Master Builder's House Hotel

We enjoyed our previous stay in May so much that we had to return. This time we stayed in room 22 (Husar) - One of the Riverview rooms in the main hotel and what a fabulous room it was. Very spacious, well equipped (including a fridge), extremely comfortable bed and views to die for. We stayed again for 5 nights and dined in Henry's with our two dogs every evening. The food was absolutely superb every night. Breakfast is delicious and with plenty of choice and the staff are all so welcoming, attentive and friendly. We were expecting bad weather but we actually had very good weather and managed to walk to Beaulieu on two separate days. This is a really fabulous walk following the river and we would thoroughly recommend this to other guests. We also spent a day at Exbury Gardens again and on another day we walked all around Lepe Country Park and right along Lepe Beach to Stanswood Bay where there are the remains of buildings used for D Day. The dogs loved running along the beach on the way there. A truly dog friendly hotel where they supply dog beds and treats - we bought both our dogs beds with us but they preferred to sleep in the ones supplied by the hotel! We found the hotel so relaxing and spent many hours just watching the world go by from the hotel gardens, terrace, lounge and from our room window - absolute bliss! This really is the most wonderful and relaxing place to stay and we will be returning again and again.

A fascinating property with both modern and historical aspects.The location is perfect ,the hotel accommodation was excellent.The staff polite and very helpful (Special mention to the lady heading up the restaurant who was very accommodating.)We enjoyed every aspect of this break.

The whole experience was amazing and the staff were welcoming, even the dog had a bed ,bowl and welcome hamper. The staff couldn't of done anything more to make the experience more comfortable. Highly recommend and looking forward to going there again. Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone we met and interacted with.

Had an amazing stay for my husband’s birthday. The room was beautiful and service exceptional. Thank you Daisy for looking after us very attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend such a lovely place with lovely staff . Will definitely be revisiting

Called here for lunch with family after our dog walk, great location however the service was not good, had to remind the waitress as she had forgotten the potatoes and the mayonnaise to go with my sons fish cake which did seem to be lacking fish.

The location is beautiful and Henry's bar is fine. However we dined in the restaurant and whilst the food was adequate , small portions. the service was poor. This was mainly due to the lack of staff and the staff available were clearly very stretched with limited experince.

Friendly pleasant staff. Our room was quite small but comfortable for just one night. Unfortunately our lunch order in the pub was forgotten and took over 40 mins to serve a light snack. However the restaurant evening menu was excellent along with great service.

Great location the Hotel is amazing we were treated like royalty by all the staff. The food was excellent and our room overlooking the river was just perfect. All the little treats from the hotel we received were really appreciated. We will visit again with any hesitation.

Could not fault this hotel and location. Amazing history and stunning scenery all carefully brought together with this hotel in the middle. From arrival to departure we felt looked after by the hotel and all of its staff. Time definitely stood still and we enjoyed all that was on offer .... the walk to Beauliue and back, a boat trip (even got to see the seal!) and Bucklers Hard itself. Perfect!
