Made reservation for wife due to family emergency. Traveling from KCMO to Beaumont, Tx with her brothers. It's 12+ hour drive. Left around 5 pm. Told agent situation. They would be arriving sometime after 4 am. Check-in is 3 pm on 9/3. I would pay for rooms from 9/3 to 9/6. Making sure rooms were set. Was told no problem. Will put in notes, On arrival, that reservation was cancelled without our knowledge, Luckily, she was able to get two rooms, but opposite ends of hotel, this after wife broke down in tears. Then they charged her a higher rate then what I was given and paid for on my credit card. Then on check out, charged her cancellation fees for 9/3, which was explained at time of reservations. They said, they don't have a man at front desk. Which I understand, since when I called that location's phone number, some how I was sent to a different location. Once I realized that this was not the Beaumont, TX location, SAL said no problem, I can make any reservation needed to any of our properties. So, I guess, there is no identifier to what agent you dealt with, (strange though). So you can't track down what agent who made the reservation. I was told all this crucial info like arrival time was suppose to have been placed in the "NOTES", but nothing. For the rest of the stay, one room did not have any towels. And the comp. breakfast at 7 am , well was cold and not good. The response from the front desk was basically, oh well. We don't have any notes, nor do we show where you called to complain about room condition.
