"This hotel from the starters fantastic! Awesome customer service and very friendly and helpful! Nothing was to much trouble also gave great recommendations on were to eat and go! Rooms were spotless although on the smaller sideburns enough space for 2 people and having the balcony was a great addition. Breakfast was not a massive variety but what they had was excellent. Location was right in the middle of Chaweng and could not have been a more central location. Would definitely recommend The Stay to any body! Also great view just to chill and have a smoke overlooking the ocean"

"Nice and clean, comfy bungalows with modern styling bathroom with bathtub, sink and toilet with peekaboo windows from room, and outdoor shower with rack for hanging wet towels and swimming wear. Nice terrace with table and chairs to sit outside and enjoy fresh morning air, and lovely evenings. The staff is very friendly and the ladies in the restaurant were very gracious. The 3 tiered pools were lovely with gorgeous view. The middle one needed some cleaning of leaves that blew down from the wind. The hot water filled only half the tub, but after waiting 15min the water heater was able to fill up the rest of the tub, which was enjoyable and worth the extra effort. Good value and comfortable."

"Best offer money can buy for that amount! If you expect smthng super cozy or luxurious or new - its not your choice. Tops and 7/11 are in a walking distance of 5 to 7 mins."

"We really enjoyed our stay at White sands. It seemed really good value for money. We stayed 11 nights with our family. We had three basic rooms. The rooms were really spacious and even had a glimpse of the sea from the balcony with a nice green view.
We enjoyed the beach, though a couple of days the waves were too big to enter, but overall this part of the beach is not crowded and great for swimming, as it’s not too shallow, like Choengmon, which is more suitable for little kids and a little more crowded.
The pool was also great with kids and for wavy days.
Walking distance there is a neat view point and grandma-grandpa rocks, which are an attraction here.
The restaurant service was sometimes extremely slow, however once in a while it’s nice to have the option of eating decently and not having to go anywhere far.
Some things in the hotel might need a touch of maintenance, like the ACs - they’re a little old and noisy and blow strong right on the beds.
We didn’t opt for the breakfast, bought once or twice on the spot, to keep our options open as there are pretty nice places around with bagels, pancakes or omelettes.
The road, as mentioned in some previous comments didn’t bother us at all. It takes a couple minutes to walk to the main road with 7-eleven, fruit spot with amazing papaya and mango, pharmacies.
Limaya Garden cafe is a little hidden gem of a cafe on the way to view point.
Overall, the hotel was great for a relaxing vacation, seems like it has a lot of potential, hope it thrives!"

"We were three couples over 50.
We were in villas with garden views.What an awesome place to stay, it was perfect! Right on the beach. Our room was cleaned and fresh towels provided every day. All the staff @ reception, the restaurant and on the beach were always helpful and friendly, they go above and beyond to make your stay an unforgettable one! Special thanks to Zaw and Yelly, you are both amazing! The breakfast was great every morning, compliments to the chef for awesome Thai dishes, yes, I actually had curry for breakfast! I just couldn't resist! There were also plenty of other choises, omelettes and eggs cooked fresh to taste, cereal, different breads, fresh fruit, yoghurt, something for every taste!
The swim up bar was a great bonus, we got fantastic cocktails and service from Hanlay, try the cocktail served in a fresh pineapple, highly recommended 👌
The grounds and beach are kept very clean and the tropical peacefulness is a welcome relieve if you return from shopping or eating in the busy road right at the front(heaps of restaurants to choose from)
A restaurant is also available every niight @ Chaweng garden, right on the beach, serving fresh seafood cooked to your liking and other delicious meals!
We cant recommend Chaweng Garden high enough!

"I stayed at Samaya Wellness Resort for two weeks. The staff were consistently pleasant and the room was always kept clean. The buffet-style breakfast was okay but those who stay for longer visits may find it to be lacking in variety. There are plenty of nearby reasonably priced restaurants.
The resort has two pools - the one I used was small but good for exercise. The biggest drawback for me was that it was not possible to swim in the water off the beach. After going out into waste deep water, one's feet can be shredded by the rocks. Other beaches may be preferrable if one wants t swim in the ocean."

"Solid location, close to the beach and the lake in Chaweng. Rooms are big and include a fridge, kettle and hairdryer. Shower is good enough and includes a bath but that doesn't seem to fill up.

"This hotel was okay for 1-2 nights, although compared to what other hotels offer for that price it could be either better or cheaper. Had to buy a hair dryer in the nearest supermarket, although for the last 2 years of living on hotels I have never been in need of buying this stuff, hotels normally provide hair dryers, not a big deal for them. Also different insects were in the room which is not the case for other hotels I have had experience with in Samui"

ИИринэWe stayed at the hotel for a week, booking a room on the second floor with a sea view. However, due to the bar's roof, the sea wasn't visible; we had a pool view instead. The hotel itself is small and compact, located not far from the Grandpa and Grandma rocks, with a small street nearby offering souvenirs and cafes.
The room wasn't very large, but the shower room with the toilet was spacious. There was a noticeable damp smell, though. Our room was equipped with a bed, air conditioning, a few tables, a chair, a large mirror (a rarity for Thailand!), a lighted cosmetic mirror, a wardrobe, a luggage rack, a fridge, a kettle, a tea set, and sachets of coffee, tea, and sugar. A welcome fruit plate was also provided. Beach towels were available, along with a large rubber beach bag, which was very convenient. Slippers and a full set of toiletries were included: cotton pads, cotton buds, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel, and hair conditioner.
We dried our clothes either on the balcony or in the shower, and everything seemed to dry fine. There's a TV, and we found Russian videos on YouTube, so we weren't bored if we stayed in the room in the evenings. We were quite surprised by the lack of an iron, but it seems that ironing isn't common there, so not all hotels provide them. 7/11 stores are within walking distance, and prices are reasonable, though beer is cheaper by the pack at the Macro hypermarket.
We had breakfast included, but didn't go every day. Breakfasts were decent; not super varied, but we never left hungry – everything tasted good. They served a fruit plate, a plate with cheese/butter/ham, and you could order either an omelet or scrambled eggs, with optional bacon and cheese. The coffee from the machine was quite strong, even with milk. There was always a crispy baguette, toast bread with a toaster, and a variety of fruits like rambutan, bananas, passion fruit, and watermelon (which varied daily). Yogurts, muesli, pastries, cookies, cucumbers, tomatoes, and leafy salad were also available.
Getting to Lamai night market on foot takes almost an hour, by taxi it's about 200 baht, and walking directly along the beach takes about 25 minutes. There's a small food market towards the Red Temple, which also has live music and a small trampoline for kids. Prices there are dirt cheap.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The beach near the hotel has some rocks, but if you walk a bit to the left, there are fewer rocks and lots of fish. Crabs hang out among the rocks in the mornings. The hotel offers free paddleboards (SUPs) – we took them a couple of times – and also masks and snorkels. We only noticed the latter later, so we had already bought our own.
There are dogs living at the hotel, but they are absolutely friendly, usually just chilling among the guests, and only bark at fishermen. No need to be afraid!
We arrived before check-in time and had to wait a bit, but we were checked in on schedule. Overall, the hotel is quite good, but a bit far from the nightlife. If you're mobile, getting around the island won't be an issue. There were no Russians at first, then a couple and a man arrived. Primarily, Germans stay there. I give the hotel a solid four out of five stars and wish them prosperity! Thanks for the hospitality!

The restaurant by the beach is great, we enjoyed the breakfast by the sea, the prices at the restaurant are a bit pricey but having a coconut juice by the beach is worth it. The amenities overall were good, 4 stars for cleanness because the air con was dirty inside out. The dust was visible on the top of AC and the air wasn’t fresh.

The cliffside restaurant is absolutely stunning, perfect for sunset, though we didn't get one. The male manager there was great to chat with, super friendly and made the experience really enjoyable.
The beaches are numerous and very private, really nice and give a sense of adventure.
Big thumbs up for the pool! Swam for ages, barely anyone there, and it's long and beautiful.
Lots of Chinese guests, haha.
The charming front desk lady was very efficient.
However, the air conditioning was very loud. Even on the lowest setting, it was still very cold and noisy. The balcony design was quite interesting, but it's not a villa.

We ate all three meals at the hotel, and the prices were reasonable, plus the restaurant had a beautiful view. In the afternoon, there was also free afternoon tea by the public pool.

The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location is another major highlight is it is right on the beach, making it incredibly convenient for morning swims and sunset strolls. The hotel itself was comfortable and well maintained, providing a relaxing base for our trip. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great service in a beachside location.

We stayed for a couple of nights and loved the variety of included activities, from morning yoga and Muay Thai to circuit classes, paddle boarding, and snorkeling—all very well organized. The restaurant was excellent; we enjoyed the ”Taste of Northern Thailand” dinner, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had. The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly, and attentive to every detail. Highly recommend this relaxing retreat!

I believe it’s the best location for me as I can go to the beach on one end and the other end I can go straight easily to the Mall. GGuest UserI’ll start to say that the overall stay was nice, beautiful resort, nice view, well located.
But a few things important to relate, the bed was very hard, mattress uncomfortable, pillows flat, bed sheets old. After 5 nights spent there, both my gf and I suffered from back pain. Then the socket on the bed side table was broken, on our last night, the water stopped when I was right in the middle of showering and the toilets were clogged from time to time. Lastly there was way too much chlorine inside our private pool.

GGuest UserThe staff were very pleasent and accommodating, the pools were nice and clean, unfortunately the beach in front of the hotel is terrible, there is no beach directly in front of the hotel and the rest of the bay is covered in oil and quite unkept.
