On the 25th March 2022 around 6pm, my wife checked in at OS hotel airport batam. Me and wife came from singapore. I am singaporean, my wife is local batam. We came to batam to attend my wife bestfriend wedding and visit families at the same time. We booked OS hotel from 25th to 31st march. On the 25th after checked in, my wife sold her gold at a local goldsmiths because it cannot fit anymore. Total amount is 15million rupiah. In between 25th to 27th, we have spend 4million rupiah. Leaving a balance of 11million rupiah. On the 28th March morning, she took 1 million rupiah from that bundle of cash and put it inside her wallet. Balance 10miliion rupiah in that stack. She put it on the dressing table. We had alot of bags and gifts to carry. Gifts for families and friends. We left in a rush and my wife have forgotten the money that was on the dressing table. We realised it when we were at a goldsmith when we want to make payment. We then turned back to the hotel. Distance is around 20mins. When reach the hotel, we entered our room, and guess what??? Surprise!!!!! Money gone. Called the reception and requested to view the cctv. Was told to hold first. Around 10mins later, reception called our room and said CCTV is broken. CCTV IS BROKEN GUYS!!!!! What a coincidence!!! Called the manager. Hotel manager said hotel do not hold any responsibilities. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!! They also told us not to report to the police. Today 30th March, still no help from Hotel management. Again, called the manager. Manager only said he do not know where the money is and nothing can be done. WHERE IS THE SAFETY OF THIS HOTEL???? CCTV BROKEN!!!! Hours after incident, CCTV is working fine. Do think 10 times before staying at this hotel. THERE IS NO SERVICE RECOVERY OR COMPENSATION AT ALL
