The Oriental Bataan

Room was not clean. Mosquitoes every day and night that makes my sleep not comfortable, thanks to Baygon. WiFi was so weak in my room so I have to use my own broadband. Money is not worth. Water leak in the toilet which I believed it has been reported, perhaps the cleaner saw it everyday. I can't go to the backyard of my room as it was like a bushland. My solution was to early check out and stay in other hotel even i was planning to stay for more than a month. Today is October 10, 2022. I used to stay here for around one month every year and its getting worst. Its nice to see pictures in their website but for me i would suggest to show the actual condition which is quite different so people will not be misled.
Rancho Bernardo Luxury Villas and Resort
4.5/513 Reviews
Thank you so much for the great staff in this place. We felt the warm hospitality during our stay. The place is majestic and the intricate details of the wood work will make you love the place. It is quite luxurious even if it’s smaller in scale compared to some of the luxury resorts in Bataan (ie Las Casas, Montemar, Anvaya). It’s very quiet so you will be able to relax anywhere. The bed is also very good so your sleep will be nice. The only major improvement is the food. I think that the selection is limited since a lot were not available. The taste is also not worth the price. It’s too expensive for Pinoy home cooked meals. There are also ants but this is bearable and we are also in a farm so bugs and ants will be inevitable. Other than the food, everything else has been great!
Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar
4.5/546 Reviews
Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is a cool place, but it has its ups and downs. When we arrived, checking in wasn't smooth. Our key card didn't work, and we had to wait 30-40 minutes to get into our room. Plus, there wasn't even a place to wait comfortably. The food at the Filipino restaurant was okay, but it was pricey for what you got. Breakfast was better though, with lots of yummy Filipino dishes at a fair price. Housekeeping staffs and jeepney drivers were awesome. They were really nice and helpful. Our room was big and had a huge bathroom, which was nice. There's a ton of stuff to do around the resort, so staying just one night isn't enough. You really need at least two days to enjoy everything. The best part was seeing all the old houses. They were like stepping back in time and were super interesting. Overall, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is a neat place to visit, even though it has some things that could be better.

La Jolla Luxury Beach Resort
4.4/547 Reviews
Less than 3hr drive from makati, La Jolla is an excellent beach getaway destination. Rooms are clean and comfortable- premium rooms have sea views while deluxe rooms face the garden/interior road. There are 2 pools- one infinity pool at the beach and one kids pool/small lagoon pool up by the main lobby and playground. The beach is the main attraction- soft white grey sand, very few small rocks. Shallow drop similar to boracay makes it very family friendly. Nice trees provide shade near the sunbeds. Food- main restaurant has the breakfast buffet, while the beach restaurant serves lunch & dinner. The menu is limited, but portions are generous for the price and food was quite good. Pepperoni Pizza was good, and the chicken inasal & pinakbet with lechon kawali were delicious. The hamburger was the only item that we didn’t like the taste of. We had to preorder in advance since some menu items were not available and the service would take time. Staff are very friendly, but we did need to remind them almost daily to clean our room. WiFi is available and globe signal is significantly weaker than smart. Rooms have cignal tv. Special mention to Joyce, mark and the rest of the f&b crew for tirelessly serving the guests during the Christmas break! We will definitely go back soon.
Casa Veles Hotel
4.2/55 Reviews
This is the 4th hotel I styed in Mariveles and at last we found gem in the heart of the FAB district. Staffs: Excellent service and always helpful and smiling. Rooms: Very clean and the size is good enough for a couple. Free WiFi, numbers of TV channels, fridge and unlimited drinking water supply that you can get from the dispenser outside. Coffee and tea in the room with small water cooker, simple and enough supply of amenities. Street parking is allowed and there is always a night watch. Banks and ATM are just 50 meters away, there is a convenient store and a coffee shop 100 meters away. It takes 5 minutes to drive to the dry and wet market which is the best fish market in the province of Bataan. If you are in Mariveles during summer time, try to get a tripping to Five Fingers. If you fancy hiking and trekking, take the 8 hours hike to Mt. Tarak which is one of the best spot in Bataan, be sure to start at 0600 am from the entrance.
