The Dutchess Inn and Spa at Beacon

Among the worst travel experiences this year. Went for a wedding. The main inn is cozy and warm. BAD NEWS there's only a few rooms there. Instead you'll stay in a soul-sucking room that has no A/C, no quiet, no peace, NOTHING that looks like the main house. If you have a hard time with your alarm clock NO WORRIES garbage trucks start on at 5am and then again at 6am WEEKENDS. Management is RUDE and disinterested, taking no responsibility for the rooms, noise, uncorking a/c. We checked out after one night and got charged for two.

The location is good. The staff friendly. The room was large and nice. However, the room was uncomfortably warm. We asked if temp could be dropped but we didn’t notice a difference. At one point my husband propped our door open to let cool air in because the hallway was much cooler. It would be nice if the hotel had water or soda available to purchase as well.

we stayed in the factory which is a new boutique type hotel attached to the spa. we stayed in the disco themed room. in summary if you’re going to spend a night or weekend in beacon this is a great choice. great location on main St staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. any reviewers who criticized service need to look in the mirror the disco themed room was very well done and it was a fun spin on a regular: if there one criticism it’s that the way the room is designed is really fun (hanging chair, platform bed) but the added fun = sacrificed comfort. there’s no where to sit, the platform bed was comfortable but a tight squeeze in and out. so if you’re staying more than one night i’d pick a larger more well furnished room. there’s great outdoor spaces in the first floor to sit outside. i cannot comment on the spa itself as we didn’t use the facilities. if you go hear a nice place with a good vibe to have a cocktail is called the vinyl room. we were a bit older than the crowd but it was fun.

Loved Beacon and loved the location of this small boutique hotel. I stayed in the new annex and my room was outstanding. The decor was super stylish, bed incredibly comfortable and every aspect of it felt like a real treat. The staff were welcoming and helpful and I'd definitely recommend staying in the new annex.

What a lovely weekend at the Dutchess Inn & Spa. My husband and I checked in on a Friday and left on Sunday. We were greeted by the wonderful Megan who graciously showed us around before our massages. Leading up to the trip, she also helped me via telephone strategize massage & hydrotherapy bookings. Our massages with Ynez were very therapeutic and relaxing — the hydrotherapy was the perfect way to decompress. We had the absolute of privilege of staying in the Bailee Suite, which was as clean, comfy and cool as they come. Special shout out to Jessica & Lily at the front who are a delight. The location is perfect! We were walking distance to everything. (Not to mention the solarium and rooftop with a view of the whole town). Thanks to Bethany for curating an impeccable spot with tons of personality, unique touches and extreme comfort. We will be back!

I was fortunate enough to book an appointment for a facial with Leslie right after the busy holiday weekend. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by Leslie and felt comfortable immediately. Stepping into the spa room was an experience for all the senses. It was beautiful, comfortable and smelled incredible. Leslie was intuitive to my needs and gave me one of the best facials I’ve had. It provided the relaxing escape I was looking for.

This Inn is beautiful!! The service is great and they are pet friendly! They truly are pet friendly! We brought our kitty brothers who love traveling with us and we had an awesome time!!The grounds are beautiful and the spa is to die for!! We loved, loved loved our couples massage and the hydrotherapy bath! The rooftop area is gorgeous!! We think it’s a hidden gem! It is very conveniently located too right in town! We love it! We will be back!

Recently had the pleasure of two stays at the Dutchess Inn and Spa. Bethany, the owner, was personally available when I had a question, and because it’s a small boutique hotel, they have a system to accommodate guests in case the staff are assisting other guests and have had to step away from the desk: a phone number is available that links directly to a staff member. It’s a quaint and extremely convenient spot from which to explore Beacon. Rooms are all different and eclectically decorated with vintage pieces and artistic touches. Altogether a unique experience that felt like a community and luxury hotel in one.

The same day I booked a weekend stay (at full price) I found out my partner had a death in the family. I called the hotel shortly thereafter to ask if I could reschedule. I did not ask for a refund, just a credit for a future stay. Ultimately, I was told that are no 'changes under any circumstances.' To receive such a response, at any time, is a hard pill to swallow. Where is the compassion? The response is extremely apathetic and screams of greed. This is the last thing I need to be thinking about during a difficult time. It is my hope that the $700+ you collected is put to use on a course that teaches management how to be kind human beings. Be better.
