We were 32 persons (28 adults and 4 kids) for this great family reunion hosted by my sister who visited from Canada. Choosing Lago de Oro is the best decision we made because the place did not disappoint us. We booked 3 suites (Suites Prince Alain, Prince Albert, and Premier Family) and they're all on the same floor in their new building. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the toilet and bath huge and with sufficient hot water, we were all able to sleep soundly in our own assigned beds (nobody needed to sleep uncomfortably) because extra mattresses were provided, the bedsheet are crisp and clean, the towels are generous and the location perfect - all walking distance to the pool beach, restaurants and nearby wakeboarding area. The staff service are superb especially Ms Bea onsite operations, Kaye from reservations, F&B staff in the main restaurant, Housekeeping team and the wakeboard staff. The food very good but quite pricey - good for sharing though. No other restaurants nearby so no choice but dine in. Food if brought will have corkage fee - you are only allowed to bring light snacks. Overall, our stay was excellent! I hope service quality remains the same because we hope to come back again one day.

Staff welcomed us warmly, they were accommodating and courteous. The place was lovely. They had grey sand beach. Some garbage scattered all over the beach, as some typical beaches (I really admire palawan for their effort in taking care of their beaches. They have cleaners raking off leaves, sea****s and garbage if any.). Anyway, the room was good, aircon was working properly, bed were spacious, pillows not smelly, toilet was clean and showers are heated. The wifi was working well at the pool area and maybe some rooms around it. The room, services and free breakfast was perfect for the price. It is not a luxury hotel but I can say the that the owner and staff are doing great effort with their services. Its a great find for a budget hotel. We rented their cheapest room. There were 3 of us, 2 adults and 1 kid. There was even a single bed for the kid. The path going to the resort was a bit challenging. Once you reach the road where only one car fits, you might think twice, but theres no turning back: literally😂. Anyway, we had fun.
Great care is taken to ensure guests experience comfort through top-notch services and amenities. Parking is accessible, supplied by the resort for guests who arrive by car. We as permanent senior citizens from Sta.Rosa ,Laguna come to Matabunkay for almost 30 Years . Well this was the last time in Coral Beach! First: the bill of drinks doublet miraculously .My intervention and complain was noticed , We received a new one without the included refund. They thought they can keep the money, because I overtip mostly with 10% .And also no sorry for error! I claimed for refund and asked for at least an apology. Well this happened later numerous times from other employees! Bye the way we expats are often taken as walking ATM machines here . This about the so calld Filipino hospitality. 2. About 11pm I woke up from loud voices with laughing etc. out from the pool. I told them to shut up because I want to sleep .The probably Chinese guy with bacla friends aprouched me agressivly with intention to beat me up. I'm76 year old , with cancer and quite week. I gave up.....and went back to our room .They continued to swim until about 1am! 3.Barely sleeping we left the resort without breakfast around 6'30 Still confused and angry we forgot Phone fast charger and 3m extension Cable. But do you think we got noticed from the staff there ? They have our calling Nr and address. No ! Find out now if you want to go there ! I don't recommend it anymore . My previous reviews always are 5 Star. Now they get 3 !

Had a great time in this quiet uncrowded resort in Batangas. First i thought we were'nt able to push thru with this trip because our S-Pass keeps denied despite of multiple attempts. But all's well that ends well. We were welcomed by Mr. Dennis with warmed smile. We were of course studied the place we will be going (as i always did in all our trips) to avoid disappointments. Since i already knew that the resort is far from the city, we really prepared and buy all the things we needed good for 3 days stay. (so that you wont feel like you're trapped) Mr. Dennis gave us room number 1 and room number 2, the rooms were all neat, clean, with good a/c units, only, room 2 has no kettle provided but that's ok. If you have room reservation, cottage were already free to used, all cottages has garbage in the corner so you have garbage for all your trash. The place is relaxing, with cool air and many good spots for picture takings. The pool is clean, and not crowded, swim as long as you want. However, The beach in the afternoon is not swimmable because of low tide, so swim in the morning,,, you will also enjoy walking along the seashore. They also have mini sandbar in the middle of the seashore where we enjoyed swimming and picture takings. It was clean. They also have restaurant where you can order food but we were'nt able to try it since we have enough food for 3 days. You can bring your own ”baon” with a corkage of Php500.00 per room. (Mr. Dennis gave us discount and we just pay 500 corkage fee for the 2 rooms.) You can also grill as they have area for that, so just bring raw meat/seafood. Best if you have cooler for storage for your meats. Overall, we were satisfied. Given the chance, we will go back to this resort, quiet uncrowded, peaceful, calm. A place indeed for relaxation.

i enjoyed my stay at Crusoe Cabins. The beds and the cabins are clean and comfortable. I like the chair swing in the veranda. I appreciate that the aircons were very cool.
I like it that they provide bikes for us to move around. They also has a golf cart that goes around every now and then.
Service is good, the staffs are friendly and easy to talk to. Towels are just a little tattered. I love the toiletries though.
The beach is clean, not deep. Water was just knee high even if you have walked several feet away. It is good for none swimmers like me. My 93 year old mom even went to the waters and walked several feet away. The pool needs some upkeep. Some paints are chipping already. My son enjoyed the water slide though.
It was a nice weekend even if I find the price expensive. I have not gone around but I know there are cheaper resorts in the area. I am just not sure how they compare.

We recently visited at the El Hardin de Zaida for an overnight stay with mom and my aunt and I can say it was all pleasant. The place was a gated property at the border of Laiya and San Juan. Check-in procedures were great and we had a special treat of being upgraded to the premium stay which gave us access to the exclusive pool that is adjacent to our hotel room. For the room, it was clean and spotless one but the vanity desk didn't have a mirror in front of it. The bathroom was nice. It had a drying rack, a bidet but the shower needs a bath mat to prevent guests from unnecessary accidents. Food was splendid. Late lunch, an evening at Rudy's and the breakfast. One of our highly considered decisions for choosing El Hardin de Zaida was the Spa. Prior to the trip, we called the place to ask if we needed to book a reservation for the therapy but we were told that we can avail the services on the spot. When we arrived, we were told that there was only one therapist available. We were three. Therefore, it would be impossible for us to avail 2.5 hours worth of wellness services all together. We hope that this can be carefully addressed to prevent the guests from expecting the availability of the spa. Overall, the stay and the food was great.
GGuest UserGreat place to run away from the hustle of everyday life. I love the vibe of this resort. The staff is really amazing and full of smiles. From Donald, the supervisor who really took care of all the small details we needed, to the cook and his team who accommodated us, Pam, Mars, Christine, Jenel with his amazing voice, Jade with her kind face, the 2 Christians, Junjun, Josh, all of you who made us feel home. Also, thank you to Kuya, who took care of my diving gear. Thank you again for your kindness. Bongskee, my master diver with whom I did 8 dives , really enjoyed every moment in that resort. Some people might say it's not wow 5 stars resort yes but the vibe and the people make up for it. Thank you, Philip ( the owner ) for the complimentary drinks that kept coming. I recommend this place for families and couples who are looking for a nice vibe. This resort is not Padi certified, so it's not a typical diving resort, but they booked me a Master diver with a boat, and I can't, but thank them for the fun I had. Will be back next year for sure.
NnyiorelacbMy dog and I were actually celebrating our birthday during the stay. We arrived around 8:30pm as we had some errands before going to the resort. As for the room, WOW! So happy it’s just 1st floor and has breathtaking seaview since I have senior mom with me. The location is actually a little bit far but it’s understandable since it’s a diving spot. I really love that it’s almost a secluded place. The beach is not crowded and it’s beside the 5-star resort, so called Vivere. The service is great, however, the reception is so hard to reach. Their mobile number is not working, I think? Plus the telephone in the room. ‘Cause everytime I dial, it doesn’t push through. Just a suggestion, since the front desk is not 24/7, atleast improve the communication service with the reception using other platform like social media or messaging app to address guests’ concern. Cleanliness, it’s good but I spotted some stains in the linens, particularly with the duvet cover and flat sheet. It was an old stain which I think laundry can no longer remove it. But it didn’t bother me at all, so long it’s not blood. For the amenities, highly recommended! You don’t have to look for anything else because they have it in the hotel. I just hope that the elevator soon will be available (one of the staff told us). Also, kudos to the one who assisted us when we arrived. I wasn’t able to get his name but maybe he’s from HK Dept. I appreciated how he’s happy to help us eventhough we have to go down 200+ steps and go up as well. I think he was also one of the staffs who carried our things when we checked-out. :) For the resto, food was awesome and the staffs are easy to approach :) Overall, I will recommend it and surely will comeback, not just for leisure but for diving (as I’m planning to push Scuba soon). Thank you so much, Altamare! 💛 So glad I found this pet-friendly and peaceful resort in the heart of Batangas!

Bbluewaffler27Checked in: Jan 25, 2021 Time: 9:51 PM Deluxe Room 12hrs Me and my partner checked-in at this hotel late at night since it was the decent one we found near the grand terminal. The room given to us was clean but the floor was really sticky. We remember checking in at around 10pm but I had to call the front desk the next morning (9am) just to make sure I'm not mistaken since they did not provide us any checkout information when we paid for our room. The girl who I spoke to said we checked in at 9pm and they will only allow a 15min grace period for us to pack up and leave right away. I asked how much it will cost for us to have an additional hour so we can eat breakfast but the girl said she is not sure of how and that she will need to call us back. After a few minutes she called back and said we need to pay 180PHP for another hour to spend at the hotel. My partner was the one who answered the call and agreed so that they would let us stay until 10am. They DO NOT SERVE ANY MEALS, only cup noodles and junk food so we had to order food delivery. My partner went down the lobby to get our breakfast from the delivery guy and also spoke to the receptionist to confirm what was our check-in time last night. She was told it was 9:51PM and not 9PM contrary to what she told me when I called. After eating we packed up our things and went down right away so that we no longer need to extend an additional hour on our stay. The receptionist told us we still need to pay 180PHP even though we did not consume the 1hr extension since it was already recorded on their system. I argued but had to pay since we were on a hurry. TLDR: WE WERE ASKED TO PAY FOR AN EXTRA HOUR ON OUR STAY EVEN THOUGH WE CHECKED OUT ON TIME. THEY DO NOT SERVE ANY MEALS. THE STAFF IS NOT FRIENDLY AND PROPERLY TRAINES, EVEN THE GUARD WHO KEPT ON STARING AT US. P.S I HOPE THE MANAGEMENT WILL TAKE ACTION AND TRAIN THEIR PEOPLE TO BE PROFESSIONAL. CUSTOMER RELATIONS NEED IMPROVEMENT. THE RECEPTIONIST IS INCONSIDERATE.
MMonaliza ElizagaOur stay with Canyon woods last Christmas was awesome! It made my family bonded again after long time
Since the pandemic.
The place is calm relaxing and serene as we all had time to just be ourselves and reminisce. It was a Christmas spent worthwhile and we will visit the place again as soon as we have long vacation. The staff are courteous, food is great and price is reasonable. Weather is the best and the views are superb! The kids enjoyed playing billiards and table tennis too.
GGuest UserDear Sir. Joven of Canyon Cove Hotel and Spa, I am writing to express my gratitude for the wonderful experience I had during our recent stay at Canyon Cove Hotel And Spa. You and the staff at Canyon Cove Hotel and Spa were exceptional in their service and made sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From the receptionists to the restaurant staff, everyone was friendly and approachable. They were always ready to assist in any way possible to ensure that I had a pleasant stay. The room I stayed in was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The amenities provided were top-notch, and I appreciated the little touches such as the complimentary toiletries, fresh towels, and the comfortable bed. The food at the hotel's restaurant was delicious, and I was impressed by the wide variety of dishes available. The quality of the food was excellent, and the presentation was impressive. Overall, my stay at Canyon Cove Hotel and Spa was a memorable and enjoyable experience. I would like to thank you and your staff for providing excellent service and for creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend Canyon Cove Hotel and Spa to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay in the area. Best regards, Joanne K.
AAnn89The location is great, one tricycle ride to the Nasugbu downtown - where you can do groceries and eat at common fast foods, like McDonalds. The fare is Php20 only. The beach is not appealing, since it has black or dark sand. But you can opt to go to nearby islets with white sand and clearer water, you just need to rent a boat. The rooms are not that clean, and hardly maintained with a very old airconditioning unit. The tiny bathroom has a foul smell. No water heater, but you can get hot/cold water at the restaurant. Wifi is so-so, it can reach the guest's room area but if you need a stronger connection you need to go closer to the restaurant or reception area. A lot of things need to be improved in this resort. But this area in Nasugbu has one of the great sunset views.
