The hotel is about ten minutes' walk from Boudhanath Stupa. The room is large and there is a very nice courtyard. The breakfast is okay, there is yoga in the morning, and there is a very good spa. Overall, I am very satisfied. I will probably choose it again in the future.

The price is a bit expensive. The slippers are flip-flops, not very comfortable. Breakfast bar, drink too much, have few choices to eat

What a slice of heaven. After trekking in a very remote area, coming to such a exceptionally beautiful hotel with large rooms, gorgeous, hot showers, and in a quiet location was a complete joy. And did I mention clean. The staff was so gracious!

What a relaxing, pampered spot after our Kachenjungs trek. The rooms were spacious, staff friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning. Centrally located for visits to Boudhanath Stuppa and many good restaurants.

Nestled in the peaceful Boudha area, this hotel provides the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. The tranquil ambiance, lush greenery, and beautifully maintained gardens create a serene environment that feels like a home away from home. The rooms are impeccably clean, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with all modern amenities while maintaining a warm, traditional charm. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, offering personalized and attentive service throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the in-house Lungta Restaurant, which serves an exquisite blend of Nepali and ******* cuisines. Every meal was a delight, made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and presented with care. The Himalaya Thali, in particular, was a standout! The hotel’s proximity to the iconic Boudhanath Stupa is a huge bonus. It’s just a short walk away, allowing easy access to one of Kathmandu’s most revered sites while still enjoying the peaceful seclusion of the hotel. As the name says this hotel is a boutique hotel. It is cozy and comfortable. Staff is very courteous and very helpful. The restaurant and food were very good. I loved the hospitality and helpfulness of the team. The manager was very accommodative and understanding. Amazing place to stat and definitely recommend to one and all.

Pretty much messed up system . Has a policy of not letting in the compound with helmet as if with the helmet people hit someone but even can not manage a simple thing i.e separate drawer for keeping the helmet . Head staff I don’t think he has that much hospitality of talking to other Nepali staff. Respecting only to foreigners it’s not fair .

Shambaling is a delightful boutique hotel in Kathmandu, 10 mins walk from the Boudhha Stupor. The streets are authentic and clean which is a nice change from the tourist area of Thamel. The food is delicious and staff are incredibly warm and friendly. I paid a little extra for a garden view room.
