The rooms in the main building are beautiful. A rare view. The restaurant is understaffed and the waiting time for breakfast is too long. If you don't rush, it will take at least an hour.
Martin, the concierge, is very good. He helped us find a restaurant because most of the restaurants are closed on weekends. He also drove us there because he was afraid that we didn't know the mountain roads in Bath. The two restaurants he recommended are very delicious and trustworthy.

The waiting area for check-in is very British and beautiful. We booked a classic room, which requires us to walk through the main building, pass the garden, and come to the second floor of a stable. The room is clean and the toilet is relatively large. But the location is a bit disappointing. The high price and high positioning of the hotel make us automatically assume that the view of the room will be particularly good, overlooking the city of Bath. The actual situation is disappointing. Its meant to be a luxury-ish short weekend getaways before my job starts as my partner can't take a long leave.
The delux double room is a huge disappointmemt.Understably, it is a very premium location and other guest probably pay a lot more. However, I wouldn't think of paying over £300 to get a room feeling like a old day servant's room. Being placed at the roof extension room with the view mostly blocked, the floor makes the typical old wooden cracking noise as we walk. The curtain, carpet and bathroom are not in the best condition. The glass on top of the table and desk are not well fitted.
Another thing is that, without any previous notice, the spa closed foe maintenance the morning we leave. The fake plants make it look less luxury than its branded.
The plus side, it is kind of inclusive which the spa pool, gym and breakfast are included. The breakfast is quite nice if you like English breakfast or they have some basic buffet.

If you can afford it, this hotel will pamper your every need and is in a perfect location for exploring Bath. From concierge to reception, the truly 5-star service is more attentive than you will receive at other hotels. The room was huge and beautifully appointed. They even put my name on the door! Nothing was lacking. Montagu's Mews: both the restaurant and bar were outstanding and gorgeous. The bartenders are artists--not only do they craft cocktails for seasonal menus, they can make just about anything you request perfectly. Room service was the fastest I've ever experienced--hard to believe it is 24/7. The garden that links the main building to the restaurant and spa is delightful. In short, staying here is worth the splurge. We all need to feel like kings and queens sometimes, am I right/

So glad I chose this hotel. I am very picky and this hotel did not disappoint in any way. The grounds are gorgeous, food very good and afternoon tea was a real treat. Room with view of the front lawn was so wonderful. Breakfast served until 10:30 which was good for us as we like to sleep in a bit. Loved loved loved

It was my first time to the hotel and I was very impressed with the cleanliness, comfort and attention to small details. The staff were very friendly but professional and I got the sense of being special yet also feeling comfortable and at home.
