Booked this trip last minute with my son. Was slightly concerned about the reviews before we left as there was a mixture of good and bad. Ended up having the most amazing holiday. I couldn't fault the rooms there were definitely over sized and very clean and modern (one of the nicest I have stayed in). All the pools were amazing and constantly being cleaned by staff. The animation team tried really hard and were very friendly. Hotel position was great. You could just pop round the corner for a drink or meal, beach was only 10 minutes walk and Bayhibe itself was also very nice (either a 40 minute walk or 10 dollars in a taxi). Hotel wasn't really busy during our stay but we met many lovely guests from the UK. The only slight negative comment I would give is that you didn't always get asked if you wanted a drink in the buffet restaurant and I did feel it was a little easier getting a drink int he bars if you spoke in Spanish but overall it was extremely good value for money and exceeded our expectations. The best part of the day was watching the sunset coming down with someone playing a musical instrument in the background. Would also recommend the Saona Island Day trip that we booked with the guy who shares the pool towel hut. Half the price of Tui and an amazing day.

The Maura typical cabin manager told us that he is no longer working with Trip.com, who only do it with Booking or Airbnb because they don't charge any fees. When we arrived, we told us we had no reservation, we cancel if we had done it at Trip.com, we still wait for the reimbursement of Trip.com and we had to pay for the stay in cash.

I have an upcoming booking for this hotel on 11/03-11/09, and so far the experience has been absolutely terrible without even staying yet. My wife, myself and my parents are booked for my sister‘s wedding that has 30+ guests. At first, the Hilton put us in the wrong hotel (family resort instead of adult resort), after claiming they had no rooms available at the adult resort even though they have multiple rooms available through the app, including upgrades. They told my sister- the bride, our 80-year-old father could walk back-and-forth in between resorts if he wanted to be with the family, which is 30+ guests. After multiple emails back-and-forth to several different managers from my sister and I, we finally got moved, never told and ignored via email when asked. I found out after I checked my Hilton app. Furthermore, as a gold member elite status they’re refusing to upgrade my room. They put me in the most basic room available. I have yet to be at one Hilton resort where I have not been upgraded me as a gold elite member. I’ve contacted the hotel multiple times at the email address provided with no response whatsoever. As of this date, they have still failed to respond to me and continue to have me the runaround. They also failed to respond to my sister after trying to get confirmation that all of the guests are in the correct resort. As a gold member elite, I frequent several Hiltons around the world. I am absolutely disgusted with this hotel resort, and I have not even stayed there yet. They deny, refuse, ignore guests. I will be contacting corporate… Jeffrey Cox
