Detailed guidance is provided in advance so you can make bookings which may be essential in busier times. The breakfast is insanely good, you order ahead and it is immaculate and delicious and no cost is spared by Heidi believe me. The attention to detail is amazing. On arrival you will have a cake – which is so good! Make sure you leave room for dinner. The cake is the best you will ever have. We loved our stay, we were seeking a relaxing and comfortable short term break and that what Heidi and Freeman on Ford provided. It’s a 10 out of 10 and we will be back! Oh and thank you for the amazing chocolates. Thank you Heidi – From Ivan and Zhongni"
