Courtyard Baton Rouge Downtown

I was quoted one price for a room and charged more. I had to pay a pre booking fee. Then after a had paid months in advance, when we checked it they hit me with another $40 charge. Our room was not ready as promised, we had to get another room on another floor away from our family. We we returned after our event that night the only entrance was thru the main lobby doors. It was a smoke fest outside these doors. Now we smelled like smoke the rest of the night. The only good thing was a valet, he was friendly. Better understand the total cost before you book a room here, you will pay more than expected. This was true of the two other parties who stayed there also. Never again

Fantastic friendly staff. Very helpful. Super clean rooms with views of downtown and the river. Close to the activities down town. Only complaint is that the parking lot is not secure and you have to walk down an alley to get back to hotel. The food is okay but a little expensive.

Recently stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Baton Rouge Downtown for a 3-day business trip. Overall, the experience was very good. On the positive side, the rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable, including the temperature. Valet parking service was very prompt and efficient. The hotel has a bar with a limited food menu and a nice seating area. The location is within walking distance to numerous restaurants and local attractions. A few minor issues: while most of the hotel staff were friendly, there were a couple of staff who were indifferent or seemed to have a chip on their shoulder for reasons I didn't understand. The water temperature in the bathroom sink ran for some reason from hot to very hot - no cold water. I was initially assigned a room right next to the elevators, despite my request to be far away from the elevators. When I asked to change rooms, I was accommodated quickly, only to be assigned a new room on the street corner, which can be noisy at night due to the proximity to traffic and crowds of people standing outside nearby restaurants. Overall, I was pleased with my stay, however, and I would stay at this property again if I ever return to the area. Ebony from the housekeeping staff was very kind and did an excellent job cleaning my room - she seemed to make an extra effort to make everything just perfect.

My husband and I stayed here to bring in the new years December 30, 2022 - January 1, 2023. Upon checking out sis not see vehicle damage. Drove a few minutes away stopped saw it called hotel and they said come back. We went back, desk representative said this happens all the time and they will handle. She called the manager who said get the information and have her call back. It is now almost Labor Day 2023 my vehicle HAS NOT been repaired. I have called /emailed SEVERAL times no reps ones. My husband has sent emails no response. I have a claim number with the Marriott, the rep called and still no response. The assistant manager is Carly Erwin who I have all of her emails from March, April and still have no heard anything back. I let her know what the repairs shop said . Have not heard from her or a representative of hers / Marriott’s. As the desk rep said the vehicle is valet parked in just a public parking lot. It is not a private lot like the Hilton located on 3rd street they said. So they have no idea what happened to vehicle. Carly in her email said a insurance representative would contact me so have no been contacted by mail, email (to mine or my husbands) or phone call (not mine or my husbands).

Great location in Downtown Baton Rouge. Within walking distance of several restaurants. We stayed during the Spanish Town parade and we enjoyed the convenient location. Bed was a little firmer than we prefer but overall room was clean and nice.

It's a Courtyard with a very neat location downtown in Baton Rouge, LA. Hotel is very new, has lots of plugs and places to charge your devices. Fridge and coffee maker supplied. Everything as you would expect. The room was in excellent condition. Parking is a little strange self parking is a block away but you get there quick. I would stay here again and I am lifetime Titanium with Marriott. No photos but the photos on the corporate site and this site are both very good and represent the actual facility.

Firstly, and very importantly the room was clean! The coffee maker in our room did not work, the coffee cups provided were different sizes and had different logos on them, only one was wrapped. There were no sweeteners or creamer. There was no hair dryer. When I went to the front desk they were ABSOLUTELY no help! The person at the “Bistro” was not set up and had to go in the back to get the coffee and creamer. Really bad attitude, If he walked any slower he could not remain upright. It is difficult at this time to find people who will work, I know, but WOW!

We stayed here for 4 nights starting Saturday night - about 12 -15 folks stayed at this hotel and we also rented a conference room. Hotel is very comfortable. - Check in was a breeze. The parking is by valet - self parking is also available but the garage is a block or two away.- Valet parking is $22 and self parking is 10. The person at the valet was very friendly and helpful They have a cafe and bar in the hotel lobby with breakfast and dinner options. - there is also a real starbucks that is attached to the hotel which was very convenient.. The rooms were very spacious. the wifi was quite fast, the AC was cold enough and the bathrooms are quite big. Some of the cons - they do not offer regular housekeeping - so when you stay for 4 days it becomes a little tough, no coffee replacement, no cups, no towels refreshed, etc.

This was our first overnight stay in Baton Rouge at the Courtyard. Check-in was easy and the staff were very professional and helpful with dinner recommendations. The hotel is centrally located. We enjoyed the balcony room and are already planning a return trip.
