Raelly happy with everything Verry friendly host well organized it was tidy and everything worked it was quite and the pool was amazing

i will definately book it again.... the host was very very friendly, the rooms are well fitted with the aircon which was a bonus....location is superb

Good value for money. The aircon and swimming pool were a life saver on a very hot day. We used this as a stop over between Jhb and Cpt.

We enjoyed our stay at Holzapfel, the property was clean, safe and well organized. The owner even arranged for our late check-in.

We booked Haus Holzapfel based on a previous experience. The week before check-in, we realised that the booking was at a different venue to what we originally thought, when I called to confirm details. I was assured that the place we had booked was just as good and had all the facilities we needed. On arrival, we unpacked and noticed that the TV downstairs was not working - the remote control did not work and the TV did not have manual buttons. We then checked upstairs and noticed no remotes for the spare room, and the remote for the main bedroom did not work downstairs. We notified the owners and were told the previous tenants had taken the upstairs remote and that could not be replaced on a Saturday afternoon. When I queried the downstairs remote not working and possibly needing batteries, I was told it had been working that morning. I then invited the owner to come to the house and check for themselves but was completely ignored and all communication then ceased. We had to huddle in the upstairs room to enjoy some down time after a long trip - disappointing to say the least. A few other points: The bedside lamp did not work as it kept falling out of the plug provided The freezer would not close as it had been left open at some point and frosted to the extent that ice had formed The braai racks were rusted and broken, and the top rack kept falling into the coals. The outdoor area is sparce and unpleasant and we did not, as a family, feel secure in the space.

Check-in was very well presented and polite with brief description for the room and everything. Very impressed with the service and stay was great.
